//------------------------------// // Chapter Four - Coming Home // Story: We're Sisters!!!! // by PixelMoon //------------------------------// Twilight and Rainbow walked threw the castle doors. They were on their way back to Ponyville. "So, how are we gonna tell them?" Rainbow asked. "I don't know. Maybe we could meet them at Sugarcube Corner and tell them?" Twilight suggested. "Excuse me princess, are you riding on the train?" a voice asked. "Wha? Oh! Yes we are conductor," Twilight said, fazed for the moment. "Well welcome aboard! I can give you the finest cabin there is. How about the royal cabin? It's just for ponies like you two!" "Oh thanks. But, we can just take a normal cabin," Twilight insisted. "Alright if you say so your highness," the conductor said, not wanting to fight with a princess. Rainbow and Twilight walked onto the train. From there, they found a cabin with nopony in it and cast the soundproof spell. "So, how are we gonna hide my horn and the whole thing before my coronation?" Rainbow asked, putting a hoof to her horn. "I can put a illusion on it," Twilight suggested. "Is that our only option?" "Pretty much." "Well do it then!" "Alright, alright I am!" A magic pink aura surround Rainbow's horn. After a few seconds, it was gone along with the horn. "I really need to learn how to do this stuff Twily. I can barely lift a book," Rainbow said, proving it as she failed to lift one of her sister's books. "Hey! No touchy!" Twilight exclaimed, snatching the book out of fading Rainbow's aura. "I was just showing you okay!?" "If you're so into magic then why don't I just teach you when we get back home?" "Okay. The more magic I can do, the more awesome I will be," Dash said, earning a facehoof from Twilight. "You don't get the meaning of magic do you?" Twilight muttered. "Nope! And I don't care what the meaning is anyway." The train stopped at a screech. Twilight and Rainbow put their hooves to their ears to put them at ease. "All leaving to Ponyville watch your step!" the conductor said. "Well, we better get going, Dash," the purple alicorn said. They walked out of the cabin and onto the station. Before they made it out of the train though, a pink maned earth pony grabbed them. "Where have you two been?!" the mare practically screamed, earning glares from the ponies around the station. "Pinkie Pie! How did you know we were coming off the train?" Twilight asked, knowing she would regret that. "My Pinkie Sense told me! Now where were you guys!!??" "Yeah it was pretty strange. Spikey-Wikey came running into my store saying you just ran off to get Rainbow and never came back," Rarity chimed in as she trotted onto the platform. Twilight glanced at Rainbow. She could tell she was sweating a little. "Uh...we were in Canterlot. The princess sent me a scroll saying to only get Rainbow and leave," Twilight nervously answered. "And why couldn't ya have told us first?" Applejack asked in her normal southern accent. "The princess said to tell nopony," Rainbow responded. "Well can you tell us why you left now?" Pinkie asked, her eyes practically bulging out of their sockets. "Uh...we will tell you later. Meet us at Sugarcube Corner at noon," Twilight said. "Okie dokie lokie! That gives me time to plan your 'Welcome Back to Ponyville' party!" Pinkie said, skipping off to get more decorations. "She is so random sometimes," Applejack confirmed, facehoofing. "Uh Twilight?" Fluttershy said, breaking her silence of not speaking. "Yes Fluttershy, what is it?" Twilight asked, turning her head towards Fluttershy. "How was Canterlot? If you don't mind me asking, that is," she asked. "I don't mind you asking Flutters. It was pretty, uh, different," Twilight answered, backing away. "Well, me and Rainbow need to go! Bye!!" she said, running off to her castle. Rainbow and Twilight walked into Twilight's castle. It was clear as day that they were starving. "Spike? Spike!!!!" Twilight called. "Twilight? Is that you? Where were you! What did the princesses want? Are you okay?" Spike asked. "Whoa there! Slow down Spike, I'm fine. Can you go make us some food? We're starving!" Twilight said, giving the little dragon a hug. "Sure thing Twi!" he said, running off to the kitchen. "Now, how should this whole thing go? How do we tell them?" Dash asked. Twilight rose an eyebrow. "I already told you. We're meeting them at Sugarcube Corner." Rainbow facehoofed. "No not that! I mean, like how are we gonna tell them? Do we just blurt it out? Do we tell them exactly what mother and auntie said?" "Ohh! You mean that kina of how! Well, we should take it slow. And once we tell them, I can take the illusion off your horn." "Simple enough." Spike came through the door and into the breakfast room. "Your breakfast is ready Twilight! Oh and Rainbow!" he called. "Coming!" Twilight and Dash said in unison. "We have got to stop doing that," Dash muttered between giggles. "I think it's funny," Twilight giggled. They went to the table and sat down. Twilight and Rainbow entered Sugarcube Corner to find streamers and a cake. Their friends were sitting at a table waving for them to come over. "Did you like the decorations for you party? Did ya, did ya, did ya!?" Pinkie shouted. "Uh sure..." Dash said nervously. Rarity saw that they both were like that. "What's wrong, darlings?" she asked in a worried tone. "Yeah, and what is it that ya wanted to tell us?" Applejack asked. "Yeah, um, I would like to know too. If you don't mind that is," Fluttershy whispered. Twilight glanced at Rainbow, who waved her hoof for her to start. She took a deep breath, and opened her mouth to speak. "Well, do you guys want to know the whole story or just the main part?" "Well, I would indeed want to know and understand it all, Darling. So please, the whole story," Rarity answered. "Okay, so you know how we were called to the Canterlot Castle?" All her friends nodded. "The reason they called us there, is because... we are sisters." Twilight said in a whisper practically impossible to hear. "What was that?" Pinkie asked. "I said... we are sisters." she whispered again, only louder this time. "One more time!" Pinkie said, annoying Twilight very much. "I said...WE ARE SISTERS!!!!!" she shouted, glad that nopony but herself, her sister, and friends were in there. Everypony blinked. Then stared. Then opened there mouths to find they couldn't speak. "Come again?" Applejack finally managed to say. "Me and Twi are sisters," Dash said. "But..how is that possible? You two are in different pony races," Fluttershy whispered. "Actually, we are in the same race," Twilight said, removing the illusion from Rainbow's horn. "What?! Of all the ponies that could be a alicorn princess it's Rainbow Dash?! This is unspeakable! I can't believe it!" Rarity shouted, eyes wide. "I know it's crazy, but please let me explain," Twilight pleaded. "Okie dokie lokie!" Pinkie said, getting in a comfy position. "Okay, so a thousand years ago, Princess L~" "Wait just a darn second!" Applejack interrupted, putting a hoof up. "You need to tell me that you guys are over a thousand years old?!" They nodded. "Again, let my sister tell our story," Dash said nodding for Twilight to continue. "Okay, so Princess Luna fell in love and got married, but her husband died because of griffens. By the way, our dad was a guard. Anyway, after he died, mother found out she was carrying us, and later gave birth. But a year after, she went to the moon. When that happened, auntie Tia found that we were affected by some dark magic. So in order to remove it, she had to take some magic. We both lost our Earth pony magic, but the Celestia made us different races based on what we were best at," Twilight started. "Then she put us in these magic comas that kept us young. We woke up eighteen years ago and started a new life," Dash finished. Everypony blinked and stared at the two. They didn't know what to say. "So, you guys are like 1,007 years old?" Fluttershy asked. "Yes, I guess so." "That. Is. AWESOME!!" Pinkie shouted, hopping around the room "That is pretty amazing, dear," Rarity agreed. "When is your coronation Dashie?" "What?" "When your going to be crowned a princess." "Oh yeah, about that." "Mother and auntie invited us to stay with them. And said that you guys can come too," Twilight said for Dash. "I would love too!" Rarity said before anypony else knew why they had just said. "But the thing is, I don't know if we want to," Twilight continued. "WHAT?! Oh Darling! This is a opportunity of a life time! You must do it!" Twilight shook her head. " I don't know guys. I mean, I would have you guys with me, but I don't want to tear you apart from your home." "It's okay Twilight, we can go with you and manage. Besides, you would be with your mother and auntie," Fluttershy insured. "But mah apples! Ah would have to leave mah family! I'm with Twi on this one," Applejack said. "You see? Not everypony wants to. I don't think I will," Twilight sighed. "Oorr, we could spend a week there and see how it goes! That way, if we don't like it, we can stay in Ponyville!" Pinkie suggested. "Uh Twi? I think that might work," Rainbow said. "Who's in?" Twilight asked, putting her hoof out. Pinkie put hers in, along with Rarity and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy hesitated, but put hers in at the end. Everpony was waiting on Applejack. "Come on Applejack! It's just one week," Rarity said. She sighed. "Fine. But only fer one week! And if ah don't like it, then ah'm moving' back with may family," Applejack gave in. "Alright! We will be leaving soon. So go pack your things for a week's stay," Twilight said. Everypony left, leaving Twilight and Spike alone for the first time in a while.
