//------------------------------// // Day Three // Story: New Best Friends // by FionnaSkribbles //------------------------------// Blaze was still inside Aurora's house with his half-brother and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. He woke up with Cottontail on his head. "Cotton, get off my head." He said lightly shoving the bunny off of him. "I'm kind if hungry right now. I could use a bunny." He said smiling at his pet, causing the bunny's tail to droop. "I'm just kidding, I'm not going to eat the one pet I have." He said petting the bunny. Aurora walked by the living room and saw Blaze petting his bunny. "Hey, you're up." She said combing her hair. "The others are in the kitchen. My parents are at an impromptu meeting with the other castle guards." "What time is it?" Blaze asked. "It's two pm," Aurora said. "Hey, guys!" Said Summer who walked in jumping on the couch next to Blaze. "Hey, kid." He said and he suddenly gasped. "What's with the wound?" He said looking at Summer's hoof. "I stepped on a knife. It's not bleeding that much." He said. "Yeah, but it's bleeding to the point where we want to... taste..." Blaze and Aurora were distracted at the sight of Summer's hoof, their pupils turning red, fangs showing. "Stop!" Summer yelled and the two blinked several times their eyes reverting to their original colors. Summer started to cry from fear. "Summer, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Blaze said comforting the crying unicorn. "What is the matter with you?!." He yelled. "Summer, we are so sorry we would never harm you," Ari said. "Are you sure how about that?" Summer raised his injured hoof near Blaze and Aurora. "Summer, stop it," Blaze said closing his eyes. "Come on. You don't want to right? Alright then." He said rubbing his blood on Blaze and Aurora's nostrils. "Kid, stop it," Aurora warned visibly getting mad. "You're making it worse on yourself." Blaze said his eyes slowly turning red. "Why what's the matter can't handle it?" Summer taunted the two. "Summer Sunshine stop rubbing your blood on our nostrils!" Blaze scolded the unicorn. Summer flinched "Alright." He said his ears drooping from embarrassment. "We're gonna eat now," Aurora said walking out of the living room with Blaze leaving Summer in the living room. "Does your brother want to be a vampire or something?" Ari said. "I don't know," He licked the blood on his nostrils. "But he sure tastes good." He said. "He does," Ari smirked. "Come on let's just think of something else. I don't want the thought of my brother's neck bleeding because of us." He shuddered. "Better not tease us again," Ari said in a serious manner. "Yeah, we might turn him into one." He addressed. "Let me ask you something. How did you turn into one exactly?" He asked and Aurora sighed. "Let's go to my bedroom first." She whispered. "Alright." The two went inside Aurora's bedroom and she closed the door. "Well, it was Nightmare Night. I was in Ponyville visiting my ex-marefriend. She forced me to go to the Everfree Forest. Then..." ***** Two years ago. "Come on, Ari. Let's go." Said the mare. "Can you stop calling me Ari? It's a stupid nickname." Aurora said shoving her marefriend, who was a unicorn. "Why? It's cute, lovely, and most of all I created it for you." She cooed. "Will you stop it, Sparks." She said. "Why? You call me 'Sparks' it suits my name, Diamond Sparkle." She insisted. "Ari, I don't know I'll probably get used to it." She smiled. "Let's go to the Everfree. You don't know... there might be mysteries there." "Aren't you supposed to be with Twilight reading a book?" Aurora joked. "Ha ha ha, just because we have the same last name doesn't mean we're relatives. Anyways you wanna go or what?" She said excitedly. "Alright." Sparks and Ari went to the Everfree. They entered the forest. They got lost as they went into the deeper parts in the forest. "This is creeping me out," Sparks said. Sparks and Ari heard hoofsteps following them. "I'm not doing this. Let's get out of here." Sparks said slowly backing away. "You finally agree to me." She said sarcastically. Out of nowhere, a shadow cast in front of the couple. Diamond, out of fear, ran away leaving the bat pony behind. "Diamond, wait!" Aurora didn't go anywhere as she was tackled by the pony. Aurora couldn't fight back as the pony on top was stronger. "L-let me g-go please." She said shivering from fear. The pony suddenly revealed crimson eyes and sharp fangs. "S-stop, Diamond! Help!" She yelled in vain but it was too late. "This shouldn't hurt don't worry." The pony whispered in her ear and he suddenly plunged his fangs into Aurora's neck causing her to yell in pain. She wasn't exactly in pain, she was more uncomfortable. "A-ah! S-sto... I don't... want to..." Aurora felt her vision start to fade as the pony sunk the fangs deeper inside her and she slowly lost huge amounts of blood. Aurora woke up sometime later in the same position she was in. "Ugh, my head." She said standing up. "Diamond? Are you there?" Aurora yelled. She turned around to see a bunny hopping through the forest. "Hello, cute bunny. You look cute, I want to..." Aurora's eyes started turning red. "Taste... you." She continued. The bunny's ears drooped as Aurora started sinking her teeth into the bunny. She was surprised at the flavor of the blood. She savored every drop of blood until the bunny was no longer moving. "Man, that was aweso..." Her eyes turned to its original color. "What? What... did I?" She suddenly gasped when she saw her blood-covered hooves. "Oh, no no no no no no no. This cannot be happening." She said in disbelief. "I gotta get outta here." She said to herself. Aurora flew up the forest and came back to Ponyville bloody, mud all over her, her neck still bleeding. She came to the nearest pony to ask direction. Do you know where? Diamond Sparkle lives?" She said not even minding the wound that was slightly bleeding on her neck. "S-she lives there." Said the pony filled with terror pointing to a house near the Carousel Boutique. "Thanks." She said storming off. Aurora walked onto Spark's front door. "DIAMOND! ARE YOU IN THERE?!" She said violently knocking on her door the door opened a few moments later. "Ari? Is that you?" She said levitating her phone. "DON'T YOU 'ARI' ME! YOU LEFT ME IN THE EVERFREE FOREST YOU EXCEPT ME TO ACT CALM!? "Ari, calm down? Why are you messy? What happen to your neck?!" She said ignoring Aurora's anger instead, being genuinely concerned. Aurora sighed deeply before answering. "Let's just go in your bedroom." She said wiping her muddy and bloody hooves on the doormat. "Oh, alright," Sparks said taken aback by her calm tone. ---- "You want to know what happen?" She said. "Yeah, you want to get a bandage for your neck first?" Sparks said about to go to the bathroom. "Alright sure." She said grinning sweetly. "Where are your parents?" Aurora asked. "They're on vacation in Canterlot." She said from the bathroom. "Where is it?" She whispered. "Ah, There it is." Diamond picked up the alcohol and bandages as she was about to levitate the things, she saw in the mirror that there was blood on her neck. "What, is this hers or mine?" She asked to herself and she rubbed the blood she was surprised that she had a cut. "I'm still here!" Aurora complained. "Oh yeah, right." She ran out of the bathroom. "Alright, stay still." She said. "How did you get the wounds?" Not looking at Aurora as she was focused on cleaning her wound. She inspected the wound closely, wiping it with a piece of cloth. Meanwhile, Aurora winced when she felt the slightly soaked cloth. She looked at Diamond to see that she had a small cut on her neck. Aurora's fangs started to appear on her mouth. "Aurora! Did you get bit by a..." She looked up to see that her marefriend had a murderous smile, her eyes crimson, fangs appearing on her mouth. Diamond was suddenly tackled by Aurora banging her head against the wall. "Oww..." She opened her eyes to see her marefriend pinned her to the wall. "Hey... hey... I can be you marefriend... no way, no way... I think you need a new one." Aurora sang slowly, singing Diamond's favorite song, sneering at her. "Ari, l-let me go. Please, I d-don't wanna die!" She stuttered. "Don't worry, Sparks," she said using her affectionate nickname. "I want you to experience what I experienced." She sneered. "Aurora, please don't... I-I love you." Diamond said. "Aww, thanks. But that won't save you, sorry." "Ari ple--" She didn't have time to finish as Aurora sank her fangs deep into Diamond's neck causing her to yell in pain. "AHHH! AURORA STOP IT!" She yelled struggling to free herself, but she was getting noticeably weaker from blood loss. Aurora removed her fangs on Sparks and started licking the blood dripping from her neck. "Aurora..." She used her remaining strength to lift herself and kiss her directly on the lips. Aurora was taken aback by the kiss, her pupils immediately turned into their original colors. "Mmmpphh!" Aurora moaned. Diamond let go of the kiss before dropping on the floor. "Ugh, Sparks?" Aurora said, scratching her head, dazed. "Sparks!" She said comforting the pony. "Don't... worry..." She grinned weakly, before passing out. "Diamond? Diamond... no! Please..." Aurora sobbed quietly. Aurora felt her pulse on the other side of her neck. She was still alive. But she is critically injured. "Diamond... Please..." Aurora kissed her barely breathing marefriend. "Hmmm..." She heard a small groan from her and Aurora's eyes opened and she let go of the kiss. "Diamond!" She hugged the unicorn. "Ugh, Ari? What happened?" She said weakly, trying to stand up. "Well, long story short. I got bit by a vampony, I came to your house, I saw blood on your neck, I bit you, and you're a vampony now." She said casually. "I, what? I'm a vampony?" She asked. "Yeah, you need blood right now," Aurora said. "You're joking right?" She said. "No, I just ate a rabbit earlier and I'm fine right now." She said. "Alright then... where do I get blood." Diamond said surprisingly calm at the fact that she just turned into a vampony. Aurora grinned placing her neck near Diamond. "Aurora Moonlight, I will not get blood from your neck." She smirked. "You have to you'll go mad if you don't have any," Aurora said. "Are you sure you'll be fine?" Diamond asked sincerely. "Yeah, I'll be fine." Aurora cooed, smiling comfortingly. Diamond hesitantly bit into Aurora's neck. "Oh, calm down." Aurora joked. Diamond flipped Aurora causing her to be on the bottom while Diamond was on top, still sucking blood from her. "Woah, calm down, baby." She smiled. Diamond removed her fangs from Ari's neck and proceeded to kiss her. "Wow, she's really into this." Ari thought. "You taste good." Diamond whispered. "So do you." She whispered back causing the two to giggle. Diamond shifted herself away from Aurora. "You look cute when you're bloody," Aurora commented. "Thanks," She said smiling. "You need to clean yourself and your bedroom," Aurora said. "Yeah," She looked at the clock behind Aurora. "Honey, almost late you need to go home." Aurora looked at the clock behind her. "Oh shoot my parents are gonna kill me!" She said. "Let's see each other tomorrow? By the way, wear a jacket." Aurora asked. "Alright, see you tomorrow." Diamond smiled kissing her before Aurora left. "Bye!" Aurora said and she closed the door. "Man, what a crazy Nightmare Night." Diamond said to herself. **** "So what happened to her?" Blaze asked. "Well, she moved to Manehattan after I left Ponyville." Ari said. "Why were you in Ponyville exactly?" Blaze questioned raising his eyebrows. "I was on a vacation, my parents told me I need it." She said her expression showing regret. "Oh, alright. Where were you staying?" He asked. "I was with Pinkie Pie. You know her?" She asked. "Yeah, I live with her." Blaze said. "She's very weird always talking about baking and putting a 'secret ingredient' in them." Blaze's eyes widened. "That's great... He asked nervously. "Anyways, did you see Sweetie Belle? She looks like she and Apple Bloom are you know..." Aurora asked looking at Blaze. "You know nothing, Aurora..." Blaze said. Blaze narrowed his eyes. "Do you know something?" Blaze said. "Do you know something?" Aurora repeated. "I might know something." Blaze was looking more suspicious. "I might know something too." Ari looked at him. "What's the thing you know?" Blaze said. "Oh no, I can't tell you what I know until you tell me what you know," Ari answered. "I can't tell you what I know." Blaze said. "Well, I then can't tell you what I know." Ari shrugged. "Okay fine." Aurora stood up for a moment and Blaze looked at Aurora. "You don't know." He smirked. "Alright, how about I go over to the dining room, and I will walk into Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle and I will see if the thing that I think that I know is actually the thing that I think that I know!" Ari exclaimed. Blaze suddenly gasped. "You know?!" "And you know!" She yelled. "Yeah, I know!" He said. "Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom? Oh, this is unbelievable. How long have you known?" She asked in shock. Blaze came closer to Aurora and held her, shaking her slightly. "Too long! Oh my Celestia, Ari, I've been dying to talk to somepony about this for so long! Listen, listen, we can't say anything about this to anypony, they're so weird about that! Listen--" Summer suddenly walked into the room to check on the two. "Hey!" Said the two. "Hey! It's almost midday. I want to go out and not wait here. So…" He said impatiently. "Ooh, I am going to go talk to the Crusaders." Blaze said walking out of the room "Ohhh, yeah, me too," Ari said following Blaze. "That's weird... I bet they're doing it." Summer said to himself. **** "So you think Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle are having a crush on each other?" Blaze whispered. "I only saw it once. They were very mushy..." She exclaimed. "How come you don't talk to the Crusaders about it?" "It was driving me crazy." He said. "I think we should forget about it," Aurora suggested. "Yeah, we should. Just thinking about it would make me even crazier." He joked. "Anyways, I'm hungry. And no I don't want blood I just want regular food." He smiled. "I think there's Apple pie inside the fridge." She said. "Alright," He walked in the kitchen and saw the Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle conversing. "Hey, guys!" Said Apple Bloom, nervously. "Hey, girls! Umm, is there pie in the fridge?" Blaze asked. "Yeah, there's apple pie in the fridge," Sweetie said opening the fridge and giving a slice of pie to Blaze. "Thanks," and he took a bite. "Mmm, this is good where did you get this?" Blaze asked. "It's from the cafe where we first met," Ari said. Scootaloo walking in from the kitchen to the dining room. "So, what are gonna do today?" Scootaloo asked. "I dunno. I actually just want to chill." Blaze said. "You know you just want to stay here because your body is not used to the sun." Summer said appearing behind the two. "Yeah, I know. Anyways, does anyone have a mirror? I need to check if the myth about vamponies not seeing themselves in the mirror is real." He continued. "Here's one beside me." Sweetie Belle said levitating a mirror near her. "Don't worry it's not real you still have a reflection, trust me," Aurora reassured him. "Huh, alright then. I guess it's still there." And he gave the mirror back to Sweetie Belle. "So no plans for today?" Scootaloo asked. "We have a PonyStation upstairs," Aurora said and the five gasped. "You're just telling this to us now?!" Summer exclaimed. "Come in! Let's play scary video games!" Scootaloo suggested. "Alright then! Let's go upstairs!" Ari said.
