"Well I hope you have a nice time, do tell me if your father is still in his prime." Twi smiled at her, she also told Zecora about her father. 
"I will tell you I promise, come on Spike let's go home and pack." Once they were back home they started packing, "Just pack what you need." 
"You're one to talk with that trunk full of junk." 
Twi looked at the trunk, "These aren't junk Spike, these are my treasures I collected each time I had an adventure with my friends."

Spike also looked at the trunk but Twi closed it before he could see what was inside, "Come on what's in the trunk." 
"Sorry but you have to wait until we are at our mother's house to see what they are." She locked the trunk so Spike couldn't open it when she wasn't looking, "And don't even bother trying to burn the lock off, I put a spell on it that will protect it from even a full dragon's fire breath." Spike tried his fire anyways and huffed when it didn't work. "I told you so."

Once they were finished they had dinner then went to bed, the next morning Twi and Spike were at the station and their friends were there to see them off, "This is your have a nice trip party!" 
"We will miss you, darling." 
"If anything awesome happens we'll be sure to tell you." 
"Have a nice trip... I hope you have a nice trip." 
"And I packed some treats I made for ya." 
"I will miss you, girls, too but I'm only going to be gone for a few days." Twi hugged each of them, then the train came in.

"Goodbye everypony." 
"Goodbye Twi." Twi and Spike went on the train, she handed over the tickets and waved goodbye as the train left, Twi munched on some apple treats as Spike read one of the comic books he bought for the trip. When they finally arrived in Canterlot Spike finished his last comic and Twi finished the last treat, "We're here." 
They left the train and they spotted Violet, "Mom!" They ran towards her. 
"Spike, Amethyst, it's been too long since I last seen you two."

She happily hugged them when they reached her, "Spike you have grown so much, and Amy did you grow in new scales?" 
"Kind of, I'll explain everything once we are inside." They all walked to her house which was located on the mountain side, the house looked normal on the outside and inside except for the stone furniture which unlike wood could hold the weight of medium sized dragons, and deeper inside the house you will find a cave dug in the mountain where Violet keeps her treasure and sleeps.

Twi brought over her trunk, she unlocked and opened it, "These are my treasures I collected on my adventures with my friends, each one comes with a story and yes one explains my new scales." They all sat at the table, "This is a piece of the castle of the two sisters, where we found the elements of harmony and where they first became my friends." 
"Hey I remember that story, that's when you stopped Nightmare Moon's plan of stopping the sun rise and making the night last forever.

You also used the elements of harmony to change her back into Princess Luna, reunited her with Princess Celestia, and brought peace back to the world, and of course, your friends helped with all of that as well." 
"Amy did you and your friends really do that?" 
"Yes, mother." 
"Well I'm proud of you, and your friends as well, so what's next?" 
"This is a bone from an animal I ate the time my friends fought over my extra ticket to the gala." 
"I remember that day...

I still don't understand why Princess Celestia didn't send you seven tickets in the first place, she knows full well you have five friends and me who might have wanted to go to the gala." 
"Maybe it was some sort of test? Anyways this apple is from the time AJ learned not be so stubborn, I put a spell on it to keep it fresh." 
"Oh I remember that day, I finally got the recipe for those yummy muffins AJ and Pinkie made." 
"Spike they weren't yummy, they were gross and I'm not going to allow you to make them."

"Too late I already did when you were busy that one day." 
"No wonder the kitchen smelt funny..." 
Violet choose to stop them before they started to fight, "What's this?" 
"This is confetti from a party for Gilda the griffon, Dash's old Junior Speedster Flight camp friend." 
"Oh I remember her, she was very rude and mean, I'm glad she and Dash aren't friends anymore." 
"Spike that's not very nice to say, but I am kind of glad as well, she wasn't the best hybrid I meet even if she was the only one I meet."

Twi pointed to her next treasure, "This is a piece of Trixie's cart from the time she came to Ponyville." 
"She was to show busty, and self-centered for my taste, even if she was a performer." 
"I have to agree on that part, this gold coin is from the time I saw Crimson." 
"You saw my father and your grandfather?" 
"Yes she did, and I'm still upset that I missed him... wait how did you get that gold coin?" 
"Crimson left one behind when he left, and he allowed me to keep it since it was just one gold coin.

This cucumber is from my first slumber party... it wasn't the best party but it was interesting." 
"This seashell must be from the beach party we had a few days later." 
"That's right Spike, and this scale is from the time my friends and I meet Zecora and I found about poison joke." 
"Poison joke?" 
"Trust me you don't want to touch that blue flower, I tried to figure them out but all I could gather is that they turn what you love the most into something you won't love." 

"It made everyone hilarious we had, Hairity, Rainbow Crash, Spitty Pie, Apple Teeny, Flutterguy, and Twilight ponkle." 
"It wasn't funny Spike, everyone else didn't find it funny, and I didn't like being a pony with useless hooves, heck I couldn't even walk right before I got the hang of it." 
"Poison joke turned you into a pony?!" 
"Don't worry as you can see I'm cured and back to my normal self, finally this mini instrument was from the time Pinkie helped me with the parasprite problem."

"You figured out how to get rid of parasprites, my husmate and your father will be pleased to find out about this... oh right he..." 
"It's alright mom, I know you don't like to dwell on the fact father isn't in his right mind at the moment." 
Violet hugged them both, "Let's think about happier things shall we, like a visit to meet new family members?" 
As expected Twi jumped in joy, "I finally get to meet my cousin Shining Armor and his parents!" 
"Absolutely, we are going to meet them for lunch today."

"Oh I'm so excited, and a bit nervous... what if they don't like me? Or find me strange? Or get scared at us? Or..." 
"Amethyst!" 
Twi snapped out of it, "Sorry mother I couldn't help it." 
"I swear you get your panic state from your father's side of the family, everything will be fine, once they get to know you they will love you." 
"How do you know that?" 
"Your friends love you, isn't that proof enough?" 
Twi took a deep breath, "Yes it is, if my friends can accept me, my family can accept me."

Violet gave Twi a kiss, "That's my girl, now go clean up our lunch date is coming up soon." The two ran off as Violet took deep breaths, "But they will probably have the same first reaction to seeing a dragon..." 
Once they were done cleaning they walked to the restaurant, the waiter, of course, was a bit shocked at seeing Violet, "Welcome miss to nature and you, a restaurant where you can sit outside but still enjoy the comforts of being inside, do you have a reservation?"

Violet was impressed he didn't stutter once, "Actually we are meeting Twilight Velvet and her family here." 
"Ah, that explains her odd requests, a large table, four pony chairs and two other chairs, be sure to stock on gems and meat, and make sure the table isn't in the middle of the restaurant." 
Twi chuckled, "Well normal pony chairs can't support the weight of my mother or myself, but they can support Spike's weight, he is still a baby dragon and my little brother." Twi said rubbing his head.

"Well come with me, I'll show you to your table." He lead them to a corner table, Twi and Violet sat on cushions they placed instead of chairs, they didn't have to wait long when they spotted three unicorns coming to their table. "Hello, you must be Bookworm's sister Twilight Velvet. I must admit you don't look related to him..." Violet looked at the light gray unicorn with three blue stars cutie mark, and purple and light gray streaked mane and tail, the only similarity they shared was having blue eyes.

Velvet chuckled, "We get that a lot." 
Violet looked at the light blue unicorn with a large yellow crescent moon and smaller white crescent moon inside for a cutie mark, a dark blue mane and tail, and amber eyes. "You must be Night Light." Then she looked at the next unicorn, he had his mother's blue eyes and light gray coat but his hooves were blue, a blue mane and tail like his father but they had light and dark blue streaks, his cutie mark was a pink six-pointed star on a purple shield with three small light blue stars above. 

"And you must be Shining Armor." She thought of her husmate's cutie mark, a brown book with a large purple star on the cover and a worm under it, what was with the similar cutie marks to her daughter? 
"That's us who are you?" 
"My name is Violet, this is Spike, and my daughter Twilight Amethyst Sparkle." 
"That's quite the mouthful and Bookworm named her after me." 
"Not really, he named her after the time he fell in love with me and yes it is a mouthful." The waiter gave them menus.

Velvet took it with a pink aura, Light took it with a light blue aura, Armor took it with a light rose aura, and Twi took it with a magenta aura, and Violet and Spike simply used their claws to take the menus. "It seems we have a different menu to yours." Twi said noticing the different colors. 
"Well, you eat different foods." 
"Speaking of food you do realize what we are going to eat in front of you right?" 
All three unicorns cringed, "We understand you need to eat meat and gems."

"My brother wrote to us and told us everything, but when he first told me he married a dragon, well I thought he was telling me a story like he did when he was young. But then he told me he had an egg with you, I was like an egg? How did that work? I mean a dragon is way bigger than a pony, he then told me how you can change your size, I see that's true with how small you are compared to a normal full grown dragon." 
"But even if you can change your size I still don't understand how you had..."

"Well neither do I, in all honesty, my Amethyst is a true miracle, that's her dragon name and seeing as there is another Twilight sitting at this table I think I can save us all time if I call her by that name." 
"Too true, so Amy what was it like growing up?" 
"My kin..." 
"I'm sorry your what?" 
"It's a dragon term, it's what we call each other even if we aren't related, anyways my kin were very nice to me, even if I was different they still accepted me and we had lots of fun playing together."

"I thought dragons were..." 
"Solitary beasts? Yeah, we get that a lot as well, they aren't some just like their space and like the peace and quiet, but a whole bunch of dragons live in the area called the dragon's lair." 
"You have a cutie mark, I didn't know..." 
"Pony hybrids can get one? My mother and I didn't know that either until it happened." 
"It's on the same place other cutie marks are, wait don't dragons shed their scales?" 
"Dragons do shed their scales." 
"So what happens when you shed your scales?" 

"Oh well under my scales is skin, my skin is the same color as my scales and as my scales grow back they are the same color as the skin it grows on, that includes my cutie mark which is also on my skin." 
"Does it hurt when they fall off and grow back?" 
"As much as teeth falling out and growing back." 
They all winced, "And you go through this all your life?" 
"Yep, each year when I grow up until I reach my adult years." 
"Wait, what happens after you reach your adult years?"

Twi winced as they ordered their meal, "I don't like to talk about it..." 
"Well that's fine, you don't have to if you don't want to." Velvet and her family ordered as well, "Well since you shared some history with us we will as well." The lunch continued and they talked as their food came, they ate and talked after they swallowed having a fun time. "One time I went to get Armor for dinner since he was downstairs playing Ogres & Oubliettes with his friends, I said, 'Armor come up for dinner.'

Then Armor was like, 'But mom I have to beat the castle guard to get a chance to rescue the beautiful princess from the evil wizard, and I got a feeling I'm going to roll good number to do it.'" Twi chuckled, "What happened next?" "He rolled a bad number, lost the battle, and blamed me for interrupting for the next month." 
They all laughed except Armor who was trying to hide a blush, "Mom you didn't have to tell them that..." 
"Well to make it even, one time Amy tried to fly even though she had no wings.

She climbed to the highest ledge over a lava pit, tested the air before jumping off and landing hard in the lava pool, she was sore for months after that stunt, and the thing is after she recovered she wanted to try it again because another welp convinced her that trying to fly will earn her dragons wings for proving her worth, she did this for a solid year to." 
They laughed again, including Twi, "I now know that flinging myself off a cliff won't magically grow dragon wings and no dragon god will grant them to me."

After the meal they walked around Canterlot together, Velvet and Light pointed out some places that either held special memories or they just heard about, Armor also pointed out some places as well. They finally arrived at Canterlot castle though all of them didn't react that much to it, they went to the gardens next door and explored around, they passed by plants and statues of all kinds but one statue caught Twi's eye, making sure everyone else was distracted she ran off to get a closer look.

Once she was far enough away from everyone she slowly approached the statue, she gasped as she read the plate, 'Discord, the draconequus of chaos.' So this was Discord, honestly he looked more like a chimera with all his different animal body parts, but he was classed as a draconequus, which meant he was the only recorded male draconequus in the whole world, and she was the only recorded female, when Twi realized this she blushed looking around glad no one was around to see this.

Twi looked back at the statue, he was frozen 1,000 years ago but apparently he was a lot older than even the princess' possibly even Equestria, but he was the only one of his kind, so how did he come to be? Well since he represents disharmony he's the yang of the world to the yin of the world the elements of harmony, isn't that how the world stays in balance? That for every good thing in the world there must be a bad thing to balance it out, it was a simple concept of yin and yang.

That would also explain why there is only one draconequus, the elements need at least more than one pony to active them but Discord only needs himself to create chaos, and according to a history book the princess used the elements to turn him to stone and brought harmony back. Twi finally went to go join the others but did look back once at the statue, she thought she felt like someone or something was watching her, must have been her imagination...
