//------------------------------// // Chapter 5 // Story: Equestria Super Powered Pony League // by Creativa-Artly01 //------------------------------// Meanwhile, in another part of Maretropolis, a young super powered pony lies curled up in the cold underneath an old bridge. He uses his heat powers to warm himself, hoping some pony will find him. A few minutes later, he is found by two nonsuperpowered elder ponies named Lily Petal and Lancelot. They take the young pony in and raise them as their son. As he grows up, he begins to show more of his powers and to help him, they turn to the Equestria Super Powered Pony League who gladly agree to train the colt. The very next day, he starts training. "Are you sure I can do this?" asks an unsure Mason. "I'm sure you can, Flame Hoof!" replies Golden Token and Wonder Mare from the control room's heat resistant glass. He shoots a beam of fire at the targets, turning them to ashes. He continues this routine for several more hours before breaking for lunch. "Good job today," says Wonder Mare as she passes him on her way to her table where she sits down and begins to eat her meal. Once she's done, she flies off, to where, he's not quite sure, so he asks Golden. "Golden?" asks Mason, "where is Wonder Mare going?" "Today is her homeland's ten thousand year anniversary, so she's going home," replies Golden, "to a place called Armana. It's a place where only mares and fillies live." "Sounds like paradise," replies Mason. He then gets his food and goes and sits with the other young heroes who he hopes to make friends with. At the table, he talks with the other young recruits. He even learns that one has powers similar to his own and the group become close friends with him and the other colt with powers just like his becoming the closest of best friends. He feels like he has a home now that he's training at the Hall. He's no longer an outcast like he was on that little patch of land with only five buildings surrounding him back at home with Lily Petal and Lancelot. Here, he finally has come into his own as a pony, but still has yet to come into his own as a hero, but he knows, he will with time and plenty of training. Meanwhile on the island of Armana, Wonder Mare goes to greet her mother for the first time in ten thousand years. "Hello mother," says Wonder Mare as she approaches the celebration area that is alight with lanterns. "Hello my daughter, how you've grown!" her mother, Amartus replies. "I'm glad to be home," replies Wonder Mare as she walks over to her mother who then embraces her in a hug. "And I'm glad you're home," replies her mother. The two then go over and join in on the festivities. The two, after the festivities come to a close tonight, go off to the old gazebo to talk. "Will you ever leave the world of stallions, my dear Miana?" asks her mother, Amartus. "No, I don't ever believe I shall," replies Wonder Mare, "because it's my home now. It's where my friends are. It's where, it's where my love is. It's where Golden is." "Falling in love with a stallion is futile, my daughter," replies her mother. "No it's not, you wouldn't know," replies Wonder Mare. "Actually I would," replies her mother, "because you see, I fell in love with a stallion once. He was a powerful unicorn. His name was Starswirl. He was a wizard from the world of stallions but the power corrupted him, so I left him, but not after falling pregnant with his daughter, a mare you know as Akimale. That name translates to "heir of the star" or in stallion's terms: Trixie." "You're telling me I have a sister?" says a shocked Miana. "Yes, I am," sighs Amartus. "I just wish you hadn't learned it like this." She bows her head over her hands. Wonder Mare sees this as her cue to leave, so she flies off to her childhood tower for the night. She'll return to the world of stallions, as her mother calls Equestria, tomorrow. The next day, Wonder Mare returns home. There, she is greeted at her apartment by Golden. She lets him in and she tells him the news. "Golden," says Wonder Mare, "I have a sister. Her name is Trixie and she is a very powerful unicorn. I need to know where I can find her." "Find her?" asks Golden puzzled. "She lives in an old junky cart on the outskirts of town." The two then stop talking and get right to kissing. After all, finding Trixie can always wait until tomorrow.
