One thousand years ago there was a land in which peace reigned supreme. The creatures that lived on this land were a race of equines sentient in nature called ponies. There are three types of ponies however.
The first are the Unicorns who specialize in their ability to cast spells.
I looked to the next page to see a picture of a Unicorn casting a spell of some sort. I then turned the page again continuing to read further.
The second are the Pegasuses of which unlike the Unicorns are known as masters of flight. They are also known for their ability to walk on clouds and control the weather at will.
And just like with the Unicorns I looked to the next page to see a picture of a pony with a pair of feathered wings on their back looking ready to take of at any moment. I turned the page.
Finally there is the third race. The earth ponies. Unlike the Unicorn and the Pegasus the earth pony does not have a Horn or a pair of wings. Instead the Earth ponies are known for having great strength even colossal in some cases.
I then looked to another picture of a dark blue pony with a red mane, with an eye patch on their right eye. This pony had no wings or a horn. But I did notice that this pony was lifting a boulder looking about 5 times their size on their back. I turned the page again.
These three races lived together in harmony helping each other when ever one of the races had tasks they couldn't do but the other race could. The land in which they all lived in was a place known as Equestria. The land of Equestria in which all three pony races lived in is ruled by two sisters. One sister gifted with the power to control the sun and the other sister gifted with the power to control the moon. Together these sisters bought Day and Night to Equestria as its Rulers. There names were Princess Celestia of the Sun and Princess Luna of the moon.
I then looked onward to the next page again seeing a picture of..... of ...... I scrunched my glowing yellow eyes at the image noticing that these two ponies had both a pair of wings and a horn. The pony on the right was white and the pony on the left was a dark blue. I looked else where in the book but I could not find anything about a fourth race. Feeling a bit unsatisfied I read further.
Together the sisters made sure that Peace was kept in their land until one day tragedy struck. One of the sisters, Princess Luna had grown to have resentment over time to her sister Celestia because she felt that their subjects desired the sun and the days it brang more than her Moon and the Nights she brang with them. Eventually all of the anger and rage inside of Princess Luna broke free causing her to become the Alicorn known as Nightmare Moon.
Alicorns...... that is what they are.
For a long time Princess Luna or Nightmare Moon would wage war with her sister in her attempt to bring Eternal Night to not just the land they ruled but the entire world. This was a concept not unfamiliar to us heartless. She had let anger and rage consume her leaving her open for the darkness in her heart to take hold.
Finally in the end Princess Celestia used 6 ancient artifacts against her sister sealing her away in the their moon. These artifacts were called...
The Elements of Harmony.
Princess Celestia grieved for her sister from that day onward but even while she was grieving she gave her all to make sure that peace returned to the land of Equestria for many years to come. As for the elements of harmony. She had them sealed away after her victory so that they would not fall into the wrong hands.
The peace however did not last. A thousand more years had past and Nightmare moon had once again appeared in the land of Equestria. This time she had managed to seal Celestia away. Although Celestial was sealed away. Nightmare Moon was still defeated. 6 pony's 2 of each of the 3 races managed to find and wield the Elements of Harmony once again as their new bearers. And with their power managed to free Princess Luna from the darkness that had took control.
These elements sound very dangerous to the heartless.
With Princess Luna in control of herself once again her sister Princess Celestia reappeared, freed after Nightmare Moons power faded. Princess Celestia forgave her sister glad that she had returned freed of the darkness possessing her. From then on ward the sisters ruled Equestria once again.
I then turned the page again only to see an image of 6 crystals each a different color surrounding the royal pony sisters. Studied it for a second and looked on ward only to see that from then to the pages on ward the book was blank.
I looked at the image again strangely fascinated. I traced my claw across the image in wonder of the world I had not seen yet.
Equestria.... I thought.
Suddenly the book leapt out of my grip taking me by surprise. It landed a few feet away as the pages inside started to turn rapidly. My eyes widened in fear as I saw a large amount of bright light being emitted from the book and only getting bigger.
I ran but my escape was in vain however as the light encompassed my vision and all of my surroundings....
