** Five days before Summer break **

Sunny flare was happy not only for the summer vacation that was in a week, but to spend another day with her best friend, Lemon Zest.
Lemon hasn't been active with her recently, she was sad.
She looked at her skateboard and got a flashback of her first meeting with Lemon.

Since she was little, sunny flare always wanted to learn how to ride a skateboard but she was to shy to ask her parents to buy one, she also tough that their parents would say something like..."Skateboards are for boys, not for intelligent girls".
She only watched people skating while sitting on a bench.
Sunny Flare didn't have friends, she was always in her home doing homework, the same routine.
One day, a girl with green hair and headphones stopped in front of her doing an awesome skate trick leaving Sunny Flare stunned.

"Hi! My name is Lemon Zest. What's yours?" Lemon Zest smiled, holding her hand forward waiting for a big high five.

"S...Su...Sunny Flare..." Sunny Flare answered shyly, she lifted her hand touching Lemon's hand.
Suddenly, Lemon grabbed Sunny's hand and pulled her closer, one arm of each on their chests and Lemon's second arm around Sunny.
Sunny was blushing hard, very hard, she could smell Lemon's perfume and fell her own heart beat like crazy.
"Hi Sunny! Nice to meet you." Lemon Zest said, tapping Sunny's back.
"I noticed that you always come here but you seem to be really sad, is there a problem?" Said Lemon Zest with a sad face.

"..." Sunny trembled. 

"Hey don't worry, i'm not going to hurt you." Lemon Zest said, giving her a tap on the shoulder.

"I...i just like skating, ...but I don't have one..." Said Sunny Flare, dropping slowly her head."I want to learn how..."

"I can help you if you want." Said Lemon Zest, letting Sunny go and dropping her skateboard.

"It's easy to learn how to ride a skateboard, come here and take my hand."Said Lemon.

"I'm not sure..." said Sunny Flare.

"Come on, if I can do it then you can too." Lemon said while putting her headphones on and taking the skateboard to go skating around the park.
She made awesome tricks like flip rotations, standing on the bench with her hand and grinding it.
Sunny was mouth open, she admired Lemon, her green hair flowing around her face while she did awesome skateboard tricks.

"Waouh...How does she do all those skating tricks in seconds?" Thinked Sunny.

"Awesome huh?" Lemon grinned.

"You were awesome!" Shouted Sunny.

"I know, want to try?" Asked Lemon.

"Ok!" Sunny was confident, Lemon said that she could do it too.

"That's the spirit! Come here!" Said Lemon Zest's as she helped Sunny getting on the skateboard.

"Now, don't let go of my hand okay? I'm going to run slowly around the park and you're gonna try to control the skateboard movements ok? Don't worry, if you're scared or something just tell me ok? Asked Lemon.

"No problem." Sunny Flare answered. She trusted Lemon Zest.

Lemon Zest started running around the park holding Sunny's hand.

Sunny was shaking. She tried to move every single part of the skateboard and slowly started to control it.

"There you go, that wasn't hard was it?" Said Lemon Zest.

"No, it's very simple in fact." Sunny answered. 

"Now, I'm gonna let you go and you will start to skate by yourself ok?" Asked Lemon.

"But what will happen if i fall or hit a wall, i'm gonna be hurt!" Said Sunny has started to hug Lemon's arm.

"Don't worry." Said Lemon Zest as she gently caressed Sunny's hair, making her blush."I'll be behind you ready to help you if you do something wrong."

Hours passed, the two girls were still practicing.
Sunny was so happy, she learned how to ride a skateboard. She wanted to learn more.
She turned to Lemon Zest who was staring around the park

"I think it's time to go home, our parents should be worried " Said Lemon Zest.

"Oh... already?" Said Sunny Flare with a sad face.

After weeks of waiting, boring days and hours of practice, skateboarding with Lemon Zest felled like just only a 5 minutes school break. She was so disappointed.
Suddenly she fell of the skateboard, realizing that she was still on it.
Lemon Zest reacted like a professional and grabbed her before she hit the ground.

"Pfiou, that was close." Said Lemon Zest."I told you, i'm ready to help you." Said Lemon with a smile.

Sunny's checks were red and her heart was beating like crazy, what was this feeling? 
Lemon only saved her from falling, she found her hair pretty, Lemon was very nice to her but she didn't understand this feeling, so she tried to not think about it.
Sunny then put a sad face has she remembered that it was late.
She looked at Sunny and noticed that she was a little sad, then she got and idea.

"Hey, here. This is for you." Lemon Zest said. Handling her skateboard.

"For me?!" Said Sunny Flare. Taking the skateboard with her two hands.

"Yup, now you can skateboard where you want and if you need skateboard lessons I will be happy to help you." Said Lemon Zest putting her hand on Sunny's shoulder.

Without thinking, Sunny hugged Lemon as she cried.
Making also Sunny's heartbeat increase.

"Thank you, thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Said Sunny Flare." But...why?" Asked Sunny. Looking at Lemon Zest's eyes.
She found them like the prettiest thing she saw in her entire life. 

"Because we're friends right?" Said Lemon grinning.

"Friends?" Sunny's eyes lifted up.

"Yup, well i gotta go bye!" Said Lemon Zest as she walked back to her home leaving Sunny Flare and her new skateboard.

"Friends..." Said Sunny has she looked at her new skateboard.

This was definitely the best day of her life.
Sunny Flare was getting ready for school, she packed up her books, attached her technologic bracelets and ate breakfast.
She took her skateboard has she headed of to school.

"I wonder what Lemon Zest will do this afternoon?"thought Sunny."I hope that she we could go to Spaceland and play some arcade games, it could be a great idea." Hoped Sunny.

Lemon didn't spend time with her since a month. She didn't understand why.
After a few minutes she arrived at school. She putted her skateboard in her locker and started looking for Lemon. 
It was easy to found her, she always waited her in the class room. It was the right thing to do since Lemon Zest was almost late every day in school because she stayed up every night playing PS4, Sunny couldn't blame her, she also played with her every night. 
But recently she hasn't​ played with her either.
She found her class and entered looking around the class to find Lemon.
Surprised, Lemon wasn't inside, that made Sunny's head to go on crazy mode.

"Maybe she is sick? Did she forgot to put the alarm? Did she forget that she had school today?" Sunny thinked, making her brain overheat with such possibilities.

Suddenly, she heard giggles from the class door, recognizing the voice from the girls she sighed in relief, it's was Lemon Zest and Sour Sweet.
She waved her hand to Sour Sweet and then gave a big hug to Lemon.
Lemon only tapped her back with one hand.
Sour Sweet look at Sunny and smiled.

"Hey Lemon! How you doing dearie?" Asked Sunny with a big smile.

"I'm good, I was talking with Sour Sweet when she reminded me a joke I heard." Said Lemon Zest while putting an arm around Sour. Sunny could swear that flammes were inside of her chest.

"Hey! After school you want to go to Spaceland? We could play arcade games in the Astrocade." Proposed Sunny.

"Actually..." Lemon rubbed the back of her head." I can't go."

That made Sunny's heart break."Why?!" Said Sunny Flare with a sad face taking Lemon's shoulders.

"She's going shopping with me, I need new clothes for Rarity's special summer song." Said Sour Sweet. Leaving Sunny Flare stunned.

"Were gonna also do other things like drink milkshakes, look at the videogames store and watch a movie." Said Lemon.
"Why can't you ask Indigo to help you instead?! She's stronger so she can carry more things for you!" Said Sunny trying to calm her voice down.

"Indigo's busy with the Shadowbolts football team." Said Sour Sweet with a grin. She loved seeing Sunny's side go crazy.

"Then...then... Sugarcoat!" Said Sunny desperately.

"No." Said Sugarcoat who joined the crew.

"Sorry Sunny, don't worry we'll catch up another time ok?' Said Lemon tapping Sunny's shoulder.

She couldn't take it, another day without Lemon? Did she do something wrong to deserve this? She didn't Know. Trying to make a smile she said,"Ok."

The school ring bell sounded, the crystal prep students were slowly sitting in their places. 
Sunny was destroyed on the inside. What could she do? Play some videogames? No, it's not much as fun without Lemon. Go to the mall? No, she could cross paths with Sour and Lemon, she thought that could be creepy. Out of ideas, she just decided to go home, do her things and going to sleep.
She waited in front of her locker waiting for Lemon to just wish her a good afternoon. She spotted her and waved her hand to her, Lemon Zest was about to reply but heard Sour.

"Lemon! Let's go!" Shouted Sour.

Lemon putted her headphones back on and went to Sour.

"Bye..." Said Sunny, looking at a window.

Getting on her skateboard, she returned to her home.
She was thinking, what could go wrong between Lemon and Sour? 
"Go shopping? That's something best friends do."
"Drinking milkshakes? Something best friends do."
"Go to a videogames store? That's something Lemon loves to do! Oh no!"
"Watch a movie? That's something.... LOVERS DO!" Sunny was on fire.

"That's why she hangs with Sour Sweet..." Sunny was crying.

"Calm down Sunny, why would Sour like Lemon? They're just friends, I'm sure she has no reason to like Lemon. Or maybe Lemon likes Sour?! Calm down girl!" Sunny thought out loud. Luckily she was alone.

After a few minutes, she arrived at home.
She made lunch and then sit on her bed, Sunny's parents weren't home because of the summer vacation, they wanted to make more money so they got jobs on summer in another country. Sunny was a big girl, she could take care of herself. 
"What can I do?" Thinked Sunny. Lemon and Sour were not available, Indigo was training for the next Wondercolts and Shadowbolts match so the only friend that was left of was Sugarcoat.
She took her phone and sended a message to Sugarcoat. She waited...*ping* she caught her phone and looked at the text.

SUGARCOAT: I'm busy, I'm with Fluttershy taking care of some dogs.

"Grrrr!" Sunny groaned while laying down on her bed. 

"Well, going to Spaceland alone can't​ be that bad." Said Sunny. She tried to at least have fun for herself.
"Just like...old times." Sunny was depressed.

She took her skateboard and took of to Spaceland. It's was easy to get to Spaceland it's was next to crystal prep, but there was a little problem, the mall was also next to it.
Sunny arrived and then she got to the left side of Spaceland, there was the Astrocade.
Sunny looked at her favorite​ game: Rings of Saturn Basketball.

Top 3 players:

1st. Sunny Flare: 120
2nd. Lemon Zest: 105
3rd. Rainbow Dash: 90

She remembered the day when she got the first place, it was the first time she hang out with Lemon Zest.
Smiling, she bought for 30 cents, the Quickies candies, Lemon taught her that these candies gave her more agility with her hands so that she could keep up the pace while she played Rings of Saturn Basketball.
Taking some candies, she felt adrenaline from her hands and started the game.

"15...30...45...60...75...90...105...120! Time up!" Said the game machine.

"Yes! Did you see that Lemon?" Asked Sunny while she turned but the only thing she saw was some Canterlot high school people and some kids playing arcade games.

"..." Sunny dropped her face down. She decided to take a tour around the "Journey in the Space" section. She was only thinking about Lemon.

"I hate this..." Said Sunny to herself." Stop it! You stupid felling inside of my chest!"

"Grrr!! Stop It!" Shouted Sunny as she punched her own chest harder and harder.

"Hey, calm down Sunny." Said a mysterious man.

"Huh?" Sunny looked everywhere until she found an old friend.

"David Hasselhoof?" Asked Sunny, surprised."I can't believe it! It's you! It's been too long!" She hugged David, even if he was behind a counter.

"You are still working as a DJ?" Asked Sunny with a curious face.

"Yes, after many series, movies and songs, the 80's are over so I just keep this job of being the DJ of this place." Said David Hasselhoof as he putted another CD in the DVD player that was connected to the center of Spaceland, making a new song to be heard by all the people who were in Spaceland.
David approached to the phone making an awesome pose.

"And now a suggestion from one of my friends Pinkie pie with the song -Perfect day for fun-!" Shouted David Hasselhoof to the mic.

"Woohoo!" Cheered the people inside the park.

Sunny saw a pink girl jumping up throwing some balloons around the area.

"Whaou. People here love this kind of music, even me." Said Sunny while she let out some giggles.

David noticed some weird." Hey, were's your friend, you know, the green haired girl with those headphones that she could never forget." Asked while he did another pose.

"..." Sunny stopped giggling."She didn't come with me..." Sunny looked at the floor.

"Where is she?" Said David.

"She's in the Mall with another of my friends." Sunny was looking at the mall next to the school.

"Don't worry, is not the end of the world. You only need other friends, I'm not saying to say goodbye to Lemon Zest forever but you need other people. Like this, if you eat a gum, it's gonna be tasty at first but then, he will lose his flavour so you need to find other friends you get it?" Said David.

"Yes, it's just that I can't stay less then an hour without thinking of what could I do with Lemon..." Said Sunny while she cleared her eyes.

"You have a huge crush on this girl huh?" Said David.

"You can't tell anyone!" Shout Sunny while looking everywhere if she could see anyone spying on them.

"Don't worry, I won't tell." Said David as he raised his hands in defense.

"It's just that in crystal prep, the majority of the people don't like girls who like other girls, even the principal. It's just that if she knew that I had a crush on Lemon, I can't think of what could I do..." Said Sunny.

"Whaou you got a big problem on your shoulders." David was surprised.

"I know..." Sunny the started to cry again."I don't know if she likes girls."

"I'm sorry for you, I don't even know what to do in this situation." David was disappointed.

"Don't worry, I'm hoping that feeling goes away..." She putted the palm of her hand on her chest.

"Oups, sorry Sunny i need to go bye! I hope you'll find a solution." Waved David.

"Yes...I hope too." Tough Sunny as she got home.

“Kitt! let’s go were we are needed.!” Said David, as he pressed a button on his watch.

“Understood sir.” said a black robot with a red line on his screen coming

“AAAAAAHH! Kitt! Don’t scare me like that!” 

"Bye Sunny Flare! Don't worry: With a little luck, and a whole lot of skills! You can make your dreams come true!" Said David as he got on Kitt and started flying.

That brought nostalgia to Sunny, remembering  the first day she hang out with Lemon.
After a few minutes, she got home, did her homework, took a shower and got to bed waiting for 6 o'clock.
"I'm sure after a long day shopping, she will like to play some videogames." Tough happily Sunny."Why didn't I think of that." Sunny was hoping that Lemon will be online this evening.

She waited...and waited...waited...."Still offline?!" Sunny was sad, but she refused to give up!
She took her phone and texted Lemon.

SUNNY FLARE: Hey Lemon! Want to play some Overwatch or Watch dogs 2? We can play more things that you like :)

She waited for an answer...*ping* Sunny took her phone rapidly and look at the message.

LEMON ZEST: Sorry Sunny I can't, I'm doing my homework with Sugarcoat.

Sunny Flare was mad, like the flammes of hell feed her anger."Why she didn't even thinked about doing her homework with me?! Ooohh I get it. He he." Sunny giggled as she put her hand on her head and texted.

SUNNY FLARE: Good one Lemon you got me, you are doing your homework.

LEMON ZEST sended a photo.

Sunny was shocked, it's was a photo of her and Sugarcoat on her room with books and pages.

LEMON ZEST: Heu Sunny I need to get back to work good night.

Sunny couldn't believe it..."Does she not like me anymore?" Sunny's lips trembled."I...I..." She cried hard.

It's more then a month that Lemon hasn't been available to her."Whyyyy!!!" Sunny punched the wall making a little fist mark.
She cried for hours, Sunny didn't know what to do. Depression took over her like a dark monster. Her heart was shattered into a million pieces, she didn't care anymore, she just wanted to sleep.
