A/N: Euresia is a character that does not belong to me but to Robipony I used the character without permission and I apologize, it will not happen again. It also takes place after Twilight visited Euresia.
The golden colored earth pony mare somewhat questioned herself, as to what she was even doing in the old Canterlot coxcombs.
However, a look back to the wagon she was dragging behind her reminded her of why.
Carrot Top trotted forth while gripping the handle with determination.
The mare spent some time wondering around. She thought she saw something behind her, so she looked.
Unfortunately, that look back, caused her to bump into a hard object.
Carrot Top let out an apology as she fell on the floor only to greeted by a stone statue of a pony.
Her mouth opened in terror mimicking the expression on the statute's face.
She quickly grabbed the wagon handle with her mouth and galloped away.
As she was running, she came across more statutes of ponies or other creatures she didn't recognize stuck in permanent fright.
As soon she saw a clearing, relief spread all through out her. However, Carrot was coming in too fast. She tried to stop herself, and saw that she was coming too close to one of the strange flowers that were planned there.
Carrot Top panicked trying her hardest not the crash into it.
'No, no,no no' she screamed in her head
Luckily, she stopped before she could touch it.
Carrot Top let out a sigh of relief.
A look a doubt came to her face. And she stood for awhile debating herself about something.
That was when she heard low hissing sounds. She tried to see where the source was but found nothing. It took every ounce of will not to flee and forget this whole thing , instead, she stood firm.
An annoyed feminine sounding sigh echoed all around her.
"Another pony?" The feminine voice asked irritatedly " What do you want?" The voice asked
"I would..." Carrot Top let a scared gulp and continued "would like to...make a request"
She added a "please" at the end.
The voice let out another annoyed sigh said sarcastically "Of course you would, why else would somepony be doing here?"
An earth pony mare, with a charcoal gray coat and golden mane, came into the light, however, was a little far from her, so the golden colored mare couldn't really see her. "Usually I would have a little fun with you, but I'm not in the mood" So far she was what the golden colored mare expected but she didn't seem that scary to her.
Carrot Top looked at her in confusion "So you're Euresia?"
Euresia was taken back no stranger ever knew by her name, they mostly only knew she was a Gorgony.
"Well yes actually...wait did Twilight sent you down here?"
"No, I'm...here..by myself"
Euresia's eyebrows arched and then looked around and sure enough, the mare was by herself no guards were anywhere in sight. The only thing the mare had with her was a wagon.
Euresia tried to look inside the wagon but a blue blanket was covering it.
She chuckled "Well how brave miss mare." she said in a mocking tone
She approach closer and circled around Carrot Top. It was then that Carrot Top saw the moving snakes acting as her hair. They started to hiss and fork their tongues out.
"So since you know my name, why tell not me yours ?"
Carrot Top had fought as against her natural instinct to run away from those snakes, all these eyes were looking at her.
"Ca..Carrot ..Ttt...top" She gulped
"I'm...I'm just a simple carrot farmer"
Euresia looked at her cutie mark and then at Carrot Top and then gave her look that said 'that's kind of obvious'
"So what does a simple carrot farmer want with me? Humiliation? Revenge? Turning your annoying neighbors into garden gnomes?" Eurasia amusingly said
"No...I.." Carrot Top bit her lower lip
Carrot Top revealed what was in her wagon by removing the blanket.
A sleeping, wheezing golden coat filly with a light golden mare with light green dots all over her, she was sleeping soundly in the wagon along with a basket full of carrot muffins.
"Oh no, no foals! Absolutely no foals"
Euresia started walked away
"WAIT! Please wait, hear me out" Carrot Top stared at her with pleading teary eyes.
Euresia sighed "fine"
"Her name's Nora, but everypony calls her Noi, anyway she has an incurable disease"
Euresia raised her eyebrow again "You know I'm not a doctor right?"
"Yes I know, you're a sculptor" Carrot Top said almost nonchalantly
"Hold on, how do you know so much about me? Is Twilight tellING EVERYPONY ABOUT ME!"
Euresia's eyes started twitching , she breathed angrily through her muzzle her eyes faintly glowing.
"Nooo wait ...I mean I live in the same town as her, but we're not close friends or anything. I don't think nopony else in Ponyville knows about you"
"So spill, how does a carrot farmer know about me?"
"Well as I said, Noi has an incurable disease that came out nowhere"
"It's the same disease as her mother had..."
"Oh you're not her mom?"
"Well yes I am now, I'm her godparent"
"Meaning that..."
"Her mother was my sister"
Carrot Top had tears running down her chin she flashed back to a mare with a slightly darker tone of golden hair. She was in terrible pain "Please, please" the mare begged
Carrot shock herself into reality.
"What was her name?"
"Bountiful Harvest, or Bonny for short"
"Hold on, her name was Bountiful Harvest ? But your name is Carrot Top, I don't claim to know everything about other ponies names but..."
"Well actually my name is Golden Harvest , but I ask others to call me Carrot Top, because Golden brings up bad memories.
"I see" Euresia then spotted the basket of carrot muffins. She was smelling them the whole time, and they smelled delicious. Her stomach let out a growl, she pointed at the muffins and asked "you mind?"
"Huh? Oh yeah sure go ahead" tossing the basket to her, Euresia then proceeded to pop a muffin in her mouth and let an involuntary 'mmmm' out
"Anyway I tried to go to every doctor, but I can't afford it"
"So I was desperate, I thought maybe the library would have the answer. When I went there nopony was around. So I looked around and found nothing."
"That's when I saw Twilight's diary just sitting there, so I thought I might as well look , after she is Celestia's student. So I thought maybe there would be something"
Carrot Top paused to see if Euresia was listening. Euresia started to pop the muffins in her mouth like popcorn.
"Then I found the recent entry, it was about how she met you and well you can take it from there"
"Alright, so wha do yo want me to do?" Euresia said with her mouth full of muffins "Mak a memori statute or somethin?" She swallowed clearing her mouth
"I mean couldn't some other pony do that. I can't be the only sculptor in all of Equastria"
"A memorial statue? No, what I want, is for you to turn her into stone"
"Excuse me?"
Carrot Top repeated the statement
"Are you serious? Do you hate her?"
"No, I don't I'm doing this to save her"
"You do realize, that petrification is mainly reserved for criminals of the worst kind"
"Blueblood wasn't a criminal though"
Euresia rolled her eyes and said almost sarcastically "I would beg to differ"
"You broke one of my rules, never question me. He broke the rules so he had to be punished"
"Sorry"
"There's reason why turning them into stone, is usually for criminals because it's not exactly pleasant"
"You're basically unable to move"
"Yes but it will reserve her correct? At lease until somepony finds a cure"
"Yes, in theory it would, but do you really want your daughter to go through that"
"That's why I asked Zecora to give her a sleeping potion so she doesn't feel it"
"Zecora?"
"Oh she's a zebra who lives in our town, she knows a lot about making potions"
"A Zebra huh? I don't think I've ever met one of those...anyway, wouldn't the potion wear off after while?"
"Then, I'll come down here and keep giving her potions, until they find a cure"
"So, how you know that the cure will ever be found? They might not even find a cure or it could found after we're both dead"
"Well I have to do something, you see..."
Carrot Top pointed at Nora "Her coat does not normally have those dots all over her fur. It's a sign of the second stage of this disease. It will start soon when it does, there's no turning back from that"
"As I said, Bonny had the same disease, I will never forget what happened"
"When Bonny was sick she was in consent pain, she suffered ever single minute, she begged, and pleaded for it to stop... and I...I"
Flashback
A slightly darker golden mare with dark green spots all over her was in a hospital screaming in torment. Golden Harvest took her sister's hoof "Bonny you can fight it please"
This had been going on for weeks. The spots on her were getting bigger and bigger and it caused Bountiful to be in pain and passing out from it. Doctors for every kind looked at her. However none of them were able to figured out what was wrong. Bountiful started to open her eyes
"Bonny you're awake" Golden said with relief
"Goldy, please kill me"
"What ? ... No I can't "
"Please ...I can't endure this torture anymore"
"Don't make me Bonny ...please"
Bountiful started repeating the sentence "Please, I can't, it hurts" over and over again
"Okay, okay I ...."
Golden garbed the pillow that Bountiful's head was on, Golden's whole body shook "Thank you Goldy, take care of Nora for me"
Golden nodded her head and took the pillow and....
End flackback
"I..." Carrot Top started to shake and cry falling down on the ground and covering her eyes with her hooves
"I had to kill her, Euresia, I...I have to live with that for the rest of my life"
"Sweet Celestia" Euresia responded in shock
"if nothing is done she will die before a cure is found. At this point, the doctors want to let her die so that they know what's wrong "
"Did you try to ask Celestia?"
"Yes, she tried to get the best doctors to look at her, she herself is trying to find something anything to cure Nora but, it's taking too long"
"I even overheard one doctor say there's really nothing else they can do"
"So you tell me what else I'm supposed to do? Watch her die. No! no she's still a foal, she still has plenty of life left to live."
"I.... I mean she might hate you once she finds out"
"I don't care if she hates me, all I care is that she becomes healthy and if this is a way to do, then I will try it"
"I...I don't know"
"Please, she..she doesn't have much time"
"I....no, I can't, I can't have that on my conscience, turning an innocent filly to stone"
Carrot Top let an angry snort "Oh but you rather have a dead filly on your conscience instead?"
"How do you even know that this will even work? " Euresia shot back
"I mean most of these other statues, the creatures inside are still alive. right?"
"Yes but none of them had any diseases...at lease none that I'm aware of"
"Yes, petrifaction will in a sense can maintain a body. It could even make it so they don't age, but I'm not sure it will stop a disease for regressing farther. "It's possible it will not work at all."
"But I have to try, it might work ...it has to.. I mean it will work"
"I.. don't...I don't want to do that again...never again"
Carrot Top whispered again "Never again"
"The answer's no" Euresia firmly said
Carrot Top hung her head when she saw one of those strange flowers, she grinned.
She garbed on Nora and pulled her on back "You know Euresia, it was a long way here. I'm a bit peckish, and you ate all my muffins. You mind if I ate one of your flowers?"
Euresia turn around and narrowed her eyes "You wouldn't"
Carrot Top smirked going closer and closer to flower intentionally lower her head toward it. Opening her mouth leaning closer.
"I will not do it, you can't make me!"
Carrot Top took a big chomp out of one of the flower
Euresia instantly became anger, however she tried to calm herself.
"Mmm, mm so good I think I'll have another"
Euresia was getting even more furious "Stop!"
"What? Am I breaking your rules? What are you going do about it? Snake breath"
Euresia was unimpressed with the non insult "Snake breath? Really?"
Carrot Top blushed, she was never very good at insulting ponies.
"I know what you're trying to do, just get out"
Carrot Top pouted "but these flowers arre sssooo good and I'm sssooo hungry"
"You know how precious these flowers are?!"
Carrot Top didn't listen but instead went take another bite.
She munched on another flower
"Mmm soo goo" she said with her mouth full
That time Euresia's eye glowed and well her snakes glowed as well. but this time she tried to stop herself but couldn't.
Carrot held Nora in her arms. She was still sleeping "Don't worry Noi , they'll find a cure soon"
So the mare got her wish. She and her child turned into one statue .
Euresia was pretty angry at herself. This mare knew her ability and also knew that she had a short fuse.
So what if another pony manipulated her like this again.
She didn't have the answer, she really didn't.
"DAMN IT!"
