Spike woke up in his room, he looked around, "Twilight must of found me sleeping on the cloud with Scootaloo".
He said to himself confused, "i'm not use to hanging out with girls my age, but with Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle...it feels right for some reason".
He shrugged it off and got out of bed, he walked downstairs, "morning Twilight", he said with a smile.
"Morning Spike, i made you a daisy sandwich", she said levitating the plate on the table.
"Thanks Twi", he said before eating.
When he was done, he frowned and looked down, "i'm sorry Twilight, for missing out on my flight lessons".
Twilight hugged him with a smile, "it's ok Spike, i understand you wanted to spend some time with Scootaloo", she smirked, "so...how was yesterday".
He smiled, "it was great Twi, me and Scootaloo learned how to fly, we went to Sugercube Corner and shared a milkshake, we watched the sunset...and i think we fell asleep on a cloud".
Twilight giggled, "hmm...sounds like a date to me".
Spike blushed, "it wasn't a date Twi, we just hung out....sure she kissed my cheek and thanked me for helping her fly and spending time with her....but still".
Twilight grinned, "so...she kissed you".
Spike nodded, "yeah, Apple Bloom did too, after defending her from Diamond Tiara and spending time with her....but they were just thanking me".
Twilight giggled at how clueless he was, "you have no idea, do you", she said with a grin.
Twilight decided to ask, "Spike...how do you feel about them..do you like them?"
"Of course i like them Twi", he shrugged, "anyways, i gonna go to Rarity's to see if Sweetie Belle wants to hang out with me", he walked away and out the Castle.
Twilight giggled again, "Spike...your falling in love, and don't even know it".
With Spike walking to Rarity's, he said to himself, "where should i take Sweetie Belle", he shrugged, "I'll ask her later".
When he got to the boutique, he saw the sigh that said WE ARE OPEN, he walked in and heard a little bell ring, he looked around at all the ponyquins with different dresses, "why does this place look familiar".
He got visions of him when he was a dragon, helping Rarity and talking with Sweetie Belle.
"Oh yeah, i use to help Rarity...now i remember".
He heard Rarity, "hello and welcome to-Spike?"
He turned around, "hi Rarity, is Sweetie Belle here", he asked.
"She is, let me just call her", she walked to the steps, "Sweetie Belle darling, Spike is here to see you", she called up the stairs.
Sweetie Belle came down, Spike saw her and asked, "hi Sweetie Belle, i was wondering if you like to hang out with me today?"
Sweetie Belle blushed as Rarity giggled, "you mean like a d-date" she asked.
Spike shrugged, "something like that".
Sweetie Belle smiled, "i like to hang out with you Spike".
They were gonna walk out when Rarity called, "Sweetie Belle, when you get back, tell me everything", she grinned.
They were walking through the streets of Ponyville, when Spike asked, "so Sweetie Belle...were do you wanna go today?"
Sweetie Belle shrugged, "i ate already so...maybe we can just go for a walk".
"Sounds nice", he said with a smile that made her blush.
They walked side by side, fillies looked on in jealousy, "her too...how come i don't get to hang out with that cute colt" one wined.
A colt with a brown mane and a propeller hat watched in envy, "so..he thinks he can take my Sweetie Belle away huh", he turned and ran to prepare his plan.
They walked for awhile, untill they heard someone, "hey you...you think you can take away my Sweetie Belle".
They turned around and Sweetie Belle groaned, "Button i told you, i don't like you".
Spike asked, "who is that Sweetie Belle?"
She glared a the brown colt, "thats Button Mash, he thinks I'm his fillyfriend, but he doesn't know how to take no for an answer", she said through grit teeth.
"Sweetie Belle, go out with me..i won't take no for an answer", Button said grabbing Sweetie Belles hoof.
Sweetie Belle pulled her hoof away, and got closer to Spike, "Button, im already out with somepony".
They walked away, as Button glared at Spike, "game on".
Diamond Tiara walked up to him with a smile, "i got a plan to break them up..you can get Sweetie Belle...and i can have Spike, win, win".
Button smirked, "tell me the plan", Diamond Tiara smirked and whispered the plan in his ear.
Spike and Sweetie Belle were walking on the apple farm, "how about we go sit on top of that hill", Sweetie Belle said, pointing to the said hill.
Spike nodded as they walked up the hill, when they got to the top, they saw there was a beautiful view of Ponyville.
They sat down on the grass and looked down at Ponyville, Sweetie Belle heard somepony call her, "Sweetie Belle, i came for your love", she groaned and turned around, there she saw Button with Diamond Tiara smirking.
Diamond smirked, "Spike, how about you ditch the blank flank and hang out with a cute filly like me", she said batting her eye lashes at him.
Sweetie Belle glared at them, "leave Diamond, and Button...i dont like you, ok".
Spike stared at Diamond Tiara, "i aint gonna lie Diamond, you are cute and beautiful....but you are more rotton then an apple left out in the sun".
Diamond glared at him, "why do you like hanging out with an ugly filly like her, she has no talent, she is a nopony".
Spike looked at Sweetie Belle and saw she had tears in her eyes, he glared at Diamond, "i like hanging out with her because she is my friend, and she is more beautiful than you will ever be, inside and out, now both of you leave us alone".
When they took off, Spike asked in concern, "hey, are you ok?"
Sweetie Belle wrapped her hooves around him and cried, Spike got flash backs of him and Sweetie Belle alone together, when ever she was crying, Spike comfort her by saying things like "you are a somepony" or "you are not ugly".
He started to remember all those times Diamond Tiara said things to her like "a colt will never like a ugly filly like you".
Spike hugged her and let her cry, "it's ok Sweetie, your not ugly", he said patting her back.
Spike thought of something, then he started to sing to her.

Sweetie Belle dryed her eyes with a smile, "thank you Spike".
Spike smiled at her, "remember Sweetie Belle, you not ugly, you and the rest of the crusaders are beautiful, don't let anypony tell you your not".
Sweetie Belle blushed and nuzzled him, he nuzzled back as they watched the sunset together.
From behind a tree, Button looked down, "she wants him", he said walking away.
After awhile, Spike walked her home, "thank you Spike", she kissed his cheek, "for everything", she said before walking inside.
Spike walked home with a smile, "i feel weird...like butterflies in my stomach", he shrugged, "meh...im probably just hungry", he said walking home with a big smile.
