After locking Majesty Blueblood away due to her insanity, Amadeus Blueblood decided to summon forth the rest of the Unicornian Royal Knights to man the defenses all over Canterlot, as well as Tirek and his Badlands army to defend the courtyard near the Canterlot Gates. Many of the Unicornian soldiers were wondering what happened to their Queen after realizing that she's nowhere to be seeing. Amadeus convinced the Unicornians that Majesty Blueblood got sick and she gave him the right to command the rest of the Unicornian Army until she recovers, in which was a lie. It didn't take that much for the rest of the traditionalists and the Unicornians to believe in Amadeus' lies. As soon as Amadeus walked up to the balcony of the Canterlot Palace, he is now wearing a full black mantle of heavy Unicornian armor and helmet that bears its national emblem, as well as his Noble Family's emblem, embroidered with light-green linings. He takes a deep breath to make his announcement throughout the entire city.
"All every pony, listen up. Ever since Princess Twilight Sparkle came back from the dead because of Princess Celestia, our entire regime of Unicornia is slowly starting to lose power over Equestria, as well as our vestiges of our alliances with Cicada and those who happened to be traditionalists of Equestria. First, it started off with the incursion within the castle grounds of Canterlot, the raid upon one of the slave caravans, the destruction of the Research Prison Facility at Manehattan, the liberation of the Crystal Empire, and last but not least, the raid upon our concentration camp up north. But not that it matters, as long as we nobles were still in command of Unicornia, I'll assure you all that Twilight and the Lunar Republic will not set hoof in Canterlot ever again. Because we lost control over the rest of the cities outside of Canterlot, there is only one option left. We must rally all remaining forces from the other cities. As soon as all of our forces are gathered around in this city, we'll bolster up all defenses around Canterlot before we face the full might of the Lunar Republic, and hit them hard with everything we've got. GIVE NO QUARTER EVERY PONY, FOR LET IT BE OUR FINAL BATTLE!!! FOR UNICORNIA!!!!"
"FOR UNICORNIA!!!!!" The rest of the traditionalist crowd clamored below Amadeus.
Meanwhile back at the Crystal Empire, the ponies of Ponyville and of Canterlot were rejoicing in each other's hooves as may fillies were reunited with their lost parents. As for Twilight and her friends, they celebrated their reunion with their parents, along with their loved ones at the Crystal Palace Courtyard. During their celebration, Cheese Sandwich also appeared amongst the ponies that were held in Dark-Light's camp, much to Pinkie Pie's happiness. As the two party ponies celebrated, they also fired some fireworks into the clear-blue night sky. As the ponies celebrated, Princess Twilight came up above the balcony of the Crystal Palace before making her announcement.
"All right every pony, I hope you will all enjoy the best from this party that Pinkie Pie honed in the Crystal Empire because tomorrow morning we'll commence our final battle against Amadeus and the Unicornian Army." Twilight spoke in out loud in a royal Canterlot voice. "Only this time, we will not stop until we retake Canterlot and neutralize any threats that stand in our way. When I woke up from my coffin, I thought for sure that I would be able to finish up where I started from. However, after learning about how our entire world nearly tore itself apart, I could not help but notice that we would actually lose our country to a massive army of political insurgents. Nevertheless, I know that most of you ponies still have trouble thinking that my democracy will not be without consequences and that some of you cannot take it for granted. But if you're not satisfied with what I do as your Princess, then can we at least try to be more confident in making civil agreements and disagreements over changes in Equestria without judging every single one of them as if it was a big deal?"
"Yes, my Princess. We're all sorry for doubting you, your highness." One of the Crystal Ponies said below Twilight. "We didn't really think that the Bluebloods would actually trick us into believing that they're the heroes of Equestria.
"Lead us on, my lady." Another Crystal Pony spoke in a positive tone of voice. "We must avenge all of those who fell prey to the Unicornians and the Bluebloods."
"TWILIGHT!! TWILIGHT!!! TWILIGHT!!!" The Crystal Ponies and the Canterlot Ponies shouted.
"I was hoping you would say that. Ever since I heard that Unicornia have conquered Equestria during the time that I was gone, this is what I learned so far." Twilight Sparkle spoke to the crowd. "The Unicornians have sent us a message that they can take whatever they want and that no pony will stop them. But we will send them a message. You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you. You tell your other friends to come and tell them that Princess Twilight Sparkle calls to them. You fly now with me, my brothers, my sisters. And we show the Unicornians, THAT THEY CANNOT TAKE WHATEVER THEY WANT. AND THAT THIS, THIS IS OUR LAND!!!!"
Upon hearing Twilight making her speech in a royal Canterlot voice, every pony cheered for her as they all scampered and prepare for the final battle that will shake all of Equestria in a cataclysm event forever. As for the Mane 5, the three unicorns, and the two pegasus, they all headed down to the Crystal Armory to gear up for the final battle at Canterlot. All of Twilight's friends are now wearing crystal armor bearing emblems and colors to that of their natural fur coats and their cutie marks. As for Twilight, Princess Celestia gave her a full suit of Royal Alicorn armor with a regal cape, including a roman praetorian helmet to wear for the final battle. Twilight's suit of armor and helmet had a solid color of purple, with red and blue linings, and bears the Equestrian Emblem and her cutie mark on her breastplate and helmet. After Twilight put on her Royal Alicorn armor and helmet on, she went downstairs, leading outside of the Crystal Palace, to met up with her friends. After all of Twilight's friends, her brother, Crimson, and her coltfriend geared up for the final battle of Equestria, she and the Mane 5 decided to make amends to all of their parents first.
The moment Twilight Sparkle and Shinning Armor met up with their parents, along with Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence, Celestia comforts Twilight Sparkle once more before saying anything.
"Twilight, please be careful out there." Princess Celestia said in a worried tone. "It's our understanding that you have a score to settle with Amadeus from the start but try not to get too crazy if you see him again."
"I'll do my best, Princess." Twilight said to the sun alicorn while being embraced in her hooves.
"Just remember everything that I taught you, Twilight." Princess Luna spoke to the purple alicorn. "And don't let your guard down. I know Amadeus from the very beginning; it's not just his jealously or his son's jealously that makes the Bluebloods a potential threat to us, it was Amadeus' cunning and manipulation allows him to force every pony in be kept in line, including his family. When we first faced Majesty Blueblood in battle, during the civil war years ago, she refused to listen to us thinking that our intent of sharing power to ponies like you is not acceptable. Of course, we can't blame you for making it this far to end up becoming one of us royal alicorns, Twilight. I guess it's now time for you to show Amadeus and Majesty that Equestria is not theirs for the taking, just don't let your guard down. We still don't know what he'll throw at us, since Professor Felhand is still developing weapons for the Unicornian Army."
"Twilight, dearie. We all understand that your story may not have a happy beginning, but it doesn't make you who you are. It is the rest of your story, of what you choose to be." Twilight Velvet as she hugged her daughter in her hooves. "So, no matter what happens out there, we'll always fight for you to the bitter end because we all love you."
"Thanks, mom." Twilight said as she smiled at Twilight Velvet during her embrace before her mother lets go of her.
"And you've got nothing to worry about, Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle." Flash Sentry appeared behind them. "I'll make sure your daughter will stay alive to see the dawn of a new order that will save Equestria from its pandemonium."
The moment Twilight, Shinning, and their parents turned around, they see Flash Sentry now wearing a full set of golden armor, bearing the emblem of a purple star and a yellow sun, symbolizing his loyalty towards Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight, with orange and blue embroideries.
"We're all really impressed the way you were able to help Twilight carry out her royal duties without fear or hesitation." Shinning Armor said congratulating the orange pegasus as he lower his sword on top of his head, as if he was dubbing a squire that completed his training and promoted him into a true knight. "And from this day forth, Flash Sentry, you are hear by dubbed thee the first of Equestria's Royal Knights and Lt. of Princess Celestia's solar guard. This is also my way of showing not just my gratitude, but also my apologizes for not trusting you."
"I accept your apology, my prince." Flash said as he bowed down to his Guard Captain, impressed with his promotion. "If only Gallant Heart was able to do otherwise, instead of being forced to do something that he wasn't proud of, I'm sure he would being lying in his grave, as we speak."
"Don't give it another thought Lt. Flash." Shinning Armor said in a calm voice. "I already gave his word to look out for his brother Gladius."
"BBBFF, Flash, its time to go." Twilight Sparkle said to both of the stallions.
"One more thing, Twilight." Princess Luna said to the purple alicorn. "As soon as you leave the Crystal Empire to reclaim Canterlot, you will be leading the rest of our forces against Unicornia. We'll wish you luck out there and just do your best."
"Thanks, Princess Luna." Twilight said as she smiled at the dark-blue alicorn before flying away with Flash Sentry to the main entrance of the Crystal Empire, with Shinning Armor following them on foot.
As for Rainbow Dash's parents, Bow Hoothoof and Windy Whistles came up to their pegasus daughter and embraced her in their hooves.
"Oh, my dear Rainbow. We all thought we would never see you again." Bow Hothoof told Rainbow while he let tears come out of his eyes.
"I know, dad. I missed you so much. The same thing goes for you, mother." Rainbow Dash said to her parents in a sympathetic tone. "If only I had the chance to find a way to make it up to my former Wonderbolt members."
"Actually, Rainbow. We still felt pretty bad not being able to seeing you again in the Wonderbolts." Spitfire said as she appeared behind Rainbow Dash. She and her Wonderbolt members are all dressed up in their Wonderbolt jumpsuits, armed with swords, spears, and shields made of fine crystal steel.
"What do mean?" Rainbow Dash asked her former team leader. "Even if you guys accepted my apology, it won't really help me get rehired into the Wonderbolts."
"Well, that's were you're wrong, Mrs. Dash." Spitfire protested. "Me and Soarin had a little chat from yesterday and we decided to let you back into the Wonderbolts after we reclaim Canterlot."
"WHAT? REALLY??" Rainbow Dash said in total excitement.
"Yes, but only on one condition." Spitfire said. "You have to go back to basic training at the Wonderbolts Academy first, but we will guarantee that your retraining will not take more than a month and that you must swear to us not to get drunk again because the moment your retraining is complete, we'll put you on probation for 2 to 3 years. Are you okay, with all that?"
"Yes, I am." Rainbow Dash said in a positive tone. "In fact, I'll do anything for you and Soarin."
"Then it is settled. But first, you must stay alive during the time we retake Canterlot. That will be the first order I will give you." Spitfire said.
"Yes, ma'am!!" Rainbow Dash said as she saluted Spitfire before her drill sergeant moved on.
"Soarin, did you really do this for me?" Rainbow Dash asked her colt-friend the moment she turned around to face him.
"Yes, I did because I love you Rainbow Dash." Soarin said as he confessed his love towards the female light-blue pegasus.
The moment Spitfire disappeared, Rainbow's eyes widen with total excitement and happiness, followed by a blush on her face. The next thing Bow and Windy saw from Rainbow was flying up in the air out of excitement.
"OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!!!" Rainbow Dash shouted out loud in a total cheering voice. "THIS IS GOING TO BE THE MOST AWESOME DAY OF MY LIIIIIIIIIIIFE!!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, SOARIN!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!"
"Heheheheheheh." Bow Hothoof snickered to himself. "I knew our daughter will never be happy any other way."
Rainbow Dash flew straight at Soarin in a flash and hugged her coltfriend in an instant. Despite being hugged by Rainbow in a tight grip, Soarin could not help but smile at her as he hugged Rainbow back.
"It was nothing, my dear." Soarin said to his marefriend. "Just don't get too carried away again."
"Soarin, please take care of our daughter for us." Windy Whistles said to the male blue pegasus.
"You know I will, Mrs. Whistles." Soarin said to Rainbow's mother.
After Rainbow Dash and Soarin took off flying into the clear blue sky, Bow and Windy were both happy to see their beloved daughter Rainbow Dash get her high hopes and her spirit back.
Meanwhile, after Fluttershy makes her amends with her parents, she decided to go with Discord before heading out to the main gate but not before Zephyr Breeze steps in.
"Say, Fluttershy. How do you think you're going to deal with those heartless ruffians?" Zephyr asked his sister.
"I can't say for sure." Fluttershy said in a anxious tone of voice. "I may not be much of a fighter like Rainbow Dash and Applejack, but since I came a long way with Twilight and Discord, I can't hold back my vigor and assertiveness any longer. They still need me in the frontline because I was terrified seeing all those poor little animals lose their homes when Unicornia invaded Equestria, as well as seeing Twilight leave this world without us. I still owe Twilight and the rest of the Mane 5 for helping me find my confidence in saving our world from anything that's threatening our friendship dearly. I'll do anything for Twilight and for the animals because I feared that as long as Unicornia remains at large, there's no way that Twilight will continue protecting Equestria with her democratic reforms."
"I see. Well, good luck sis." Zephyr said as hugged Fluttershy with his right hoof before she took off with Discord. "I hope one day, I'll be able to do what Fluttershy could."
After Pinkie Pie said goodbye to her family before heading out into the eve of battle, she ran into Cheese Sandwich, who is bring a cart full of mini cannons, fireworks, and explosives by his side.
"Hey, Pinkie Pie." Cheese Sandwich said to the female pink pony. "You didn't forgot about me, did you?"
"Nope, why?" Pinkie asked in a squeaky voice.
"Because, when I was imprisoned in that camp, I could not help but think that you weren't able to come and save me." Cheese answered Pinkie's question.
"You know I wouldn't." Pinkie protested with her mane flowing down on her coat. "Though, I just had my hooves full on a lot of stuff. Cheese, how do you think we'll be able to protect Twilight from those meanies? Because they already took Twilight away from us 15 years ago. I could not stop myself from crying, thinking that I will won't able to hone any parties for her no more."
"It's alright, Pinkie Pie." Cheese said as he embraced the pink pony his his hooves. "Since your family always believed in Princess Twilight, I'm sure you just have to do your best to make them all proud."
"Thank you, Cheese." Pinkie said as she muzzled her head at Cheese in the check. "From now on, let's do our best to help Twilight win back Equestria. As soon as we drive away those mean nobles, I'll host in a really big party to celebrate our total victory."
After Pinkie Pie kissed Cheese on his check, she made a happy squeal and hopped away towards the main gate of the Crystal Empire.
"Oh, Pinkie, you never cease to amaze me with your happy antics." Cheese muttered to himself with a small smile before moving on.
Meanwhile, after Rarity made her amends with her parents and her sister Sweetie Belle, she grabbed her gear with her magic and moved forward to the main gate. On the way there, Spike appeared before her.
"Spikey-Wikey, are you really sure you want to come with us?" Rarity asked the teenage green dragon.
"Why yes, my sweet." Spike said as he stared at Rarity with hearts in his eyes. "After Marc taught me everything, I was hoping I could use what I learned from him on those horrible ponies, as well as clearing up my mother's dishonored name at Canterlot. Only this, time I will not face Queen Majesty alone. Now that we're all together again, it's time to help restore Equestria's order and force Majesty to step down from the Equestrian throne for good."
"I'm so glad I came for you, my dear sweet dragon." Rarity said as she smiled at Spike. "Ever since I heard that you were imprisoned by the Alicorn Queen, I thought for sure that I will never hold you in my hooves again."
"My thoughts exactly." Spike said in a romantic tone of voice as he held Rarity's hoof with his claw. "If we were able to end this tyranny, will you go out with me?"
"I don't see why not, Spikey-Wikey." Rarity said in a happy mood. "After all, I'll always be there by your side until the end."
"Thank you, sweet." Spike replied as he and the female white unicorn marched forward to the main gate.
Meanwhile, at Sunburst's house, Starlight Glimmer dropped by to see her colt-friend Sunburst one more time before going our into battle once more. Outside the house, Starlight sees Sunburst standing in front of the doorway.
"Starlight, are you sure you want to do this?" Sunburst asked in a worried tone. "We're just slowly making the best of our reunion, yet you want to help Twilight deal with Unicornia?"
"Yes I do, Sunburst." Starlight said. "I don't think we'll ever be safe as long as Unicornia is spreading its darkness all over our land, endlessly. When you were taken away from me by Queen Cicada, I though for sure that I won't be able to offer your hoof in marriage someday. Wait, who am I kidding? You were the only friend that I cherished in all my life. I mean...I-I just..."
Before Starlight could say anything, Sunburst held her in his hooves. After being embraced by the yellow male unicorn, Starlight started blushing red, leaving behind a smile on her face.
"It's alright, my dear." Sunburst said sympathizing Starlight Glimmer before letting her go. "You still want to be with me, do you? I don't see why not."
"Really?" Starlight said in a gentle voice.
"When I was pressed into Cicada's service, as her butler, I could not stop thinking about you." Sunburst said. "However, when you help Princess Twilight and her friends reclaimed the Crystal Empire, you gave me back my future and my hope to be with you. I'm grateful that you took out that wretched Changeling Queen and for that, I want you to have this."
Before Starlight could say anything, Sunburst used his magic to bring out an bright orange locket. Inside the locket is a small picture of Starlight and Sunburst embracing each other in their hooves, while staring into the night sky. Upon, seeing this, Starlight started crying in tears of happiness. After Starlight used her magic to take the locket and put in on her neck, she kissed Sunburst on the cheek.
"Thank you, Sunburst." Starlight said while letting tears fall out of her eyes while smiling at her colt-friend. "I'm not worthy."
"It was nothing, my darling." Sunburst said as he kissed Starlight back. "Now, you go teach those bastards not to defile the magic of friendship."
"You got it, Sunburst." Starlight said as she galloped away with Trixie to proceed to the main gate for the final battle.
As for Applejack, after she told Granny Smith, Big Mac, and Applebloom about Crimson's true colors, they all started at the farm pony under a state of shock.
"No way!?! Are ya saying that Crimson fella had a family of his own in which he failed to protect when those rotten rats invaded Equestria?" Granny Smith asked in shock. "And that he got pressed into that wretched traditionalist army for the sake of his family?"
"Ya heard me, Granny." Applejack said in a calm voice. "Me and ma friends got so worked up in kicking his flank that we had no idea that they would end up doing to Crimson what they did to that Gallant Heart fella. Anyway, I still owe him for misjudging him of his true nature."
"Is that true, Bella?" Apple Bloom asked the filly who was right next to Bright Song, on her left.
"Yes, it's true." Bella Harp replied to Applejack's little sister. "When our home was under attack by Unicornia, I was so terrified about what is going to happen to us. You had no idea. And when they took our father away from us, we thought for sure that we will never see him again."
"Anyway, I still want to make it up to Crimson." Applejack said to the rest of his siblings. "Since we gave him a second chance to make it up for his mistakes, we won't stop him from tearing through the ranks of his former employers."
"Applejack, please be careful." Big Mac said to the farm mare. "We don't want to lose you again."
"Not to worry, Big Mac." Applejack replied to the big red earth pony. "Since Twi is still part of us, I'll make sure she and the rest of our friends stay together and fight together. In fact, ah will not dishonor Twi any further just because of some insensitive, volatile loudmouths. Any pony that wishes to go against Twi will be dealt with immediately, if its the last thing ah would do."
"Good luck, sis." Apple Bloom cheered for her elder sister as she galloped away.
Applejack turned around and waved goodbye to her family before galloping away into the battlefield that is about to unfold before her very eyes.
"Crimson, are ya ready?" Applejack asked she approached the brown earth pony at the main gate.
"Ready, Applejack." Crimson replied as he raised his Sledgehammer over his shoulder. "Let's do this, for our families."
After Applejack nodded her head, she and Crimson marched to the gate, with their weapons by their side, as they met up with the rest of their friends and the armies of the Lunar Republic and the Crystal Empire.
Before Shinning Armor and Flash Sentry were able to make their way through the main entrance, Discord appeared right behind Twilight. Twilight told her brother and her bodyguard to go on ahead and wait for her at the main gate.
"So, Discord, you were saying?" Twilight asked the Draconneques.
"Princess Moonbutt gave me some errands to go over during the time you and your friends attacked Lt. Dark-Light's Concentration Camp." Discord replied. "Despite the Unicornian Queen's tyranny, Moonbutt wanted me to give Majesty Blueblood the journal that records all of your overall background, revolving around your heroism and such. I'm pretty sure that if Majesty reads that journal, there might be a chance that she'll at least try to come to her senses, than rather blindly following her father's cruel footsteps."
"Do you think that will work?" Twilight asked.
"One can only hope, my dear." Discord said. "Because Majesty is still young, she still hasn't learned about anything from you, truthfully. So, we might as well pray that she'll work something out without resorting to any further violence or cruelty."
"And I thought that your magic was used to corrupt other ponies. No offense, though." Twilight said in a sheepish tone.
"None taken, Twilight. Well as far as I can tell, one pony's bad behavior doesn't always come from dark magic; they just took it upon themselves, in a blind fashion." Discord explained to Twilight.
Meanwhile, at the dungeons underneath Canterlot, Majesty was struggling to find a way out of her jail cell. Just when she was about to give up, Majesty noticed that Admiral Thunderball was imprisoned, along with Lord Bronze, in separate jail cells apart from each other.
"Admiral Thunderball? Lord Bronze?" Majesty spoke with her eyes widened. "Why are you both in jail for?"
"Well, your father was setting both of us up." Lord Bronze explained. "I was in my office going over my paperwork, when all of a sudden, I discovered some of Amadeus' documents underneath my desk. After doing some brief reading over it, I found out that Lord Amadeus is going to sell us out as soon as they meet the armies of the Crystal Empire and the Lunar Republic head on. He promised us full support over our families. However, according to one of his documents, it did say that as soon as the armies of the Crystal Empire and the Lunar Republic breach the first level of Canterlot, he'll be sending Professor Felhand and his men to kidnap all of the noble families and their children, including my own, rob our families' treasury and haul it straight to Amadeus' vault, hijack one of the Unicornian ships back at Baltimare, and send them to parts unknown to be experimented on, so that all of Equestria will belong to Amadeus and his family."
"When I looked at the documents Lord Bronze gave me, I knew that your father was up to something that is going to put all of our noble families in danger. So, me, my men, and Lord Bronze attempted to arrest and restrain Professor Felhand and Amadeus for their conspiracy of attempting to perform multiple kidnappings and heist." Admiral Thunderball explained. "Unfortunately, we got ambushed by Felhand's minions. The next thing we saw is that all of my sailors and marines have been butchered up. As for me and Bronze, we were both beaten and taken into custody for attempted terrorism."
"But then that means..." Majesty said in horror.
"I'm afraid Lord Amadeus has taken command of my remaining fleet at Baltimare and made a huge lie in the public, claiming that I have deserted my post from my flagship." Thunderball explained.
"As for me, Lord Amadeus made another lie to the public that I got drunk and is put under house arrest in my office." Bronze explained.
"I never thought that my father would get very far in doing such deceitful atrocity as this?" Majesty said to herself. "Maybe if I at least saw the whole truth about what has become of my family a lot more sooner, then I would've tried to stop my father before he gets worse."
"Well, it's too late for that, my queen." Lord Bronze said. "I heard from one of the jailers that Princess Twilight is leading the rest of the Equestrian Loyalists against Unicornia and that they'll be preparing to attack in 12 hours tops and that Tirek's army will appear as the first wave, along with Professor Felhand himself."
"Dammit, we've got to find a way out of this place and stop this bloodshed before it gets worse." Majesty said to Bronze and Thunderball.
"Not to worry, your highness." Thunderball said as he took out a key from underneath his bloodied coat. "I got this jail key from Amadeus' desk before me and Bronze were arrested due to false charges. But first, as soon as we get out of this wretched dungeon, we must save as many noble families as we can before Felhand and his creations arrive at their homes."
"I understand." Majesty acknowledged.
As soon as Majesty, Bronze, and Thunderball got out of their jail cells, they went through a secret passageway that leads them to an unknown alleyway outside of the Canterlot Palace.
