Spike grumbled down the hall towards his room. "Twilight I'm going to be in my room for the whole day while the girls are over watching your stupid show OK?" Spike yelled down the long crystal halls, no reply. "Ugh, I'm taking that as an OK!" Spike turned around and slammed the door behind him. He walked over to his little bed and hopped on, simultaneously making the covers bounce up and around him into a cozy little dragon-burrito. He pulled an arm out from his blankets and grabbed a nearby comic. "Oh man" he groaned, "I wish for one Saturday I could watch My little Human on time, the girls always spoil the episode for me before I can watch it, for once could they watch it somewhere else?" Spike flipped through the comic which he had admittedly read over six times already.
Twilight burst into his room, "SPIKE! Have you seen my PJ's? The girls and I are going to watch the show at Rarity's boutique tonight and we are all staying over there."
Spike having fallen out of his warm cocoon looked at Twilight with angry eyes, but then her words sank into his brain. 'Twilight is going out tonight to watch the show at Rarity's! This was his day he would be able to watch in peace and not feel ashamed in front of all the others, especially Rarity, his sweet sweet Rarity, no, the show, none of those thoughts now.' Spike thought for a minute about Twilight's question "Uhh yeah Twilight I think I saw them in the laundry room you should probably go soon though doesn't your show start in half an hour?"
Twilight looked quizzically at Spike, "Spike how do you know when My Little Human comes on?"
Spike's eyes went buggy, "Um... I-I-I don't I mean, I-I mean You are always watching it with the girls so I just remember whenever you leave for twenty minutes that's when it's on." Spike said with an awkward smile.
Twilight smiled and shrugged, "Sure Spike." Spike breathed a sigh of relief, having almost revealed one of his most dear secrets to his almost-sister.
Twilight walked to the door as the knocking resounded throughout the castle. Twilight swung open the door and in jumped Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. "Hi, girls how are you? Ready for our slumber party a Rarity's?" Rainbow swooped inside the castle and fist pumped in the air.
"Yeah! I can't wait for this weeks episode, I saw the trailer, apparently this week the girls have to go to a town where everypony thinks that they are all equal and the same, freaky huh? I'd hate to go to a place like that!" Fluttershy chimed in.
Twilight giggled. "Hey, girls do you think everypony else would mind if we recorded it to watch later I want to check something before we start but I can't tell you what, it's a surprise!"
Pinkie Pie bounced up almost from out of nowhere and whispered at a volume the whole block could probably hear, "Is it Dragons? a Friendship Problem? Dragons with Friendship Problems!"
Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at each other with smug looks. "Pinkie do you ever make sense?" Rainbow joked.
"Hey, missy! Dragon Friendship Problems are nothing to joke about the dragons are very sensitive creatures isn't that right Spikey?" Pinkie Pie reached into the castle and came out with a very surprised Spike-Taco.
"Wha- how am I here? Twilight you did not cast a teleportation spell on me again because if you did I'll... Oh, Hi Pinkie, could you maybe stop pulling me out of random places abnormally far away from you?"
Pinkie Pie dropped spikes burrito-body, "Okie Dokey Loki! But first, are dragons super sensitive like I said?" she bounced away to a bush and pulled out a cookie to start munching on.
Spike looked at the five girls standing nearby waiting for his answer. "Nah we're not sensitive, were the toughest bunch around! Dragons are just rough, tough, awesome things!" Spike smiled triumphantly as all the girls snickered at his answer.
"But Spike you care about us and you love all of us right?" Fluttershy said softly behind the two athletic ponies trying to hold back their laughter as the smile ran away from Spike's face as he knew he had to answer the question truthfully.
"I mean, yeah I like you guys but I guess dragons aren't supposed to have big feelings for other ponies, we shouldn't have feelings for ponies at all but I am glad I do have you guys to care about and to have you guys care for me but don't tell anyone else I said this I have a reputation to uphold!" the girls all giggled, Spike frowned and turned around to go back to his room.
"Now Spike are you sure you don't want to come along to watch the show with us, you know you want to." Twilight joked.
Spike's heart rate became elevated because he thought the girls had figured out about his secret TV watching when Twilight was asleep. "Uh, no I-I-I just uh you know, had some cleaning to do around the castle!"
Twilight looked at Spike curiously and tilted her head, "Are you sure about that Spike usually you hate doing chores especially when you could be sleeping or reading your comics."
Spike mentally slapped himself and looked at Twilight, "Oh yeah I hate it but Big Mac might come over soon and I want to have stuff clean for that!" Spike smiled at his sudden cleverness.
"Ah reckon that ain't happenin' Spike, Big Mac has been in Appaloosa for a week and he didn't seem very happy about you ditching your plans for the last few weeks." Applejack looked at Spike with a half-smile and a look of confusion.
Spike's smile immediately vanished. "Oh, well he told me a week ago he was going to do something with me..." He lied, quite weakly.
"Yeah I'm pretty sure he wouldn't lie, Spike, he and I had a few run-ins with lies a long while back as young colts and fillies it nearly destroyed the farm and the Apple reputation." The girls all looked at Spike waiting for an answer.
"Oh my gosh! look at the time girls we have to run if we want to make it!" All the girls looked at the sky and saw the sun was almost in the middle of the sky. "Aw rats! Let's hoof it, girls!" As the girls, all ran away down the street Spike sighed. "Not today girls, not today." and with that, he turned on his heel and walked back inside the Crystal Castle and closed the doors.
