//------------------------------// // A New Start // Story: My Little Pony: Equestrian Destinies // by TheEpicKyurem //------------------------------// The Friendship Express slowed down as it approached Ponyville station, before coming to a complete stop. The doors of the train opened, and out of one of the cars came a set of gray hooves. They belonged to a pegasus stallion, who looked in the direction of Ponyville, giving a small smile. He had a light-blue mane with a single yellow streak in it, and his tail was the same color, only there was more than one streak in it. Walking off the platform, he ruffled his wings a little, stiff from the train ride. They were the same color as his coat, but changed to light-blue as they got closer to the tips. On his back was a gray saddle bag that had some spending money in it. Stepping off of the platform, he made his way over to the town. He soon approached the border of Ponyville. Taking a deep breath, he looked around at all of the other ponies: ponies that he hoped to be friends with. “So.. This is Ponyville,” he said as he walked down the main street, giving small nods to passing ponies. “Pretty peaceful place.” He continued down the road, before stopping in front of the Town Hall. In the distance, he could see Princess Twilight’s castle, its crystals gleaming from the light from the sun hitting them. A few pegasus ponies were moving clouds away from the skies above the town. Suddenly, the peaceful scene was interrupted by a pink blur crashing into him, knocking him off of his hooves. He landed on the ground with a hard thud, giving a small cry of pain. Getting up slowly, he rubbed his head, wincing. “Agh!” he said. “What the heck was that for?” Looking up, he could see a pink earth pony mare in front of him. She had a big grin on her face, and was bouncing up and down. “Sorry, but you’re the first new pony I’ve seen in a long time!” she said. “Well, it wasn’t really that long of a time because it’s been, what, a year or two since Cranky moved to Ponyville, but that’s still a good amount of time! Oh, I can’t wait for you to see the party I’m planning for you! It’s going to be so amazing! I-” “Stop!” the pegasus yelled, covering his ears, before realizing he was being a little rude to her. “Sorry, you were just talking so much and so fast, I couldn’t really comprehend what you were saying. But you should really watch where you are going!” “Oh, it’s alright!” the pink pony said, the smile still on her face, but she had stopped bouncing. “Oops! I forgot to introduce myself. My name’s Pinkie Pie! I’m Ponyville’s number one party thrower, and I love to see all of my friends be happy and smile! And since you live in Ponyville now, that means you’re my friend, too!” The pegasus stallion tilted his head in confusion. “Wait, you already consider me a friend?” he asked, before shaking his head. “Never mind that. The name’s Freeze. It great to meet you.” He stuck out his hoof to her, a small smile on his face. Pinkie took his hoof and shook it vigorously, making him move up and down. “It’s great to meet you too, Freezey!” she said, before finally stopping her shaking. “I’ve gotta go and get the final preparations ready for the party, but I’ll see you later!” With that, she bounced away, leaving a confused and dazed Freeze in her wake. Shaking his head, he looked in the direction Pinkie bounced off to. “I’m never going to figure out that mare, am I?” he asked himself, before turning the opposite direction. “Well, I better go and see if the movers got all of my stuff to the house.” With that, he walked down an adjoining street, towards the house that he had recently bought. The house was on a small street that branched off of the main street of the town. It was a one story house, with a little garden in front and a couple windows looking out. Getting out a key from his saddlebag, Freeze opened the door to his new home, looking inside. The interior was very clean, as is somepony had took the time to wash the whole place before they moved out. There was a small gray sofa near one of the windows, and a table in front of it. He made his way to his new bedroom, which didn’t have much save for a bed, a fan, and a dresser. “Well, at least they didn’t displace anything,” he said to himself. “I’m going to have to buy some more decorations, though. It’s kind of drab in here.” Suddenly, he got a splitting headache, and held his head. He gave a small shout in surprise and pain. “What the heck?” he said to himself, not sure why he has having such a bad headache. Soon after it started, he began to hear a voice in it, but it was too faint to make out. It sounded old and tough, like it was coming from some sort of wild creature. Soon after the voice spoke, however, the headache stopped, and Freeze found himself laying on the floor, his hooves over his head. “What in Equestria was that?” he asked himself, a little freaked out by the experience. “That was really weird. I never had something like that before. Maybe I should get myself checked out..” Shaking his head, he walked outside, hoping that the fresh air would help to clear his senses. Making his way off of the street he lived on, he saw that he ended up near the Town Hall. He at down on the steps of it, and began to think a little about what had happened. “What was that voice..,” he wondered. “And what was it trying to tell me?”
