In the morning, Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon were playing hide and seek. Starlight was the seeker and Trixie was the hider. "Where are you, Trixie?", Starlight asked playfully. "I know you're around here somewhere. I'll find you somehow." They were playing a hall.
Trixie was hiding behind a plant that Starlight was a few inches away from. She teleported five feet over Starlight and fell on here. The two tumbled to the ground. Trixie smiled and teased Starlight. "Got you pinned.", she snickered. The two giggled cutely.
Just then, Twilight found them. "Girls, would you keep it down, I'm trying to read a book in my room.", she said.
Trixie got off Starlight and helped her up. "Sorry, Twilight, we're happy that Summer's almost here.", she said.
"Yeah.", Starlight said. "Aren't you excited about that?"
"Of course, Summer is awesome.", Twilight said. "But, I do need to read books in my mean time."
Spike the dragon arrived. "Morning, girls, I thought I heard somepony playing hide and seek in the halls.", he said.
Twilight was surprised to see Spike. "Spike, where have you been?", she asked. "Where were you early in the morning?"
"Huh? What do you mean where have I been? What are you talking about?", Spike asked.
Twilight turned around and saw that Starlight and Trixie were standing there, listening to the conversation between her and Spike. "Um, can you girls play somewhere else?", she asked. "Me and Spike need to talk."
Starlight and Trixie shrugged and left the two be.
"Spike, what happened last night? Why didn't you turn up to bed at 4:00?", Twilight asked angrily.
"Twilight, I don't know what you're talking about.", Spike said. "I was in bed all night. The time when I got out of bed is when I needed to use the bathroom."
"Huh, really?", Twilight asked as she didn't believe Spike. "What took you so long to go to the bathroom so late at night?"
"I was only in the bathroom for five minutes to go to the toilet.", Spike said. "I don't understand what you're talking about, Twilight. Were you having a dream about me?"
"No.", Twilight snarled. "It's not a joke. You weren't in bed for a few hours. We're you doing something in secret?"
"No, I wasn't secretly doing anything.", Spike said. "You know I would never go anywhere at night to do something stupid. I don't understand you, Twilight. I've been in bed all night. I haven't left the room. It must be your imagination."
"Well, I have trusted you in years, so you're maybe right.", Twilight said. "I guess I have been dreaming about you. Even though, I didn't imagine things too much. So, I'm sorry, Spike. But, if you're going somewhere at night, please let me know. I was worried sick about you."
There was a scream through the hall. Trixie came running with a newspaper in her magic. "Twilight, read this article.", she said.
Twilight took the newspaper and read the article. "Last night at 1:00, a 21 year old unicorn had a spinning blade in her forehead on a path of Ponyville. The instigators found out that the killer was in a bush, but they didn't have any clue who is was. She was found at 7:00 with a big bloody puddle under her head. She was rushed to the hospital to get lots of surgeries and a load of stitches. The instigators will find out about the murderer."
"OH MY CELESTIA!", Twilight yelled with fright. "Who could've done this?! I never knew there could be killers in Ponyville. Now, I'm scared to go out there at night. I don't want to end up like that girl."
"Me too.", Trixie said.
"Where's Starlight?", Spike asked.
"She went shopping.", Trixie said.
