Day 182
I did not get much sleep with Sombra shouting threats and insults at me while trying and failing to escape his prison until he became quiet after I made him deal to get him a body. But when I woke up finally I decided to explore the cave some more before heading back. It took a while but with a mixture of crystal generation and echolocation that I forgot I had, I managed to map out the whole cave system deciding this place would be good embassy or trade route for the crystal empire and also finding a strange wooden staff in among the crystal that seemed to ooze magical power to the point that when I grabbed it I felt it try to fight me. However I wasn't having that and I sent my magic through the staff and consumed the power that was in it which caused it to change as rubies grew out of the top causing the staff to take a claw like shape allowing me to attach Sombra to it his lantern prison melding with the staff creating a scepter that glowed with an unnatural black light. I left the cave minutes later taking off quickly and breaking through the cloud cover with a quick fire blast and heading back to the Crystal empire. I roared as I got close signaling my return only to see Elytra fly up to meet me.
"Where have you been Drasa and why are you hurt?" Elytra asked her voice almost sounding worried as she look me over drawing my attention to some cracks in my chitin that hadn't healed yet.
"I was exploring got in a fight and lost track of time but that doesn't matter beside I think I found something the princesses might want to see." I made a dive directly at the castle landing on a balcony where everyone had gathered due to my roar. Which included Glyph and Light who was holding a black box with my emblem on it but I would deal with that later. I ushered everyone inside then I brought out the scepter standing it up in the center of the room we were in.
"It's been a long time Celestia and Luna." Sombra said drawing the attention of every pony in the room getting an interesting mix of reactions.
"HOW?!" Cadence and Shining armor practically screamed out.
"Well it's a tale." I said before I recounted what happened yesterday causing everyone to look at me like I was some sort of demon. "What?"
"Well moving pass that revelation Draza what do you plan to do with Sombra?" Celestia asked her face steeled along with every other pony as a very faint almost invisible glow came from her horn and a whole lot of killing intent fill the room.
"Well I did promise I would get him a body if he let me sleep so I guess I will honor that." I said placing my hand on the crystal table and letting my magic flow into it as my lings got ready for a fight along with Light who pulled out a hammer.
"ENOUGH!" Luna shouted drawing all attention to her. "Sister I'm not letting you start a war over this calm yourself he is not our charge and we have no right to govern his decisions. Now Drasa as your friend I will trust you but please withdraw from this promise."
"I'm sorry can not Luna but I can give you a chance to stop me. In fact let's make a game of it." I said pulling my magic back before taking a seat.
Luna face softened before she started to laugh. "A game, you sound like Discord but go on."
"I will delay my promise for a month and allow you to try any thing you want to steal the scepter."
"If you don't have it then you can't give him a body."
"Exactly, but make no mistake I won't make it easy."
"I look forward to the challenge." Luna got up taking her leave with the other princess following her with Celestia and Cadence yelling trying to figure out what she was thinking. everyone visibly relaxed as they left the room until I started to laugh.
"Well we won't be board for a while." I said out loud as I looked down a the scepter I just offered as a prize.
"Do I get any say in this?" Sombra ask when he finally felt safe.
"Do you have any power?" I asked in return which got me silence. "That's what I thought. Velger can you teleport this back to the castle." I asked for the scepter to vanish in a burst of flame.
"Done and done, anything else?" Velger asked with a smug look on her face.
"No I'm good."
"All right then I'm gonna see what makes the weird pink one tick." She said before following the ponies that had left.
"And I'll go stop her." Cadaia said before I could even ask, slithering after Velger at an impressive speed.
"Well then I guess I'll check out my new swords, Light." I took the case form Light opening to reveal two longswords one with a dark red-purple blade and the other with black blade with a purple edge. I looked at Light slighly confused for a moment which changed to total confusion when I saw she was about to cry.
"I'm sorry master I could not reforge the blade properly or make one from scratch." She said bowing. "So instead of giving you inferior weapon I made these with all my skill. I'm sorry I couldn't live up to your expectations."
I picked up both swords they were light and seemed to growl in my claws like they were waking up. I gave them a few practice swings and found them perfectly balanced as each swing flowed right into the next like it was natural. I looked at Light holding out the red-purple blade using it to lift her head. "Light I asked you to reforge my katana and forge it a partner, but what you have given me it two longswords that surpassed my best expectation. So I ask you, why are you hanging your head in shame when you should be looking your king in the eye with pride." I said with a smile with caused Light's eyes to shine as I move my sword from her as she now looked me in the eye crying black tears of joy streaming down her face. I let Light do as she wanted while I went to find a nice secluded spot to really try out my swords. After a while I found a large empty space far enough away from the city that no one would get hurt from any stray attacks. I created crystal pillar to use as target dummies as I really started to tap into both blades power. After an hour of testing and seventy destroyed crystal pillars I learned three things. One my swords could shoot waves or volleys of my hellfire and dark plasma depending which was swung, Two my wings needed to be changed to use my ruby needles more effectively in combat along with a way to dentate then at will, and finally three my tail might be too long I almost cut it off a few times while practicing. With those in mind I went back to get ready to head home tomorrow afternoon and visit the genetic library and gain some new abilities.
