We have been trotting through a forest which seems like it's been forever. Finally the dense overgrowth is beginning to decrease allowing me and Caleb to see the daytime sky. We look up to see the sun high in the sky still rising. 
"Why isn't it I can't remember my past? Why? Why? Why?" I thought repeatedly, asking myself. 
I could only remember some parts such as an black and silver striped orb and my friend. I could also remember what I looked like as a human. 
"Shit!" I yelled as I tripped over my own hooves again somehow, still getting used to them.
In front of me Caleb was laughing trying to hide it. He failed at it as it came out in an outburst.
"You try and walking with holes in your legs," I said in a hurt look.
This made Caleb crack out even louder. I just rolled my eyes and contiuned trotting. After about 5 mins, I broke the silence asking how do you think we know each other.
"I have no idea," Caleb answered back.
"I guess maybe we were friends before," I replied.
"Mmmm," he mumbled back.
As he finished his 'sentence' we broke out of the forest into a clearing. Ahhh the sun, the beautiful sun it was difficult to see in the dense overgrowth. I looked up and saw it. I stared into it, something stupid which I shouldn't have done.
"Ah crap," I said to myself, as I got that annoying glare in my eye.
"Stupido," Caleb said in a smart ass way.
I just ignored him and stood where I was until the glare went away, then those annoying voices in my head hit again. I decided to take my mind off it and thought since we were in a clearing  that we try and use our wings. 
"Fine," Caleb replied simply.
I just rolled my eyes and tried to fly.
That failed epicly, well at least I got to a hover but for only about 5 seconds. I turned around to see Caleb struggling to even lift off the ground, and when he did it was only for about 2 seconds. After one fail after another to fly we just gave up and started walking again.


For about 5 minutes we thought about giving up trying to find anyone else, until we hit a town. All of a sudden my stomach started rumbling.
I thought as a tiny bit of memories entered my mind "Yes I'm starting to remember my life, but slowly, well at least it's a start. 
"I'm getting hungry," I exclaimed the obvious.
"Well i'm not I can eat grass, even though it doesn't taste the best," He responded.
"Well for some reason I tried to eat it and yet still feel hungry. Even the bits I managed to swallow," I replied with a shudder imagining of trying to eat the grass again. "Wait a minute, I think i'm remembering something about my 'kind. I have to feed on....." 
"Emotions!!!" Caleb said triumphantly.
And with that remark I looked up a bit and saw a green light encasing my jagged horn, sucking in some of the happiness Caleb was emitting. 
"Shit," I said trying to stop the feeding, I knew I was feeding on Caleb's happiness. 
Panicking I tried my hardest to somehow stop it which I finally did. Caleb just stood there swaying the slightest.
"Sorry ma- er pony," I said hoping that would cheer him up.
"Yeh yeh its.... alright," He replied sounding down.
After about a 10 minute lay down we decided that not going into that town would be the best idea. We were just about to leave when a MASSIVE explosion went off in the town. This is when the voices hit me.
"Capture this town, NOW!!!" I heard a female voice say.
"Quick before the guards come." Another voice was saying, this one sounded male.
BOOM!!! A green magical bolt hit this town, followed by another four.
"Where is this coming from," I thought. As I looked into town I saw that there were 6 others just like me in that town.
"Should we go into that town and help anyone," I suggested, knowing the answer beforehand.
"So let me get this straight, you see a town burning and being under attack from strange things, like you, and you want to go in there and help, what dafuq is wrong with ya," He explained in a sarcastic tone.
"Well........... Yyyyyyyeeeeessssss," I said stupdily. "I am one of them maybe they won't attack us,"
Caleb just stood there and facehoofed himself.
"You jinxed us," he replied simply. "This is a stupid idea but so is this whole world we are in, so if we are going to do this stupid 'expedition', lets just hurry up."
I heard Caleb muttering under his breath as we started walking off to the town. We slowly crept our way into the under attacked town to what looked like it's center, there were nothing alive to be seen. As soon as we did a magical green bolt just missed me and almost hit Caleb.
The Changelings had turned at us and one had fired, they were flying. The voices began yet again and I just stood there from shock and couldn't move.
"Stop," the female one orded.
"Look at him though he's different to us, he has red eyes a mark on his flank and he's not attacking that pegasus behind him who's looking at him in his normal form," the same male voice as before pointed out.
"He could be a mutant," A different voice stated.
"Who cares the," the male voice said. 
As soon as he finished what he said, he starting charging something from his horn.
"STOP," the same female voice ordered.
But it was to late, the Changeling fired the green aura charging around his horn. He then fired it like a bolt at us.
BANG!!! He had missed me and Caleb but hit the building behind us. I could finally control myself again and turned around to see the build falling right towards me and Caleb. I just stood there hopelessy knowing I could do nothing but watch. Caleb had tried to run but didn't get very far. I heard a loud sound of brick and wood hitting the ground and I could feel my back shatter and then all I saw was rocks in front of me going blurry. I just lay there under a weight on my back fading into and out of consciousness. The pain was unbearable.
"Take him and forget the Pegasus,"
"But wouldn't it be wise to take the Pegasus to,"
"No we don't have enough time, the guards will be on their way,"
A weight lifted off my back then darkness slowy crept it's way into my vision. I somehow managed to stay awaken whilst being lifted by two of the Changelings, but then all I could see was darkness which I was glad for to get rid of the pain.
