An Odd Day
"Today is such a beautiful day, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming, oh this such a wonderful day!" I said while doing my usual chores.
Oh my, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Fluttershy and right now I'm feeding my animal friends and enjoying this nice day, oh and sometimes Discord comes over for tea. Oh um I should go and see if Angel is hungry...
It turns out that he was and wanted me to make him a salad. Unfortunately I didn't have all the ingredients so I went to buy some at the ponyville marketplace, only to bump into possibly the scariest thing since that dragon I met, Gilda the Griffin! "Hey,Watch were ya going you dweeb!" she says once I bumped into her.
"G-gilda!? I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to get in your way..."I say terrified of the griffin and what she might say in response, I even hid my face with my mane.
Once I said that, Gilda glares at me for a little while and then all of a sudden her eyes go wide and then she freezes up in terror and then pales in fear.
"N-no this ....this can't be..."Gilda says horrified as if she saw a horrible monster instead of myself.
"Um a-are you ok?" I asked confused about her odd behavior.
"S-stay away from me you monster, stay away! I-I-I'm sorry ok!? Just don't.... don't hurt me anymore, please!" she said in total fear.
I was confused, I would never hurt anypony even if they were mean, I had no clue why she was acting this way, so I went over to comfort her.
Gilda then started to back up from me, she seemed even more scared now like if I was really going to hurt her once more although I never did such a thing even looked like she was going to take off any second the poor dear.
"Gilda, why are you afraid of me? I'm only trying to comfort you." I say kindly to her.
"Ugh Ok fine let me tell you" Gilda says as she sits down.
(flashback)
*Gilda P.O.V*
I was flying around, mindin' my own business until I came upon Ponyville, I figured that I'd see how Dash was doin' so I was headin' there 'til I noticed that you were walking around like if ya owned the place, now I obviously was curious and went over to see why you were acting all tough.
I decided to land so I could get a closer look and guess what? you didn't even flinch when I was nearby. It's like you knew I was comin' or something.
"What?, you ain't gonna hide or something dweeb?" I asked what I thought was you.
Next thing I knew you gave me this smug look and said in this really creepy voice, "Hello Gilda, beautiful day isn't it, birds are singing, flowers are blooming, I wonder what will happen if I had decided to hurt you....?"
I looked at you for a little while and then I laughed right in your face.
"Hah you hurt me?,in your dreams dweeb." I said not realizing you were not joking around.
Right then you grabbed me by my front leg and said, "You thought what I said was funny wasn't it? Let's see if you find this funny griffin!"
Right as you said that some black star thing appeared on your neck and I saw that your body was covered in some kinda dark aura like if you're possessed, it was then that realised I messed up. I saw that the same coloured aura had appeared on one of my back legs.
"What are you doing, what is this!?" I say now actually scared for my life and I'm not usually ever scared.
" REVENGE !!!!!"
That was the last thing I heard you say before I got beaten up badly.
I had gotten slammed a few times and then you started pummeling me with your hooves, I was then thrown into a wall.
"W-Why?" I had asked.
"Aww do you want it to stop? Well to bad~, This is what happens when pathetic beings like you... GET IN MY WAY!"
After you said that,You started laughing in a surprisingly cruel way, I had no choice to but to flee!
(end flashback)
*Fluttershy P.O.V*
"I-I barely was able to escape with my life..."Gilda said.
It was now that I noticed the bruises she had on her body, I felt really bad for her.
"Oh my,i'm really sorry that had happened to you. Will you be okay?" I asked Gilda. I was really worried okay...
"Yeah I'll live but I will never forget what you did to me."Gilda said.
"What do you mean I was taking care of my animals today." I replied.
"Wait a sec, I saw you here earlier today, if your saying that wasn't you then who did I get attacked by?" Gilda had said confused.
We then heard an evil sounding laugh nearby, I hid behind Gilda while she had gone stiff.
"That would be me, Empress Flutterscare!" An evil version of myself says before laughing once more.
I couldn't believe it, I thought I was just seeing things but no. She looked almost like me in every way, though her fur was a slightly darker shade of yellow then my own and her mane was a darker pink then mine, she even had a pair of fangs and her eyes were red. Just looking at her reminded me of the whole Flutterbat incident. What scared me the most was the dark aura that surrounded her making it hard to see if she was a bat pony or a normal pegasus.
"HOW,....How are there two of you?!" Gilda said surprised.
"I-I don't know,maybe Discord is behind this?" I said scared of this other me.
"You rang?" said Spirit of Chaos says as he appears out of nowhere as he often tends to do.
"Discord!? why is there another me?"I asked him.
"I have no clue as what your talking about my dear Fluttershy." he said.
"Discord! Tell me this instance mister!" I say in a stern tone.
He flinches then said"Honest, I really don't know, is she a twin sister I'm unaware of?"
"Ugh are you two pathetic idiots done bickering? I have a score to settle with the Griffin."the evil me now known as Flutterscare says impatiently.
Discord finally notices that my evil counterpart was standing right in front of us and he paled almost instantly.
"Now where were we oh yeah I remember now, ME KILLING YOU ALL FOR GETTING IN MY WAY!" Flutterscare says after laughing at Discord's reaction.
"Eep,somepony help!"I said feeling hopeless...
Hey you!,leave them alone!" a somewhat familiar voice says.
The pony who said that landed in front of us and spread her wings wide to protect us, I knew that the pony was female from the voice but what surprised me was that she also looked like me, her mane was pink like mine but hers had a redish pink streak down the middle of it,she also was in full Wonderbolt gear and she carried herself with air of authority.
"What!?, who is this faker?" Flutterscare said angrily.
"My name is Captain Flutterbold "Phoenix" Firewing and I will not allow you to hurt anypony or griffin!" she said.
I noticed that Discord had teleported away from the area.
"Ugh dumb coward." my cruel counterpart within my mind said.
"Fluttercruel be nice" I had said to her in my mindscape.
"Hey you guys okay?"Flutterbold says snapping me back to reality.
"Oh I'm ok thanks for helping us" I say as I smile.
"Cool and you griffin?" Flutterbold says to Gilda.
"Yeah I'll live, I better get going before things get ugly."Glida had said before flying away leaving me alone with my two counterparts.
When Gilda left I saw that Flutterscare and Fluttersky were arguing with each other. It was actually annoying to be honest, no offense to either.
"girls?"I wispered hoping to get their attention.
The two of them continue to argue with each other. I guess they didn't hear me.
"Girls?" I says a little bit louder but it still wasn't enough as they're still arguing with each other
I sigh then took a deep breath then yelled out "GIRLS!" as loud as I could.
"What?!" they both said simultaneously.
"Please don't fight, it won't solve anything, aren't we all the same pony in a way?." I say hoping to stop the fighting.
"Huh, never thought of that, we kind of are aren't we?" Flutterbold said.
"Except we all have a different role to play, I'm an evil Empress, Fluttershy takes care of animals which is dumb and you are the Captain of the Wonderbolts or something like that." Flutterscare says. I could have sworn that I head her say "not that I'd care." under her breath but I guess I was imagining things.
I just then remembered why I came to the center of Ponyville for and that was to get food for my animals.
"Oh my I just remembered that I have to finsh my grocery list, um can you two help me? That is if you want to..." I said.
"Sure thing I'm on break now anyway." Flutterbold said.
"What about you Flutterscare will you help me? I mean if you want to that is..." I say to Flutterscare although she still scares me a little.
"Hmm, I've always wanted to see what this word has to offer when it comes to food.., meh why not? It'll keep me busy." when Flutterscare said that, I noticed that the dark aura that was around her had dissapated and I finally got to see her cutie mark which was three dark pink bats.
"Flutterbat?"I said confused.
"Heh,I Haven't been called that name in a long time to be honest." Flutterscare said, showing me her bat like wings.
I guess she was a bat pony, I couldn't see if she was or not because of the dark aura that was around her.
"Why change it?"I asked her.
"Because I needed to intimidate the weaker ponys, and Flutterscare was what worked"she said.
"Oh, what about you Flutterbold, where did you get the name "Phoenix Firewing" from?" I asked Fluttersky.
"The Wonderbolts gave me the name when I showed them the Sonic Flameboom." Fluttersky said proudly.
"Wow you must be a really good flyer to pull that off! I wish I was brave enough to do that..."I said
"Hey don't be like that, you'll conquer that fear one day." Fluttersky said.
"Thank you Flutterbold, I needed that."I said.
"Let's just get this list of yours finished already." Flutterscare said somewhat annoyed.
"Oh Okay sorry" I say as Flutterbold chuckles to herself.
"What's so funny!?" Flutterscare says out of annoyance.
"Nothing much now let's get movin' girls." Flutterbold says as she takes the lead.
I made sure to follow behind her while keeping a close eye on Flutterscare despite this today was a beautiful day, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming, This was really an odd day.... My only question is where'd those two even come from? I hope everypony can handle three Fluttershys for the time being.
