Well, Dashie went down to Canterlot; she was lookin' for a rose to buy
She was in a bind
She was falling behind
For her very first date with Twi

When she came upon a flower stand with a rose way in the back
And Dashie jumped on the counter top and said "lady lemme tell ya what—

"Now you've prob'ly ar'dy guessed by my super-awesome tux
I've got a hot date
Can't hardly wait
And I need a rose for luck!

"Lilly, I see your selection here, and I admit it my bits are few
I know it kinda blows
But I need that rose
So I'm gonna take it from you!"

The cashier said "My name's Roseluck!" as she gave an angry glare
when Dash barked "yup"
Scooped the red rose up
And took back to the air!

Dashie you better hit the skies if you're gonna be on time
Your princess is in Ponyville with suitors all in line
Your love life is in jeopardy—it's rattlin' on its tracks
'Cause if you're late, she's dating Applejack!

Rainbow's teeth clamped on the rose as she flew with all her might
She knew if she reached Twi on time everything would be alright
When she heard the guards shouting behind—they sounded really pissed
Then she flapped her wings with all her might and it sounded something like this:

"Stop! Thief!"

"Get back here!"

"You can't outrun the law!"

While the guards were screamin' Dashie yelled "I'll pay you back in june!"
Then colors burst around them all as she sonic rainboomed!

Fire in the sky; Watch Dash fly!

Here and gone in the blink of an eye!

Rainbow of colors all around!

Gotta get to Twi at the edge of town!

Well Rainbow landed softly at the entrance to Twilight's
And a chill of fear poured through her veins as she knocked on that door thrice
When Twilight opened up the door she said "Dash? You're nearly late!"
And then Twi frowned as she looked around and said "Hey, where's your date?"

Red on her cheeks like a cherry bunch!

Got too excited when Twi said "let's lunch!"

Poor pegasus watching from the back!

As Twilight kisses Applejack!
