We begin our story in the the land of Equestria. Now this is not the Equestria you all know and love, no this is a land divided by hate. 

To the north we have the crystal empire with its lovely crystal ponies. To the east we have the Dragons, experts in the smithing arts but who's hearts are filled with greed. To the west we have the Gryphons, creatures of noble mind but who only care for money. To the northeast we have the Changelings, creatures who only wanted to spread love. To the northwest we have the Thestrals, creatures who were kind but were also selfish. To the southeast we have the Zebras, creatures that dabble in potion making. To the southwest we have the kingdom of the Centaurs, Miniatures, and the Gargoyels, creatures who only care for themselves. To the south there is man who are themselves devided into three. the Working class, the merchants and the nobles. And finally in the center are the Ponies who are divide into four groups the alicorns who controls the sun and moon, the unicorns who controls government, the pegasi who controls weather and the earth ponies who controls farming.

Together these lands form the country of equestria. But because of their differences these lands are always threatening war upon each other. For centuries battles have been fought over various issues, such as land, money and power. But the main reason for all of the hatred was because there was no king to unite the different groups. Each group had its own leader be it a priest, general, chief or nobleman. What they needed was a ruler to unite the nine kingdoms under one banner.

So, we begin our story in the land of the Ponies were the alicorn leader Sunrise has called a meeting of the leaders of the nine kingdoms. The leaders are as fallows speaking for the Crystal Empire is sir Armor Glance, for the Dragons is lord Magma, for the Thestrals was general Shade, for the Humans was Sir Nathan, for the Changlings was high priest Insectum, for the Gryphons was general Silver beak, for the Zebras was chief Zygon, and finally speaking for the Gargoyals, Centaurs, and Minotaurs was sir Scorpan.

However, when the leaders arrived, they began bickering.  Now this went on for three hours until sunrise silenced everyone with a terrible display of his magic. Once everyone was silent, he told them all why he called the meeting. "I have summoned you all here because we need a king one who can unite us all under one banner." Sunrise said looking at the different leaders.  They all looked at each other and wanted to see who could be king.

That is when Sir Nathan stood and said, "It should be me." That is when the arguments began again. None of them wanted a corrupt human as their king.  However, no one could think of any one better suited for the task. The reason a human was the best choice is the humans have always been a militaristic race. They have led the other races to war in the past and now a new war was threatening their shores. Barbarians from across the great ocean were threatening to invade and they needed a leader.

So, the arguing continued for another hour.  No one could agree until the doors to the meeting hall flew open. Everyone went silent as 8 figures walked in. The first six were the sages of nature: earth, fire, air, water, wood, and stone. The next two to enter the room was Merlin a powerful unicorn sorcerer who wore a stary cape and hat decorated with bells. Merlin was only 15 but was already well versed in the art of magic and was famous for his prophetic visions. The last to enter the room was a tall half man half angel who spoke for God. He wore a white shirt with black pants, brown knee-high boots, a plane satchel, and a brown tunic tied by a black belt with a gold buckle. Around his neck he wore a gold cross symbolizing his faith in Christ. He carried a staff, a sword, a wand made from the tree of life, and in his satchel, he carried a spell book called the astro incantum lebra or universal spell book, it is a book that contains every magical spell and the entire history of magic. He was an immortal that has watched over Equestria since the death of Christ. He is Serenus the grand sorcerer.

Serenus was well known for his kind and selfless deeds, he had many titles one of which referred to him as the prophet sorcerer, and he was the most powerful magic user in the world. The sword he carried was called claiomh solias which means sword of light. He and his students were summoned by God to put an end to the feud between the tribes once and for all. Serenus stepped forward and addressed the delegation "Why do you argue in such a manner as to get me involved." Sunrise stood up to speak but before he could say anything the entire group began to speak over one another. Having grown tired of the arguing Serenus used his magic to end the bickering by slamming the bottom of his staff on the ground creating a bright burst of light which got everyone's attention effectively ending the dispute.


"That is enough, Now tell me what troubles all of you?!" The sorcerer shouted.


Sir Nathan addressed Serenus speaking for all of the leaders. "Grand sorcerer we argue because we grow tired of being divided. Some of us believe we need a king to defend us. For we are under the threat of invasion."

Lord Magma stood up and was the next to speak. "It is true this unrest has only led to countless deaths a king would unit our lands against the coming enemy."

He was then interrupted by sir Scorpan. "You are wrong a king would only become a tyrant and enslave us." This only led to more arguing so ounce more Serenus struck the ground with his staff silencing the delegates.


Serenus then addressed them saying "I have been given a vision from God. It is a vision of a king who will unite the land in God's name. Give me one month and I shall return with your chosen king."


Sir Nathan spoke on behalf of the leaders. "Grand sorcerer you understand that if you fail to find us a king in the time given, we will choose a king instead?"


Serenus looked around the room and saw the leaders agreed with Sir Nathan's proposal.


The grand sorcerer then turned to Sir Nathan and nodded is understanding. Sir Nathan then stated, "Very well starting tomorrow you have one month to return with our anointed king." Serenus bowed to The Lord then with the accompanying of his followers and student he left on his quest to find Equestria's chosen king.
