The next day, Twilight and the rest of the gang took Spike to the Canterlot hospital to get his surgery. Spike's already in the physics room getting his surgery on his shoulder and his friends are in the waiting room. Twilight looked at the clock, it has already been an hour and ten minutes since Spike's been brought in. "Oh, I hope Spike's still alive.", she hoped.
"He will be, Twilight.", Applejack said. "The doctor promised us he'll be alright once the surgery is done."
"I just wonder what they'll do to him after they're done.", Starlight wondered. "I mean, they didn't tell us what they'll do to him after they're done."
"Yeah, poor Spike went through a lot yesterday, telling you about the cancer and you found out he didn't tell you the day he got the paper.", Fluttershy said.
"We all know that, Fluttershy.", Rainbow Dash said. "We're all just worried about him."
The doctor came out with some information she needed to tell Twilight and the others. "Girls, I have something to tell you.", she said.
"How is he, Doctor?", Twilight asked. "Is he still alive."
"The cancer has been taken out.", the doctor said. "It's just that-"
"You don't have to tell us what's up with him, we all know from the paper, you put Spike in a coma for some time for his shoulder to heal.", Rarity said.
"Yep, that's right.", the doctor said. She looked away. "We should have taken out that information from the paper."
"And how long is it going to take again?", Pinkie asked.
"One week.", the doctor said. "And don't you all worry, I'll take Spike home before you leave."
