Twilight Sparkle fell out of the time portal with spike hanging on for dear life and saw a strange sight as she dropped towards the cutie mark map. An alicorn Sunset Shimmer falling out of another time portal with a strange looking bright blue changeling hugging her while screaming his head off and yet another portal with an alicorn Starlight Glimmer flapping her wings hard while clutching the tail of a screaming orange unicorn with a blue cape with her mouth and trying to keep him from hitting the table face first.
"Well that happened." Sunset Shimmer said as she laid there touching noses with Twilight and listening to Starlight Glimmer trying to spit tail hair out of her mouth.
"Yeah." Twilight said as she winced as Spike unclenched his claws. "Battling a vengeful unicorn across time and getting kick into alternate timelines repeatedly?" She asked.
"Yep." Sunset said before adding as the changeling got off of her, "You actually, you blame me for the destruction of your library in Ponyville during the fight with Grogar."
"Tirek destroyed mine, but I got the castle afterwards." Twilight told her before asking, "Where did you live if you didn't live in the library?"
"The Princess actually had a summer cottage near Fluttershy's that she used as a vacation home." Sunset said as she sat up and used her hooves to smooth out her feathers. "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza rarely used it anyways so why let it go to waste."
"Wait, Cadence is your princess?" Twilight asked as she got up with a confused look. "What happened to Princess Celestia?"
"Same thing that happened a thousand years ago, Solar Flare and Nightmare Moon used petrification spells on each other and ended the Burning Moon war by being the only villains to take themselves out." Sunset said with a chuckle as she summoned a glass of water for Starlight Glimmer. "You would think ducking wouldn't work twice, but it did and don't worry, it held them still long enough to use the elements on them."
"Yuck! For the record watch out for that trash world." Starlight said as she joined them. "Sunburst sat in something that tasted horrible, so thank you for the water."
"Trash world? Don't tell me it was another Flim Flam Brothers take over timeline." Twilight groaned.
"Nope, Blueblood sold out Equestria to a race of giant alien rats to use as a garbage dump, but the Flim Flam Brothers, a mad scientist Pinkie Pie, and our counter part there, Princess Fluttershy, used their junk to build a ship and complained to the Galactic Council to get them to stop." Starlight said. "Something about it being illegal to dump star drives on a pre-star traveling civilisation and the deal being void since Equestria was already listed as a protectorate of race of eight legged ponies who were not very happy with what happened. We left just as the first ships of the eight legged ponies were landing to help clean up the mess and help restore the planet as much as possible."
"Princess Fluttershy? How did that even happen?" Sunset and Twilight asked at the same time.
"Turns out using her special talent to understand and talk to alien animals that got accidentally dumped on Equestria with the trash and using that to learn an alien language was enough for her to ascend to become an alicorn." Starlight explained.
"Huh, I guess that would work, but don't you need some kind of magical artifact as a power booster to do it?" Sunset asked.
"Or hundreds of star drives with lots of leftover energy." Starlight said.
"So did you find out what happened to Blueblood there?" Twilight asked.
"Fluttershy said Discord, the male version of Eris in some timelines, always wanted a housemate in his chaos pocket dimension." Starlight said before remembering something. "Funny thing is something in the alien trash is resistant to magic including Discord's and the elements of harmony. Which is why Discord couldn't just snap his fingers and get rid of all of it."
"So you have Eris but not Discord?" Sunset asked.
"Yes, and you?" Starlight asked.
"Both, their twins." Sunset said.
"Just Discord." Twilight chipped in before grumbling, "She can't be any more annoying than Discord."
"Yes she can!" Sunset and Starlight said together before Sunset continued, "Two things make her more annoying and worse, P.M.S. and she can and will follow you into the public little fillies room. At least Discord stops at the door to the restroom and doesn't threaten every pony with being turned into chickens once a month."
"Princess Luna waited until it was that time of the month to send her after Catrina when she escaped from Tartarus." Starlight added.
"Wish Princess Mi Amore Cadenza had thought of that when Grogar escaped." Sunset said.
"We still had to deal with her cell mate, Hydia, who escaped with her and was smart enough to avoid being turned into a chicken and capture with a witch's brew that cured Eris's cramps." Starlight pointed out.
"Hmm... I wander if Zecora or any of the other members of the zebra tribe in the Everfree know something similar?" Sunset thought out loud.
"You have more zebras than Zecora in the Everfree Forest?" Twilight asked.
"We call it the Everfree Historical Nature Preserve and yeah, they built their village over where Grogar hid his bells and he enslaved them when he escaped." Sunset told them. "After we defeated him and freed them they decided to stay. Mostly they work as the newly reformed forest rangers with Fluttershy and the deer, sell potions and herbal remedies in Ponyville, and help with the restoration of the castle the Canterlot Royal Historical Society are doing. Turns out the Everfree is safer to live in than the jungle they had been living in."
"We call it the Everfree Valley ever since Princess Luna and Solar Flare's battle tore most of the area up and left a 20 miles wide, 100 miles long, and a mile deep forested valley with the castle on top of a stone pillar right in the exact center. Turns out the Tree of Harmony protected itself and the castle above it during the battle."
"Umm... Twilight?" Spike asked as he pointed to something.
Turning, the three alicorn were met with the sight of three other alicorn and a changeling queen. Only they were drinking tea and eating snacks while watching them. "Don't mind us, we're just enjoying the show in between killing the endless waves of zombies." An alicorn skeleton with Cadence's mane and tail said before noticing her hoof and leg. With a quick shake she released the form and became her usual pink self. "Sorry, I usually use my Death Heart form to infiltrate the hoard and find out the real numbers, strength, and if it's being controlled by the Necromancer Queens or just a wild hoard of zombies."
"I still think you should have gone with Broken Heart, but with Shining Armor alive and commanding Canterlot's Defences it doesn't really work." Queen Chrysalis, wearing green armor, said between bites of muffins. "How does Derpy and Dinky pack these things with so much love?"
"Have you seen the lengths those two will go for a muffin?" Celestia said as she summoned a fresh tea pot full of water and set it on her tail before transforming into Solar Flare so her fiery tail could heat the water. "I swear those two are obsessed."
"Trust me, they dream about creating the ultimate muffin recipe." Luna said in between licks of her ice cream as she sat there wearing her Nightmare Moon armor. "Imagine a muffin so good it can turn any villain good and turn a zombie permanently back into a normal pony, griffin, dragon, etc. after one bite."
"What?" "How?" "Huh?" Twilight, Sunset, and Starlight said with perplexed looks.
"Funny, you three had the same reaction when they fell out of the portal and onto that table that just appeared out of nowhere." Chrysalis said with a laugh. "Especially since we could still see our undead Necromancer Queen versions of them fleeing back to their citadel at the same time."
As she laughed the portal reopened above the confused alicorns and their companions, who quickly scrambled to their correct alicorn's side just as they all got sucked up into the portal and the table disappeared. "Well that was an interesting distraction." Celestia said as she passed out tea to the others.
"Almost makes me wish it had worked out with them as our students." Cadence said before taking a sip of her tea.
"Obviously it did work out somewhere else and maybe if we retrieve the elements from the old castle with Crissy replacing Starswirl, Eris behaving herself as laughter, and unwavering Shining Armor as loyalty it can work out here as well." Luna said.
"Well then," Chrysalis said as she got up and motioned the others to get up, "a toast, to Elements and soon to be new friends, even if we have to slap them with a face full of rainbows!"
"To the Elements!" They all toasted before finishing their tea and heading back to Canterlot.
