			Twilight, Spike, Cadence, Shining Armor, Celestia, and Luna were sitting around a table in the party room in Canterlot. "Alight, Twilight," Celestia started. "can you please tell me what Starlight's been doing so far on this whole journey of being here and do you think she's ready once she's finished?"

"As for Starlight," Twilight started. "she's been making new friends such as Maud Pie, and I do hope she's ready to leave once she's finished. She's been living with us for years."

"That's nice to hear, Twilight.", Shining said. 

"Also, Spike's been wanting to tell you something that he's been keeping away from you, Twilight.", Cadence said.

"You kidding me?", Twilight asked. "Spike didn't have anything to keep from me, we've doing fine for months."

Spike's ears perked down. "She's right, Twilight.", he said. "Should I tell him, Celestia. Should I show her that paper I got from the hospital?"

"What paper?", Twilight asked. "Spike, what are you talking about? What is he talking about? I don't get it."

"It was something horrible he's been wanting to tell you for a while.", Luna said.

"You know what it is, right, Luna?", Spike asked.

Luna nodded.

"What's going on?", Twilight asked.

Spike's eyes started to tear up. "I... I got cancer.", he admitted.

Twilight's eyes widened. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite get that.", she said. "You got what?"

"Cancer.", Spike repeated. "You still have that paper, Shining?"

"Yes, it's here.", Shining said, revealing the paper. He handed it to Twilight.

Twilight opened up the paper and took a look at it. She didn't believe it. "Spike, you're not funny, it has to be-", she started, when Spike interrupted her.

"I'm not trying to be funny, Twilight!", Spike explained. "It's very serious crisis, I would never joke about that!"

Twilight began reading the paper. It said, Your friend has a simple case of scale cancer on his right shoulder, it transformed into much due to his dragon years. It's spider webbed all around the muscles, rendering him to be paralyzed or worse. We need to make sure he has surgery until the end of the month or he dies. The Surgery will go on for an hour. We will put him in a coma after we're done and give his shoulder some time to heal.

Twilight closed up the paper. "Shining, is this true?", she asked her brother.

Shining nodded.

"Why would I lie to you about that, Twilight?", Spike asked.

"How long have you known?", Twilight asked.

"Three days.", Spike said.

"And you're not going to tell your own best friend?", Twilight asked.

"No, Twilight, I didn't want you in a panic.", Spike said, with tears in his eyes. 

"In two weeks, the shoulder will be worse by noon.", Celestia said, about to cry.

Twilight took a look at the paper again, then she looked at Spike. "Are you sure it's not a joke?", Twilight asked.

"I'm not joking, Twilight.", Spike sobbed. "Does it look like I'm joking?"

"The cancer is active which is eating his flesh.", Cadence said, with a tear rolling down her face. "That's why they have to cut it out."

Twilight wiped a tear off her face and hugged Spike tightly. "Spike, I'm so sorry I didn't believe you.", she sobbed. She let go of her embrace. "Do the girls know?"

"Yeah, they're in the hallway.", Spike said.

Twilight went to the hallway to find her friends, Starlight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity. "Girls, did you know about this?", she asked, revealing the paper to them. 

"Of course we did, Twilight.", Rainbow Dash grumbled.

"He showed us that paper the day he got it.", Applejack said.

"And he didn't even tell me about this.", Twilight said.

"You weren't there with us when he showed us.", Fluttershy said.

"Cancer is one serious problem.", Pinkie said.

"For a dragon per say.", Starlight said.

"I just can't believe that he didn't tell me when he got this paper.", Twilight said.

With tears in Rarity's eyes, she ran up to Twilight and hugged her. "Spike didn't want to tell you before, because he didn't you in a panic.", she sobbed.

"I know, Rarity.", Twilight said. "I know. It looks like we'll have to take him to the hospital tomorrow, so he can get his surgery. Cancer can really attack your body pretty bad."

"Twilight don't get mad at us if-", Starlight started, she was cut short when Twilight interrupted her. 

"I'm not mad at any of you, I'm mad at Spike, because he didn't tell me about this.", Twilight said. "We're going to have to make an appointment."
