The remains of the Nightmare Forces' Fortress
Two lone, cloaked figures walked through the rubble of where the Nightmare Forces' Fortress once stood. "Blast!", the young man among the two cried out! "Someone beat me to defeating Night Terror!"
"Calm yourself my son.", the other, a woman said. "There will be other chances for you to prove yourself. But now, let us return home."
"Very well mother.", the young man said with a scowl as he and his mother vanished through a portal back to Equestria. There will be another chance for glory and fame soon enough. A chance to be like my father.
Ponyville
Burst Stream had trouble sleeping that night. "Nnggggh.", he groaned as he ventured to the bathroom and ran the sink. He splashed his face with cool water in the hopes it would get him to sleep faster. He then noticed his upper arm glowing. The light seemed to be coming from what looked like a crest similar to Blue-Eyes. The monster spirit that had materialized from his Duelist Arms. Suddenly, the dragon spirit appeared before him. "Blue-Eyes?!"
The dragon spirit nodded. "You have done well to assemble your team Burst. But more heroes remain to be awakened."
"So...how do I find them?", Burst asked.
"They will come to you. As all the others have before. When all ten of you gather, your team shall be complete." And with those words, the spirit of Blue-Eyes faded away. Burst was intrigued by the dragon spirit's words as he found himself drifting off to sleep.
"And here I thought our team was complete with six.", Burst said as he let out a yawn. "I guess...it takes a lot to be a hero." Burst fell asleep. Whatever lie ahead, he and his friends would face it when the time came. However, Burst's solitude was soon interrupted. A dark blue mist slithered through the crack under his door, and a spirit materialized from it. Nightmare Moon's spirit looked down at Burst.
"Hard to believe so much has happened since I saw you last.", Nightmare said as she looked down at Burst while he slept. "So much power is within you. Yet you look so peaceful. Those dragon wings suit you like this." Nightmare smiled down at Burst, and reached out to touch him. Only for her hand to phase through. "Such a shame that I must keep you waiting. I look forward to when we shall meet again Burst Stream. Until then..." Nightmare kissed Burst's forehead despite not being able to actually perform the action. "Sweet dreams." Nightmare resumed her mist form and exiting Burst's house and returning to the Castle of the Two Sisters and resuming her spirit form. She then gazed at the moon. "I really should thank you for what you've done for me."
