After the big meet up between the two groups, Luna had teleported the combined group to ponyville's sugarcube corner where Will and his friends were treated to some of Pinkie Pie's delicious cupcakes. During which Will had explained to Luna, Twilight, Hazel, Thorax, and even Pinkie about why they were there. Word after word Twilight and her friend's feelings towards the Demogorgon hunt had gone from deep concern to sheer terror. After the explanation the ponies just stared at each other with nervous looks on their face.
"Do you think this Demogorgon thing has something to do with the missing fillies incident thats been going on?" asked Thorax.
"It's possible but then we have to worry about Will and Hazel's nightmares," answered Twilight.
"And that black stallion," added Hazel.
Twilight rubbed her chin with her hoof when she was suddenly interrupted by Pinkie, "Ooh maybe this monster thing is just a pony wearing a costume and they're just playing a joke on us,"
Everyone just stared at her with "really" looks on their faces, "Pinkie that's not a logical explanation," said Twilight.
"Yeah and besides where does the nightmares and black stallion come in?" asks Dustin.
"Oh umm," but Pinkie just sat there scratching her mane.
"At any case we need to right now we need to focus on the Demogorgon the black stallion comes later," said Nancy.
Just then the doors to sugarcube corner opened as Starlight and five other ponies walked in.
"Twilight what are you doing here?" asked Starlight.
"And who are those guys?" asked a blue pegasi with a rainbow mane.
"Oh Starlight I uh didn't know you were coming," said Twilight.
"Well I'm here and brought the others with me," said Starlight.
"Well good timing we're kind of in need of some help," said Twilight.
Starlight smiled and walked in with the five ponies and sat at the table with Twilight and company. Twilight introduced Will and his friends to Starlight and her friends as well as explain the entire situation to her friends.
"So what y'all saying is this monster thing is huntin down fillies and abductin them?" asked the orange pony.
"Yes Applejack thats exactly what I'm saying," answered Twilight.
The blue pegasi pounded her chest and confidently said, "Hah monster or not I'll kick him back to wherever it came from,"
"Rainbow dash I don't think that's a good idea," whimpered a yellow pegasi.
"Fluttershy is right darling," said the white unicorn with a purple mane.
The pegasi named Rainbow dash groaned in disappointment and crossed her arms together, "Well phooey Rarity your just too scared,"
The unicorn named Rarity hissed at her, "I am not!"
"At any rate if what Twilight here is telling us the truth then we-" but Starlight's statement was cut short when the sound of a mare's scream was heard coming from outside.
"What the hell?" asked Lucas. Suddenly without warning the glass from the sugarcube corner's windows exploded sending glass shards flying everywhere.
"Everypony take cover!" screamed Twilight. But Luna was quick to act. She summoned a formed a giant blue barrier around the group to protect them. Once she knew it was safe she lowered the barrier and the group was greeted by the many screams of ponies.
"Damn what's going on?" asked Steve.
"One way to find out," said Luna. She opened the door and walked out followed by the rest of the group.
When outside the group found the a huge crater in the middle of the road along with burning buildings, screaming ponies, and several limp bodies of ponies lying near the crater.
"What the hell!?" asked Mike.
"Whats going on here?" asked Nancy.
"I don't know but I'm scared," said Fluttershy trembling in fear.
As the ponies continued to run around screaming, a couple of them could be heard screaming, "DEMON!!!!"
"TWILIGHT!!!!" a familiar voice called out.
Twilight turned towards the direction of the voice. Her eyes widened to find a small purple dragon running towards her with a creature with mismatched animal parts, a blue mare with streams of light blue and white in her mane, as well as a light blue dragon with dark blue spines protruding from her head.
"Spike!" cried Twilight. Spike jumped into her hoofs as he gave her a hug. "What are you doing here I thought you were in the dragon lands," asked Twilight. "And is that Discord Trixie and Ember with you?" she asked.
"Yeah," answered the dragon named Spike. "The thing is I was hanging out with Ember when I heard a loud screech coming from ponyville so I wanted to come check it out," replied Spike. "That's when I ran into Discord and Trixie," said Spike pointing to the mismatched animal and blue mare.
"What's going on here?" asked the mare named Trixie.
"And who's that with you?" asked Discord pointing to Will and his friends.
"Well it's a long story but-" Twilight's thought was cut off when a mysterious voice spoke up to finish the statement for her.
"That's something you fools won't live to hear,"
The group turned looked up in the direction of the voice.
There flying in the sky was a black stallion. But something was wrong. Although he was there flying in front of the group he seemed as if he wasn't visible almost like a mirage or hallucination. He not only had wings but also a horn indicating that he was an alicorn. The final thing the group noticed was his cutie mark. Although he had one it seemed disordered the mark itself was hard to make out and was completely pixelated and and was out of position as if it was glitched. The stallion flew down and smirked revealing his fangs.
"I finally got you to come out of hiding," said the black stallion.
"You, your the one from our dream," said Will.
"That's right," chuckled the black stallion. "You and Hazel," he smirked.
Although everyone was shocked at the sudden appearance of the black stallion, Luna Calmly took a step forward and glared at the stallion, "It's been years,"
"Definitely," said the black stallion. "And all those years I've suffered so much in the void," said the black stallion.
"Luna you know this stallion?" asked Hazel.
"He used to be one of my best royal guards until he went rogue," growled Luna.
Everyone looked at the stallion in shock.
"That's right and you banished me to the void for my so called crimes," said the black stallion.
"You know what you did was wrong," hissed Luna.
"Hmph all I ever did was take pity on the life you were living," groaned the stallion. "All I ever did was try to help you become better than Celestia and how did you repay me by throwing me down the void," said the stallion. The stallion smirked, "But now I'm back for revenge," "I'll make sure you suffer like I did Luna," hissed the stallion. "As for your friends I'm gonna enjoy taking their souls," laughed the stallion.
Upon hearing this Hazel wrapped her hooves around Will's arm terrified. Luna put a hoof in front of the two to block them and growled, forget it I won't let you lay your dirty hooves on these two,"
The stallion snorted before replying, We'll see about that," He looked at the group and smirked, "As for the rest of I'll show you the true meaning of fear," "Starting from today you will know and remember the name Shadow Virus," said the stallion smiling demonically at the group. He pointed one hoof towards Luna and smirked, "Your first Princess,"
"Try me," cursed Luna.
Shadow Virus didn't need to be told twice, without warning he quickly lunged at Luna with incredible speed. Luna raised her horn just as Shadow Virus clashed with her. The two clashed one another with their horns as if they were swords as they stared each other down in the process.
"What makes you think you can beat me?" asked Shadow Virus. "Time has passed I'm practically as strong as you now," laughed Shadow Virus. "Just give up you don't stand a chance," laughed Shadow Virus.
"SHUT YOUR BUCKING MOUTH!!!!!!" screamed Luna blasting Shadow Virus back with her magic. Filled with anger and rage Luna charged at Shadow Virus with her horn pointed towards his chest. But Shadow Virus knew what was coming and quickly sidestepped off to the side surprising not only the group of humans, ponies, and dragons but also Luna herself. Just as Luna flew past him Shadow Virus slammed his front hooves down on her back and into the ground. With tears rolling down her cheeks and wincing from the pain, Luna attempted to get up only to be forced back down into the ground by Shadow Virus.
"You know princess we were becoming great friends," said Shadow Virus. "But then you decided that Celestia was more important than revenge," groaned Shadow Virus. He turned towards the group and smirked, "Now then for the two," He slowly approached Will and Hazel as they trembled. Luna with her remaining strength grabbed his hind leg.
"Don't you dare," Luna growled weakly.
Shadow Virus groaned, "Ugh your such a pain," He turned his attention towards Luna again and frowned, "Just give up already," He then began levitating her with his magic and said, To keep you from wasting my time I need you stay out of my way,"
"Buck you," cursed Luna.
Shadow Virus scoffed, "Fine I can play like that," He closed his eyes and focused his magic to grow more powerful. Luna winced as she felt her bones being torn apart. Suddenly with a loud crunch she let out a scream of pain as her wings were forcefully twisted in a way that the bones snapped.
"Not done yet," said Shadow Virus. Luna winced as tears rolled down her cheeks as the pain shot up her back. But that wasn't the last of it. Shadow Virus used his magic to spread her legs apart and twist them. The sound of bones snapping followed by the screams of Luna caused the group to cover their eyes and ears to block out the terrible view. Eventually Shadow Virus let her go and watched her drop on the ground. He turned towards Will and Hazel again and smirking, "Now that the nuscience is out of the way," He once again started approaching the two.
Although scared, Starlight gathered up the courage and walked towards Shadow Virus, "I won't let you hurt-" but her statement was cut short after she was flung of to the side by Shadow Virus like a rag doll.
"STARLIGHT!" screamed Twilight. She quickly stepped in front of Will and Hazel to block him, "Don't you think about-" But Twilight's statement was also cut short after Shadow Virus grabbed her by the neck with his magic. He picked her up and levitated her off to the side.
"TWILIGHT!" Will called out. Suddenly Shadow Virus was standing in front of the two smirking.
"Get away from my son you damn monster!" screamed Joyce.
But Shadow Virus blasted the group with a pulse knocking them backwards. He then turned his attention to Hazel and Will and picks them up using his magic. Will and Hazel whimpered as they stared at Shadow Virus's blood red eyes.
"Let.... them....go....." choked Twilight. Ignoring her request Shadow Virus threw Twilight off to the side and turned around still holding the two with his magic. Twilight gasped and coughed while reaching for Hazel and Will. Not paying attention Shadow Virus used his magic to summon an entrance to an unknown world. Before entering he turned around and said, "I've enjoyed playing with you all," He laughed as he entered the portal with Will and Hazel and disappeared into the shadows. Luna reached out in attempts to save the two but she felt the world around her grow dark. The last thing she heard was the cries of Will and Hazel and the sinister laughter of Shadow Virus before everything went black.
