//------------------------------// // The legend of Trotlantis // Story: The Lost Prophecy // by darkmage1997 //------------------------------// After the founding of the Alicorn's Wish Guild, the mutants from New Burbank took jobs from all over Equestria, and beyond. Brian, Icezer, and Raiden, three of the eight Fujiyama Brothers were out on one such job for someone in Manehatten. Their job: Find and Capture a gang of thieves that had been terrorizing the shopping district, "According to our sources, they should be in that abandoned factory," Raiden said, as the three of them snuck their way over, sticking to the shadows. They used the nearby fire escape to get onto the roof, where they saw all of the thieves, admiring their loot. "C'mon you mugs! We gotta skip town before someone finds us!" the boss said. "Too late," Brian said, as the three brothers broke in through the skylight. "Its those Alicorn's Wish mutants! Get 'em!" the boss ordered, as thugs swarmed the tree brothers. The brothers, however, effortlessly fought back. Brian spewed fire at them, Icezer froze some more thieves, and Raiden zapped some more with his electricity. The boss then grabbed all the loot he could carry, and made a break for it. "Not so fast!" Icezer said, summoning a wall of ice in front of every exit in the factory. "Man these guys were weak!" Brian commented, just as the police arrived. They promptly arrested each of the thieves, including the boss. "Thanks for the help guys! We couldn't get close to them on account of they're former professional wrestlers, and could snap us like twigs," the police chief said. "No problem man," Icezer said, as the police took the thieves away. The three brothers made their way back to the mayors office. "Oh, thanks for your help boys. Those punks have been messing up our economical structure for months!" the mayor said, handing the brothers their payment. "It was our pleasure mayor," Raiden said, as they left. However, upon arriving at the train station, they found that there was a delay, "Wonder what's going on?" Raiden asked. "Excuse me, what's wrong with the train?" Brian asked. "Something's keeping it from proceeding any further, up the line," the station master said, pointing in the direction of Ponyville. "Hmm, maybe we should check it out," Raiden suggested, as they took off. The three brothers followed the tracks, hoping to find out what happened to the train. They walked for about five miles through the forest, before they saw that the train had derailed, "We should see if we can help," Icezer suggested. However, as the brothers made their way towards the train, the ground beneath them collapsed. They screamed as they fell into a large cave. "Where are we?" Brian asked, summoning a fire ball for light. "Could this be some forgotten cave?" Raiden wondered, as they looked around, seeing multiple cave paintings, leading further in. "You guys think we should check it out?" Icezer asked. "Might as well, since we're here," Raiden said, as they walked along a path inside the cave, illuminated by Brian's fire. Raiden noticed something in the distance, "What's that?" he asked, as they rushed forward to see what was up ahead. Along the walls, they saw what looked to be painting on the cave walls. "Could this have been someone's home in the past?" Icezer wondered, as they reached a very large room. "Brian, can you give us some more light?" Raiden asked. "No problem," Brian said, enlarging the fireball. Looking around, the brothers saw something that made their eyes shrink to the pupils, "What the...?!" Brian exclaimed, as they saw a large mural, depicting some kind of story. "What is this?!" Raiden exclaimed, examining the massive mural, "These paintings look similar to Egyptian Hieroglyphs," he commented. "But, that's not the weirdest part," Icezer said. "What is the weirdest part?" Brian asked. "This," Icezer said, showing them a wall with weird symbols written on them, "Its some kind of weird language. And this is the first time I've seen this language, yet I can read it as though it were Japanese or English!" he exclaimed. "We need to inform the princesses of this, immediately!" Raiden exclaimed, as they rushed back to where they came from. Icezer then created a massive ice sculpture above ground, and a staircase leading out. Exiting the cave, they quickly ran back to Ponyville, as fast as they could run. Back in Ponyville, Twilight was lounging around her castle. She never had much to do in the way of royal duties. She just sat around her throne room, reading books from her library, "Ah, nothing like good book on a nice day like this," Twilight commented. Her reading was rudely interrupted by frantic knocking at the door, "Ugh, just when I was getting to the good part!" Twilight grumbled, as she went to the door. Opening he door, she saw Brian, Raiden, and Icezer, looking very tired, "Boys, what's wrong?" Twilight asked. "We found something on our last job, something HUGE!" Raiden replied. "We need you to contact Princess Celestia, and meet us in the forest outside of Manehatten. Look for a giant ice sculpture!" Icezer said. "But what did you find?" Twilight asked. "We'll explain when you all get there," Raiden said, as the brothers went back to the cave. Twilight, confused, but intrigued by their supposed discovery, took out some parchment and her ink well and quill, and started writing to Celestia, "My fellow Princess, Celestia, During their last job, Brian, Icezer, and Raiden all claim to have found something hugely important. I am not sure what they have found, but they claim that we may want to see it. The brothers are making their way back to the forest outside Manehatten as we speak. They insist that you come as soon as possible. Look for the giant ice sculpture coming out of the forest, Your fellow princess, Twilight Sparkle," Twilight wrote. She then used her magic to send the letter. Just then, Discord showed up. "Twilight, what were those three so riled up about?" Discord asked, a glass of chocolate milk appearing in his bear claw. "To be honest, I haven't a clue. They claim its huge," Twilight replied. Discord stroked his beard in a thinking manner. "Hmm, perhaps I should take a look for myself," Discord said, teleporting away. Just then, Spike came running in with a scroll. "Twilight, Celestia just replied back to your letter!" Spike said, as he unrolled it. "Dear Twilight, Upon reading your letter, I have come to the decision that I will go and see what it is that the three brothers had found. I advise you come along with us. Luna will also be accompanying me. See you soon, Your Fellow Princess and Mentor, Celestia," Spike read, "What could they have found?" Spike asked. "I'm not sure, but they seemed frantic about. I'd better get over to the forest outside Manehatten," Twilight said, teleporting away. Later, in the forest of Manehatten, "Alright boys, what did you find?" Discord asked. "Its down here," Brian said, as the three brothers leaped down into the cave, followed by Discord, Celestia, Luna, and Twilight. "And its through this passage way," Raiden said, leading the group through the cave. Brian once again summoned a ball of fire. They eventually came across the very same room with the cave paintings, "This is it," Raiden said. Looking at the paintings, Celestia, Luna, and Discord all gasped. "I never thought I would see this again," Celestia commented. "What is it?" Twilight asked. "Tell me something Twilight, have you ever heard of Trotlantis?" Discord asked. "I have, but that's just an old myth," Twilight replied. "Not quite, Trotlantis is very real, or rather, it was," Celestia replied. "What's 'Trotlantis'?" Icezer asked. "It was the very first city of Equestria, and the most ancient." Discord replied. "You better get the others. They must see this," Celestia said. Discord nodded, and teleported away, reappearing a second later with the others. "What's this all about?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What we are about to tell you, no one else may know," Celestia said sternly, "The legend goes back more than 2000 years ago, in a city called Trotlantis," Celestia said. "But isn't Trotlantis just a myth?" Rarity asked. "No. It was a very real city. It was ruled by a very young, very powerful pharaoh, who came into power when he was just ten years old. His name was Tobunkamen, last of the pharaohs. He lead a group of powerful sorcerers, known as the 'Keepers of Harmony.' Some of the most prominent members included Celina, a blind prophet that could see into the past, present, and future of anyone's life. Another is Conbolt, a very influential duke that always gave some profits he made to charity. Chester and his little sister, Marcy, who helped many couples work out their problems," Celestia said. "Other members included the Chaotic 12. An order of 12 knights that could bend certain elements to their will. There was also Jacob, the Pharaoh's chief adviser, Cornelius, the wisest astronomer who ever lived, Ruby, the local jeweler. Edward, the watchtower guard, Marcus, the head farmer of the kingdom," Luna added. "In fact, it was these sorcerers who forged the Elements of Harmony by cutting fragments from the Master Element," Celestia said. "Wait, so the Elements of Harmony were created by these guys?" Applejack asked. "Indeed. In fact, during that time, they were the most powerful of magic users, even more so than Starswirl the Bearded," Discord replied. "Stronger than the greatest of unicorn sorcerers?! Is that even possible?!" Twilight asked. "But there's more. It was also this order that crafted the shackles used to imprison Tirek in Tartarus," Celestia said. "Who is Tirek?" Silver asked. "The Ultimate Evil. He, alongside his brother Scorpan, came to Equestria to siphon off all the magic of the ponies, and to make their lives as miserable as possible. However, Scorpan learned the joys of our lives in Equestria, even befriending Starswirl. He attempted to talk Tirek out of conquering Equestria, but Tirek was always power hungry. In fact, I heard his parents say that even they weren't sure Tirek was a normal centaur to begin with," Celestia explained. "He recently resurfaced, and tricked me into betraying my friends, claiming he could offer me something better than friendship. But in the end, he siphoned off my magic, and eventually found himself back in Tartarus again," Discord replied. "Anyway, Trotlantis was the most successful empire whose reign lasted for countless years. Then, something went horribly wrong," Luna said, looking at Discord with an annoyed look. "Truth be told, this was back when I was still evil, and I corrupted the magic of all the humans, except the Keepers," Discord confessed. "They gave us the Elements of Harmony before Tobunkamen did the impossible. As the corruption of Discord spread over Trotlantis, Tobunkamen twisted time, and sealed the city in a bubble of slowed time, completely removed from the world," Celestia explained. "On top of that, the keepers did something even more impossible. They pooled their magic together, and separated their souls from their bodies, eventually finding their way to new host bodies at the time of the host's birth." Luna said. "That would explain Silver Spoon's fortune telling. She told me that there were two souls in my body," Toby commented. "No doubt a result of the final spell of the keepers," Celestia replied. "But what about this writing? Could the reason the three of us can read it clearly be a result of that spell too?" Raiden asked, looking at the writing. "Most likely. But we were never told what any of these symbols mean. Could you make sense of them?" Celestia asked. "Ok, lets see; 'I leave this message in hopes that sometime in the future, the new hot bodies of myself and my friends will find it. I also leave a vision I foresaw before the corruption of the Chaos Spirit. When all of the reincarnated Keepers of Harmony have returned to Equestria, the Ultimate Evil will once again arise. The act of a single soul cannot defeat him. The new Keepers must band together, in perfect union to vanquish this threat. Upon the final defeat of the Evil One, the Human population shall return to Equestria, and flourish alongside the inhabitants of the land. Above, my brother, Jacob drew a picture of what the keepers will look like, and placed magic jewels in each painting. When a member of the new Keepers arrives in Equestria, the Harmony Force will cause the jewels to react, and the magic will grow more powerful'," Raiden read, as they all looked up, to see paintings of 22 humans, each with a jewel in their chest. All but five were glowing. "Could this glow be a result of our being here?" Kelly asked. "Most likely," Celestia replied. "Five gems aren't glowing. That means we're all the reincarnations of the Keepers!" Silver exclaimed. "Most likely, when the five others appear, the gems in the five dormant paintings will begin to glow," Celestia said. "Which means we'll need to keep an eye out for any other humans that enter Equestria," Nathan commented. "Precisely," Luna replied. Everyone there was uneasy about the prophecy. "But for now, we should just return to our normal, everyday lives, as though nothing happened," Celestia suggested. "But what about the wall painting?" Twilight asked. "I'll put a seal on it. That way, only ourselves and the other five children will be able to enter," Discord said, snapping his talons. "And I trust you can keep an eye on it?" Celestia asked. "Can do, Princess," Discord said, as everyone exited the cave, and went back to their homes. In the French Country Side, of an alternate Earth, a young girl, with raven black hair shivered, as she was enjoying a cup of iced tea, "Hmm, what was that?" she pondered, going back to her tea. In a military facility, four capsules, holding four teenage bodied lifeforms were in a stated of suspended animation. In the dream of one of them, a little girl with glasses was playing in the field, "Henrietta, we will avenge you," the armored lifeform thought to itself.
