Chapter 1: Arriving at Harrisburg and catching the Broadway

A colorful changing space twisted and grew as a body of a familar blue Hedgehog floated in the space. The hedgehog was Sonic The Hedgehog and he was sent to this colorful void as he was knocked out by Chaos Control thanks to Dr.Eggman's newest plan to concur Möbius which backfired. Now floating in a unknown void with color changing around him Sonic was about to go on a new adventure with a new look and powers. At first Sonic didn't move as he floated around the void however; his hands were starting to twitch as he started to regain consciousness.
Then Sonic slowly opened his eyes and saw the colorful void around him. He had seen strange things before, but this was new to him. All the colors remind him of the Wisps from one of his previous adventures. Then he said with a confused tone in his voice, "Wah! Where am I?"
But Sonic never got an answer as a sudden bright white covered him and then in flash Sonic turned from a hedgehog to the Univoa region Mythical Water & Fightning Type Pokémon Keldeo. He felt the same, but in a new form and look. Sonic looked at himself and said, "Whoa what just happened to me?!"
Then a aqua blue scarf floated in front of Sonic then it tied around his neck. The scarf wasn't tight or loose it tied perfectly to allow Sonic to breath without being chocked to death. Sonic looked down at his new scarf that was tied around his neck and said with a smile, "Hmm hey not bad. I like this new scarf."
Then Sonic saw something shining beside him and slowly walked over to the left in his new form. Even though he was now a Pokémon now Sonic still knew how to walk on four legs anyway. When he got to the area where he saw the shine from he noticed nothing was there. Then he said with a confused look on his face, "Huh? But I thought I saw something here. Where did it go?"
Then Sonic heard a sound which sounded like energy building up and was ready to be released. He looked around with confusion and nervousness and had a feeling he was in for a long drop! Then he said to himself, "Why do I have the feeling I'm about to have a long drop?!"
But then a strange cyan blue glowing portal with patterns that Sonic never seen before appeared below his feet! He looked whipped his head around from left to right and was taken by surprise. Then the pattern started glowing brighter, and the floor disappeared below Sonic's feet and fell down a colorful changing hole towards the end of the long tunnel which lead to the dimension of Earth that mirrored Equestria.
Then the same portal opened up above a lush forest and it spit Sonic out from it. The portal glowed again then like magic it disappeared into thin air in a cyan blue flash. Sonic on the other hand was twisting and turning in midair as birds missed him just in time as he kept falling for the ground.
Sonic wailed as he fell to the ground and he was going down fast and the ground was coming up too! There was only one option for him to do call for help. Then Sonic yelled out loud, "SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
But there wasn't any help coming and Sonic crashed landed into the ground with tree branches snapping and animals running away from the noise! After a big thud Sonic laid unconscious from the drop and landed in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains near Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Sonic also landed near the railroad tracks of the old PRR Middle Division too. But his newest adventure was just beginning with new friends and his friends who have been turned into Pokémon as well. Also save Earth from the clutches of Dr.Eggman!
Location: Harrisburg, PA at the Harrisburg International Airport
Time: 8:30 AM Eastern Time
"American Airlines Flight 42 from New Cantalot City your clear to land. Over." Said the air-traffic controlmen control tower of Harrisburg International Airport.
Then the pilot of the plane replied to the tower as the plane made its final descent, "Roger that we're coming in now."
Then American Airlines flight 42's landing gear came out of the bottom of the huge plane as it made its final descent to the runway of the airport as it made its landing as the landing gear hit the tarmack and started to slow down as it started to pull in into airport. A minutes later and coming to a complete stop and passengers started to disembark the jumbo jet. But a group of students from Canterlot High School and another group of students that were from Crystal Prep High School were on the plane. Among the group of passengers and students including the HuMane 7.
The girls and their class including the students from Crystal Prep left the airport from the Canterlot City Airport late last night flew from all the way from the lush scenic mountainus area of Colorado to the lush and bustling state of Pennsylvania. Both class were on a joint field trip to Altoona, Pennsylvania a bustling railroad town and Principal Celestia and Twilight's brother Shining Armor from were looking after the large group of kids from both schools on the trip and Celestia was able to get airplane tickets to Harrisburg for the kids. But instead of chartering a bus to Altoona she bought first class inexpensive Amtrak passenger train tickets for the newly returned New York to Chicago passenger train on the NS Harrisburg line the Three Rivers, but now of days the train is called by its old original name now from the standard railroad of the world the famed Broadway Limited the former crown jewl named train of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The train was gonna be comprised of all fully restored and refurbished inside and out former flutted sided Pennsylvania Railroad streamlined passenger cars. Then a flight attendant said to the teens and adults. "Thank you flying American Airlines. Welcome to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and have a great time."
As the kids got all of their belongings from the canopy shelf people started to leave the jet and with the Principal Celestia and Shining were leading the large group of students. After walking off the ramp into the airport Sunset and her friends saw the massive hallway that had different ramps for different flights. Then Rainbow said. "Wow this Airport is huge! I’ve never heard Pennsylvania had class!"
Sunset agreed with a nod and said. "Well its the one of the US's original 13 states. I've never seen an airport this big before."
Fluttershy then said. "Well it's kinda scary if you get lost here. I'm so happy we're on the ground again."
Then Rarity said to Fluttershy after getting a sun hat on. "Oh Fluttershy you can't be afraid of flying can't you?”
Fluttershy shook her head and said. “I do like flying Rarity, but it's nice to be on the ground again. After that long flight.”
Then Rainbow said with stretching arms out after walking around. "Well I'm glad we're off that plane. We were on that plane for 12 hours!"
Then Twilight said to Dash. "Actually we were on that flight for about 9 hours Dash."
Then the students heard Principal Celestia call out. "Attention all students I know we're all impressed by the airport. But we all have to get to Pennsylvania Station Harrisburg to catch the Broadway Limited. So lets pick up our luggage and head for the train station."
The students nodded and went to the luggage pick up area to retrieve their bags. After waiting for the luggage to be unloaded the kids got their bags and belongings. Twilight got Spike's small mobile dog cage which the talking purple dog was waiting for his owner and friend to get him. After getting all the luggage and caught the bus that went to the train station the kids were excited about what today was going to bring.
Then after a short drive through downtown Harrisburg the bus stopped at Harrisburg's Pennsylvania Station. The station looked amazing despite being built in 1887 then rebuilt in 1905 and then later 1986. It still had the mark of the Pennsylvania Railroad in the building's look with the red bricks making it so historical.
After the bus stopped at the sidewalk to the station the kids and the people walked off the bus and headed for their destination. To catch trains bound for New York City or points west and Chicago. Arriving at the ticket booth Celestia gave the train tickets to the Ticketmaster and made sure they were right on.
After checking over all the kids tickets they were ready to catch the train. The Ticketmaster told them where to catch the Broadway which was track 1. Then everyone heard on the intercom as the group of kids and lead by their principle listened to an announcer say. "Attention passengers Train number 5: the eastbound Pennsylvanian is loading on track 2 bound for Philadelphia and points east." Then the group headed down to the loading platform and wait for the Broadway Limited to arrive. The Humane 7 plus Spike who was in his dog carrier gasped as they saw tracks with trains on them with a old covered trainshed keeping everyone cool. There was also a old Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 numbered 4859 with a old PRR caboose parked in a station siding.
Shining walked up next to his very smart little sister and said to her, "Wow this place is busy! Don't you agree Twilight?"
Twilight looked at Shining and said with a smile, "Yeah! I wish Cadence was here to see it!"
Shining nodded in agreement and said, "Yeah I understand she would be impressed as well. But she's back at Crystal Prep looking after the students who didn't go on the trip."
Then 5 minutes later they heard the announcer say. "Attention passengers the Broadway Limited is now arriving on track 1. Passengers please step away and prepare to board until the train comes to a complete stop."
Then everyone heard a Diesel horn as 2 Amtrak GE P42ACs headed a 14 car passenger train and instead of Superliner passenger cars what all Amtrak trains usually had, but the Broadway was different and old school. The train's consist is all fully restored and refurbished inside and outside streamlined Pullman built, Tuscan Red painted with a gold yellow striped and lettering, and were 1940s era Pennsylvania Railroad passenger cars. There was also an observation car called the Mountain Veiw and it had the Train name on the symbol below the windows.
Also the 2 Amtrak diesels looked like they had mechanical problems and the 2 engines were uncoupled from the train so they can be checked on. The good thing was the train had a passenger car in the consist has a generator for the lights. Then Twilight saw the people looking at the direction the 2 P42ACs went and everyone waited for a another locomotive to take the train.
But then everyone heard a sound and it sounded like a steam whistle and sound of chuffing and ringing bell. Then everyone gasping in amazement and excitement to see a pillar of white smoke and extra tender painted black and lettering that said in gold numbering X1361 and side of the tender said in gold yellow Pennsylvania as former Pennsylvania Railroad 4-6-2 K4 Pacific No: 1361 with its new auxiliary water tender backed onto the train and with great ease the locomotive was coupled up to the passenger train. Some people say it's the return of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Broadway Limited headed by a K4 with PRR passenger cars to go with it. Well the K4 was specially for the Pennsy's named passenger trains.
People started taking photos with IPhones of the Altoona Shop's 1918 graduate and some were railfans and were pleased to see the engine back on mainline service. The girls were amazed at their first look of a real steam locomotive. The 1361 had just finished a excursion trip to Johnstown and returned the state capital after the trip was done. The K4 was about head back to its hometown of Altoona when the crew got a call for help from Amtrak to fill in for their 2 broken down diesels. Also this would be a great chance to show people what pulled the Broadway Limited before the diesel locomotives came and replaced steam.
After the air pipes from the baggage car to the auxiliary water tender for the air breaks were connected to the engine passengers began to climb aboard the train. Passengers were also disembarking if their stop was Harrisburg. The students from Canterlot High School boarded the train as they came to a coach car and Twi and Sunset sat next to each other as the others sat in seats behind behind them. Rainbow and Pinkie were in the seats behind them as they took their seats.
Then back outside the conductor look at his watch and called out loud. "All Aboard!"
Then Engineer of the 1361 nodded as the conductor stepped off the platform and into the coach car. Then with 2 blasts of the whistle from 1361 the train slowly started to move forward heading for Altoona as the train started to leave the station. The bell of 1361 rang as the engine pulled out of the station and headed onto former home rails the Middle Division as a cloud of steam and smoke drifted into the air.
Everyone heard the loud chuffing of the K4 as it turned its wheels forward. Then the locomotive's chuffing started to increase and get louder. The train's speed was also increasing as well as the Broadway Limited started off on its continued run for Chicago. After a few minutes the train passed Enola yard and then crossed over the Rockview Bridge Viaduct. Everyone looked in amazement as the train rolled over the bridge and made it to the other side.
The train started to gain speed as the stacktop grew louder and the drivers started to move faster and faster as the train reached track speed of 40 MPH. Twilight watched the scenery fly by as train accelerated out of the outskirts of the Harrisburg. Then 1361's whistle blew long and loud as the train passed a railroad crossing.
But Sunset and her friends were about to get into a adventure nothing like any other adventure they been on. This time 3 worlds collide and search for 7 powerful gems with power of a god of destruction. Also, discovering creatures with elemental powers that they could not imagine.
