@all: Will you stop writing *yay* romance self inserts already?! Or at least put in some thought when you do? I'm tired with long lost humans appearing out of the woodwork and getting to be best friends with everyone (including gods)!
At the very least show some originality! All I have to do is replace the main character's name (and in half of the cases not even that!) to get the same story. And don't you PM me arguing that Euryala is the same. She isn't! She was included 3 volumes ago which prepared us for the events on Everhere. And also, if you think that you're as good as a team of writers that have been writing for three decades, well guess what—you aren't! (If you were I wouldn't be writing this!)
Can't you start with something simple? @MightyDragon writes trollfics like a maniac and even he provides some amusement! Just for once try to write something that isn't a romance. Go for tragedy, that's a much better choice!

That said (combined with Jade's comments) you girls really need to put in some effort. I am perfectly aware how difficult writing can be. (I was a terrible writer myself.) But I worked on my prose every chance I got. Just to be helpful here are a few basic hints about storytelling:
1) Introduction
2) explosion
3) conclusionFollow that and when you feel you can do better start reading the real stuff, okay? And just to give you an example:
It was pure accident that Scarlet appeared in Gumania. Her parents were low Equestria, as were her friend and everyone she knew. On her seventh birthday, however, fate decided to intervene. Desperate to impress her mother, Scarlet cast a spell beyond her powers sending her to this unknown land. She believed herself locked there forever. Refusing to trust anyone, she lived Day for day, thinking she would better just disappear, until the unthinkable happened: she found someone who saw her as a friend and helped her move along the labyrinth of magic and puzzles in her quest to find home. That someone was Molly Williams.
Okay, so the conclusion sucks, but you get the idea. ;)

They are fine. Unlike you lot they just happen to have a life and wanted to go sightseeing and enjoy themselves (instead of spending all their time curating story submissions). Simile had become a regular in all techno clubs (even got a few invites from cute guys she should totally take advantage of.)

I'll save you the trouble, Sweetie. For a while now SweetStuff and I have been working on a children's album which will also double as MCE's official soundtrack. There still is a lot of work to be done (it will contain a song for each chapter, as well as five additional songs that SweetStuff has written specially for her friends and family). It goes without saying that she who must not be disturbed (Lyra) is also helping out with some of the songs, as much as her condition allows, of course.
The song that will be available from next week is called "To My Friends" and is pretty self explanatory. I'll post it here a day before it hits the radio stations. With everything that's happened lately, I do hope it cheers all of you up, and my apologies for not being able to help with your latest trials *sad face*
