"Hey are you ok?" asked Amber
"Be careful Amber you don't know what that thing is capable of doing," said Symon in a serious tone.
"Yeah as if it's gonna drive it's horn into my heart," Amber sarcastically replied rolling her eyes.
Twilight moaned as she slowly opened her eyes to find two figures standing over her. "Where am I?" she asked
"Your in the Dimensional research lab," answered Amber.
When Twilight's vision focused on two humans she immediately threw herself into panic mode. She shot up from her bed breathing heavy. "What in Equestria?" she asked. Looking around she found herself in a room with nothing more than two beds, one of which she was lying in, with nightstands and a window to look out of.
"Great your awake," said Amber smiling.
Twilight turned towards Amber and jumped out of bed pointing her horn at her. "Who are you why have you brought me here and where are my friends?" Twilight growled.
Amber put her hands up to show she was innocent, "Whoa calm down I'm going to hurt you," she said.
"Then again we weren't planning to hurt you," added Symon.
Twilight pressed her horn towards Amber's chest and hissed, "I don't care whether you were going to hurt me or not just answer my questions!"
"Ok, ok," said Amber. Twilight slowly moved away from Amber so she could explain herself. "I'm Amber," "And that's my boyfriend Symon," said Amber pointing to Symon.
"Ok hi hello now why did you bring me here?" asked Twilight.
"We didn't bring you here," answered Amber with a confused look. "You just suddenly fell down from the wormhole with along with a dragon," answered Amber.
Twilight's eyes widened as she jumped on Amber, "DRAGON WHAT DID IT LOOK LIKE!?"
"Well it was small and purple with green scales," answered Amber.
"AND WHERE IS HE RIGHT NOW!?" asked Twilight.
"Relax he's fine he's with Professor Burnett getting some food," answered Symon. "He seemed real hungry," added Symon.
Suddenly the door opened and a women in her middle twenties or thirties walked in along with the dragon Amber described.
"SPIKE!!" Twilight called out.
"Oh hey Twilight your awake," responded the dragon.
Twilight ran to him and gave him a big hug, "I was so worried about you," said Twilight crying.
"Relax Twilight I'm fine," said Spike. "After all these humans were kind enough to help us out," said Spike.
"I'm glad your safe," whimpered Twilight. She turned towards Amber and Symon and lowered her head, "Sorry for trying to kill you just now," "I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that," said Twilight apologizing.
"It's fine," said Amber.
Smiling Twilight put out her hoof to introduce herself, I'm Twilight Sparkle," "And this is my cute assistant Spike," said Twilight pointing to the dragon.
"Nice to meet you both," said Amber smiling.
"So Professor Burnett did you find out anything more about the wormholes?" asked Symon.
The women smiled and answered, "No but I know that Aether Paradise had nothing to do with it,"
"Well that's a relief," said Amber wiping her forehead.
"Aether Paradise?" asked Spike.
"Oh right I guess we should explain," said Amber. "You see our world is inhabited by mysterious creatures called Pokemon. Pokemon come in many different shapes, sizes, types, and there are over 400 different species of Pokemon. answered Amber. "In our world Pokemon are like partners or pets to us," explained Amber. "They go into battles with other Pokemon to get stronger so they can protect us," said Amber. "In exchange we humans do our best to care for them and support them in battles," answered Amber.
"Cool," said Spike.
"In addition Pokemon are special creatures with different types in their genes such as Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Dark, Ghost and so much more," added Symon. "Each type of Pokemon are strong against certain Pokemon while other times they might be weak against them, and occasionally there would be times where their types won't even affect the opposing Pokemon at all," said Symon.
"Fascinating," said Twilight.
"Speaking of which shouldn't you guys be heading over to Olivia's for your grand trial?" asked Burnett.
Symon and Amber froze realizing that they probably missed their meeting with the island kahuna.
"Dammit we completely forgot," said Amber. "Quick Rotom what time is it?" asked Amber.
Suddenly a small red square like object with a curve at the top flew out of Amber's bag. The thing had a point at the top of the curved section of the square and had arms on the side, small feet on the bottom, and eyes on the center right above a small screen. "It is 12:40," said Rotom.
"Did that thing just speak!?" asked Spike.
"Yes," answered Amber. "His name is Rotom and he helps us gather information about certain Pokemon and pin points the destination we need to go to," added Amber.
"What kind of magic is this?" asked Twilight.
"It's not magic it's technology," replied Symon.
"Well it was nice knowing you Professor Burnett but we need to go now," said Amber grabbing her bag.
"Same here good luck on your grand trial," said Burnett.
"Thanks," said Amber. "Come on Symon let's go!" Amber called.
"Ok, ok I'm coming," said Symon grabbing his bag.
"Wait what about us?" asked Twilight.
"Well your looking for your friends right so I think you should just stay here," said Amber.
"But we want to go with you," said Spike.
"Yeah I agree with Spike on this one," said Twilight. "To be honest I don't think there's much to do in here," said Twilight. "And plus I want to learn more about Pokemon," said Twilight.
Amber and Symon both looked at Burnett who smiled and nodded telling the two that she doesn't mind.
"Alright but stay close to us and don't go wandering off on your own said Symon,"
"Yay!" said Spike.
"Alright let's go said Amber walking out the door. "Thanks for Everything Burnett!" Amber called out.
"No problem come visit me anytime," Burnett called back.
Burnett watched as Amber and Symon headed off towards Diglett's Tunnel followed by Spike and Twilight talking about Alola and the Island Challenge. "Such sweet kids," said Burnett as she walked back into the lab.
Symon and Amber both stopped by the Pokemon Center to heal their Pokemon, buy potions and other merchandise from the shop, and buy some drinks for Twilight and Spike before making their way to Diglett's tunnel. As they entered they explained to Twilight and Spike about Alola and its traditions while battling a bunch of Digletts and showing Twilight and Spike how Pokemon battles work. When they came close to the exit they healed up their Pokemon before moving on.
"So now you know how Pokemon battles work let me tell you about type advantages," said Amber.
"Well, well, well what do we have here," said a voice.
"What?" asked Amber. "Who's there?" asked Amber.
Suddenly two figures wearing dark blue robes walked out from behind a giant boulder near the exit.
"Hello there friends," said the figure on the left.
"Um hi can we help you with something?" asked Amber.
"Yes as a matter of fact you can," said the figure to the left. "I hope it wouldn't be too much trouble to do us a favor and hand over that pony and dragon to us," said the figure to the right.
"What why?" asked Amber.
"That's none of your concerns," said the figure to the left.
"Amber Symon we don't know those two," whispered Twilight.
"Uh well um we're kind of in a hurry right now um see ya," said Amber attempting to run past the figure on the left. Suddenly the figure threw his arm forward grabbing and lifting Amber by the neck.
"Amber!" Twilight called out.
"Sorry young lady but your not going anywhere until you hand over that pony and dragon," said the figure throwing her back towards Symon and Twilight.
"Amber are you alright?" asked Symon running towards her.
Amber put her hands over her neck and let out a couple of coughs, "Yeah I'm fine,"
Symon looked up and glared at the two figures, "You will regret doing that," Symon pulled out a Poke ball from his bag and threw it. The ball opened and white light popped out to summon a creature taking the form of a giant green dragonfly. The creature had red spots running down its body with three black legs on each side and glowing red eyes.
"Heh well if that's the way it's gonna be," said the figure to the left pulling out his own Poke ball. "We'll show you how serious Team Cosmos can get," Cosmo Grunt A threw his Poke ball releasing a creature with a black coat with yellow rings on it's legs ears and tails, and glowing red eyes. Cosmo Grunt B threw his Poke ball to call out a creature with white fur, blue skin, red eyes, and a big sword like attribute attached to the side of it's head.
Amber got to her feet and threw her own Poke ball calling out a creature with a white coat, blue eyes, and ribbon like feelers flowing at it's side.
"Heh a Yanmega and Sylveon huh?" said Grunt A. "Well let's see how well they can handle my Umbreon and B's Absol," said Grunt A. Smirking he pointed a finger towards Amber's Sylveon and said, "Umbreon use Dark Pulse!" Umbreon jumped up and launched a blast of dark aura.
"Sylveon dodge it!" yelled Amber. Sylveon obeyed and jumped over to the side.
Grunt B smirked, "Just give up you won't stand a chance,"
"Or are they?" whispered a voice.
"What?" asked Grunt B.
Suddenly the two grunts put on shocked faces as they collapsed on the ground. Standing behind the two was a women with short black hair with different types of jewelry hanging off of different parts of her clothing.
"Kahuna Olivia!" Amber called out.
"You guys over here follow me!" said Olivia.
The four didn't need to be told twice as they ran after Olivia leaving behind the Umbreon and Absol with their unconscious trainers.
