//------------------------------// // Water Deity // Story: Equestrian Fanfiction // by Lise //------------------------------// Poseidon Earthshaker Deity, Dreamscaper, Chooser Ruler of all water, Poseidon never showed open desire to rule sky or earth, instead he conquered the humans' hearts. While all obeyed Zeus and feared Hades, Poseidon was the one they adored and loved. This constant source of adoration made the god forget himself and unwillingly transform more and more humans into puppets bent on his will... until the day he vanished. Siblings: Zeus, Hades Place of birth: Holy Olympus Divine power: Dreamscaping Follower: Bellucio Forsa Focus: Emotion "You've come a long way." Am I the only one who finds this creepy? Poseidon doesn't sound at all as I imagined him. I know Everhere is darker, but this is one huge turn. In what I read of Chronicles, it was mostly Hades who was the big bad. Poseidon was presumed missing and always kept hush hush. Now to learn that he was the one who actually tried to control Gumania...combining that with his killer-disciples I don't know what to think. S&S marketing definitely knows its job :) I can't help but think that Poseidon is what would happen if Cadance and Discord had a child. Love puppeting is terrifying. PaintDrop Well, can't say I'm surprised. There were plenary of hints in MCE. I didn't think it would be the case in the present reality, though. So far I assumed that when the crown was activated, reality shattered into three parts, each of which was the worst of a specific aspect: Zeus tyranny, Poseidon love/mind control, and Hades survival of the fittest. Seeing that Poseidon actually tried something before vanishing is... interesting :) On an entirely different note, I'm sitting here bored, writing from my therapist's waiting room. Seems there was an urgent case from Cloudsdale so I decided to wait an hour longer. I really wonder what we'll talk today. :/ RRBB @RRBB: Hope you get better <3 SweetStuff @SweetStuff: Err, okay. You realize that this is a condition, right? Going to therapy is to help me deal with my anger and other issues. Nothing will actually vanish. RRBB @RRBB: I meant I hope you feel better... SweetStuff @SweetStuff: I'm dumb. :/ Yeah, I hope I feel better too :) Sorry for that. Oh, and by the way. Were you able to drag your coltfriend to the site? This should be right up his alley :) RRBB @PaintDrop: Hmm... You know, this might change everything we thought we knew. Usually, when dreams are involved there's no telling what is real and what not, but here reality itself isn't real :) Actually, it's worse! All realities are real at the same time! @Luna: please tell us who came up with that idea! Was it S.Child? One of the writers? It's awesome! :))) PrinceEric Hello, everyone. I must admit, that Everhere has surpassed my expectations to the point I consider it nearly equal to the original. (By that, I mean the good chapters of the original.) There's a constant, almost invisible line that links the characters to the reader even wi all the mind-boggling complexity the story entails. We are presented with a mystery that has us guessing if everything we've gotten to accept in the last decades is in fact true. Having Vol 1 characters appear and act the way they did back when I read the first scrolls is both daring and frightening at the same time. Either the writers are going to try and link both stories (a nearly impossible task) or they have done their research extremely well. Either way, I'll read on. The TechNightling Keep in mind the world reality ;) There's nothing preventing the Everprince appearing and going "Original series? I was from there until the pesky gods closed it and changed reality to create this!" :) I doubt it will happen, but it's technically possible. Personally, I like the new Poseidon. Makes Euryala a much more in-depth character, and also illustrates how things could go wrong when wielding such power. I truly hope he gets reformed for the better. (I know, I know... I'm a softie.) Unrelated, I did an analysis of a Brush story in class. Five people started bugging about the author, half the class was convinced it was from a bestseller. (Forgot to tell that the assignment was to take an excerpt of a book anonymously and analyze it.) It was so funny. I might experiment with a few other authors to see the reactions I get. (I bet the boys will live RRBB :P) LightSparkle @LightSparkle: the irony. Go ahead, though. I'd like to see what happens. RRBB Mare, it's sure quiet without Max, Brush, and Jade. :( Talking about Jade, I blame him for burning that image of Poseidon in my mind. Now each time I read Poseidon, I imagine him in that sketchy outfit. It's bad enough that I imagine Blueblood each time I read Bellucio... now that the two of the, are likely to appear in a chapter. LyraHands @LyraHands: Steaming not M-M action? :P RRBB @RRBB: you make me spit my coffee all over the table... with five people looking. So much for reading this during work :) InItForTheShipping Poseidon is such a ninny! :/ All that power and he just sat on his divine ass and had they adore him. If I had that power things would be very much different! TrueSparkle @TrueSparkle: Orgies in the streets? :P RRBB RRBB... Must because we have a filter, doesn't mean you have to get creative. Please keep a civil tone. The TechNightling Sorry, Tech. You know I love you. :P Seriously, will try to cool it down. Is just annoying waiting for my stupid therapy session. I bet we'll spend the time talking about my crushes again :/ RRBB I thought you said it was helping? LyraHands @LyraHands: It is insofar that I don't feel the burning urge to break my legs or cry myself to sleep. Still feel rotten inside. :( Anyway, I think I must go. Ciao. RRBB Good luck.
