That evening while Sunburst is out, Sunset snoops around the house and manages to find her mother's old diary. She opens it and begins to read it as she goes over and plops down on the couch. She reads the diary for hours on end.
Meanwhile, Sunburst is out at dinner with Starlight. The two happily order their meals and enjoy them before they go out for a walk along the Crystal River. Once their walk draws to an end, Sunburst pulls out a ring and asks Starlight to marry him, to which she lets out a happy squeal of yes! He then puts the ring on her horn. The two then go to the Crystal Pier and play balloon dart toss for several hours and winning plenty of prizes.
Around 10:00 that night, Sunburst returns home and finds Sunset asleep on the couch, the closed diary at her side. He doesn't say a word and goes off to his reading corner to do some late night reading. He smiles, he'll tell her the good news about him and Starlight in the morning.
