Standing in front of a large building with the words Canterlot High School above its doors was the figure of a young man. Dressed in a pair of faded jeans and t-shirt covered by a long black leather jacket. The young man's name was Leo. And he wondered why, why did he talk his mother into allowing him to come here. It's not like he had to really go to school he learned how to read and write from his parents in multiple languages to boot. But it was what his father said that made him remember why.
Three days prior
"I saw some of them again those hoomans they were getting close to the den," Leo said as he walked down the path with Warin his father.
"It's pronounced HUMAN and you shouldn't scare them off like that it will only make them want to return," Warin said as he looked down at his son.
"Well whatever they're called they look weird they don't even have wings or a tail, Leo said as he ruffled his wings and swished his tail back and forth.
"Son, you must remember that you are a human as well you only have a Dragon Half's body because of your mother," Warin said looking at his son with a stern expression.
"I know, I know but that doesn't mean I have to like it," Leo said as he looked to the ground.
As the two began walking back to the den they heard more human voices but this time they sounded a little different instead of the arrogant male challenging type or the wisdom seeker these ones sounded like young females that were lost. The last part was easy to tell because they kept asking each other which way was back to camp. Warin decided it would be best to leave at once but Leo was already gone from his father's side heading towards the voices.
"Leo, what in the name of the Great Egg are you doing, get back here?" Warin called through gritted teeth.
Leo just waved a hand at him and continued towards the voices. He didn't know why but he had to see what these humans looked like. Creeping closer Leo found a spot where he could see the humans clearly without them knowing of his excitants. Looking over the group he counted seven what he could recognize as females each had some unique features. One was tall muscular with blonde hair and wore a hat. Then there was a shorter one with hair with the colors of a rainbow arguing with the blonde. He had to admit that she did look kind of cute. Looking around more there were two of them that looked like they had no business being in the woods on had these things on her face she kept touching and the other one like the rainbow haired one Leo thought looked cute too had dark purple hair that almost looked unnatural how it was. As he continued to look he saw two more girls now knowing that is what they were called both had pink hair but one of them was bouncing around like a crazy frog. The other one remained quiet hiding behind her hair. The last girl was the one that caught Leos attention the most she had red and yellow hair and for some reason, he felt like he knew her.
"I'm tellin yah, we head that way we'll get back to camp sooner Rainbow," the girl in the hat said to the now Rainbow.
"And I say we follow the stream it'll lead us back," Rainbow said to the one in the hat.
Girls, I think if we calm down we might just figure this out without fighting," Said the girl that Leo still kept looking at. "Now, moss grows on the north side of trees and camp is to the west of the mountains so if we look and find it then we need to head that way," The red and yellow haired girl said pointing in a direction that Leo knew would take them to a place where humans liked to stay in the woods. With that settled, they started to make their way to camp. The whole time a certain pink haired bouncing girl kept looking around for the one that was spying on them.
"Pinkie what are you doing Darling please keep up we would hate to lose you out here," The dark purple haired girl said.
"But I want to find the boy that's been spying on us," Pinkie said as she bounced down the path.
"What in tarnation are you talkin' about what boy?" The girl in the hat asked looking back at her friend.
"You know the one that was found by dragons as a baby and raised by said dragons to only wonder what the world is like outside the forest only to decide to come to Canterlot High School where he will make some friends find lost and new love with three of our friends then all of us will get to go to Equestria to have some fun only to find out dragon boy has an evil being in side him and only the Elements of Harmony can help save him that boy is who I'm talking about," Pinkie said with a duh look on her face.
"Pinkie where did you get an idea like that?" The Purple and pinkish stripe haired girl asked as she looked at her friend.
"Nowhere, it's not like I have the manuscript of the story we're in Twilight," Pinkie said as she stuffed what looked like a manuscript back into her hair only to smile at her friend.
As the seven girls made their way back to camp Leo stood there watching them leave. Three thoughts plagued his mind first being what is this school the pink haired one spoke of and second, why did that yellow and red haired girl look so familiar and third why was there a large bulge in his pants after seeing the rainbow, dark purple, and red and yellow haired girls.
No matter what it would take he had to find the answers but first he had to get home or his mother would tan his hide for being late.
That night Leo sat and told his mother of all that he learned today of the girls and school.
Zephra looked from her son to her mate only to receive a nod to confirm what the boy said was true before she cleared her throat. "Now Leo I know what you saw must have been exciting but you must realize that if you choose to explore the world of man you must do it alone for we can not venture there for it is too dangerous," Zepha said looking down at her son.
"Why, why is the world of man dangerous to dragons was it not dragons that taught Man to read, write, and speak?" Leo asked looking from his mother to his father.
"Yes dragons did give man knowledge but some of them abused the gift thanks to the corruption of beings like Paradox and Cipher they began to hunt down the all the creatures of magic. Until the great Alicorn Peacekeeper Lauren Faust opened a portal to another world to keep them safe leaving only a handful behind to keep watch for someday man might redeem themselves and the portal would open bringing both worlds together," Warin said sounding more like a professor at the time.
"Mother I know it might be dangerous but I have to try. I would like to go to this school and learn what it means to be human," Leo said placing his small hand onto the claw of his mother.
With a great sigh, Zephra smiled down at her son. Very well but the magic that makes you a Dragon Half must be hidden you must look the part of a human. And like I said your father and I can not go with you physically but we will be with you in spirit," Zephra said as she produced to leather bracelets each having a gem in the center that matched one of each of his parent's eyes. "Now rest up for it will take you two days to reach the place call Canterlot and this school my son," Zephra said making Leo a nest to sleep in.
"Mother, I am Eighteen summers I think I'm a little too old for you to make my nesting bed," Leo said crossing his arms.
"When you as old as I then I'll stop making them now get to bed and sleep you have a new life ahead of you," Zephra said leaning down to kiss her son.
Leo closed his eyes and began to sleep but in the far reaches of his subconscious, a figure stood, grinning at what he had learned.
"So that's what happened to them all that bitch Faust how dare she interfere," The figure said as its one eye became red with anger. "It doesn't matter I have what I want and this boy will be the vessel for me to reach my goal of domination and as soon my influence takes hold I will find this portal and claim what is rightfully mine." It said as it slipped back into the dark recesses of the boy's mind laughing evilly.
The next morning Leo awoke and prepared for his adventure in the world of man. His mother had packed him some food for his journey and his father gave him a list and a small bag from their hoard. As he made his way out into the world Leo looked at the list to see what he had to do.
1: Travel East to the city of Caterlot.
2: Find a man called Gold Digger he will help trade the treasure for human currency and help enroll you into the school.
3: Find a place to live near the school.
4: Go to school and make friends and learn what it means to be human.
5: Be safe and know we will always love you.
After reading the last part a lone tear fell down his cheek. Leo knew that this wasn't going to be easy but he has never backed down from a challenge.
Present Time

Taking a deep breath he reached for the handle of the door only for the door to swing out hitting him in the face and knocking him to the ground.
All Leo could do was sit there rubbing his face he growled thinking. "At least things can't get any worse than this right?"
