Midnight wakes up from his hospital bed, having a major headache, and removing some kind of machine from his nose. He looks to his left to see a bunch of flowers. He realizes now that he just woke up from a coma. Then all of a sudden, he hears a mysterious voice that said “Morning”. He turned to his right to see a pink alicorn with pink and purple hair.
“Um….who are you?” Midnight asked the mysterious pony.
“Oh, where are my manners? I am Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. But call me Princess Cadance. Everypony does” Cadance replied.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you and all but…..how long was I out?”
“About a year. That explosion really knocked you out”
“A year?! Wha-the Gala! Of course! How’s Twilight?! Did everypony made it out okay?!”
“Calm down! Everypony made it out okay. Twilight was right, you really do care for other ponies then yourself. Though a lot has happened when you were in a coma. Twilight and her friends faced Discord, the lord of chaos. She saved mine and her brother, Shining Armor’s wedding from the Changelings. But….I do have some bad news for you”.
Cadance hands over a newspaper to Midnight, the title saying “The Deadly Wolf-Spider, No More?”. He read it and it said how Wolf-Spider had saved the Grand Galloping Gala but got sent to the hospital. Everypony knows he is now. Midnight was shocked of what he saw in the paper.
“Wolf-Spider is Midnight Wolf?! Oh no! My career is over! What am I gonna do?! Everypony knows who I am, now!” Midnight said, freaking out.
Suddenly, Midnight hears a familiar voice that said “Yo-....you’re alive!” before realizing that it was Twilight that said that. Twilight ran towards Midnight and hugging him, with happy tears in her eyes.
“I-I can’t believe it. I thought I’ve lost you” Twilight said, before syncing her lips against his.
Midnight still couldn’t believe that he was in a coma for that long and he didn't blame Twilight. He would be surprised well if him and Twilight switched places. But before Midnight could say anything, a white stallion with blue hair walked into the room and said “So, you’re the infamous Midnight Wolf. Twilight has told me a lot about you. I am Shining Armor, her brother”.
When Shining Armor said that he was Twilight’s brother, Midnight departed from the kiss and instantly hid under his blanket, shivering in fear. He slowly poked his head from the blanket, still shivering in fear. Twilight asked why was he scared and he explained that I’d rather stay away from big brothers as possible because he knows how overprotective they can be for their siblings. Shining Armor laughs and tells him that he’s not gonna hurt him. Midnight comes out from the blanket, feeling calm and wiping the sweat from his face.
“It’s really nice to see you all but I still have a problem. What am I gonna do now? Everypony knows who I am, now” Midnight asked.
“Yeah, about that. While you were asleep, I’ve took my time and made you a new suit. It’s like a symbiote but I made sure that the user is in complete control” Twilight said, showing the symbiote that was in a glass jar.
Midnight just realized that he feels like a million bits. It must have been his healing factor that kept him alive. Even though Twilight made Midnight a new suit, she still told him that he needs to lay low for a while until they can get this sorted out. Midnight tried to get up from his hospital bed but Twilight stopped him.
“Midnight, you can’t just leave the hospital instantly, the doctors need to know and everything” Twilight said.
“Okay, fine. I just wanna get outta here” Midnight replied, groaning in the process.

When Midnight got out of the hospital, he got really annoyed that he had to be in a wheelchair. Besides that, he’s really happy that he’s out of that hospital. Though he did worry of the fact that Twilight and her friends faced Discord and the Changelings all by themselves but he was in a coma for a year, he couldn’t tell what was worse. When Midnight and the others made it back to Ponyville, Midnight saw a huge statue of himself as Wolf-Spider in the center of town. That statue was his proper grave and everything.
“Did everypony really think that I was dead?” Midnight asked Twilight.
“With you in a coma for a year, I could see why they think that” Twilight replied.
When Midnight went to go take a closer look at the statue, it said “Here lies the hero that saved us from an evil known as the Arch-Goblin. The Deadly Wolf-Spider, you will be remembered”. Midnight was shocked, everypony thinks that he is dead. I mean, he’s alive and he felt like it was a little bit too much. I mean, he was only the Deadly Wolf-Spider for only a few months at that time. Now he’s presumed dead at this point. Midnight can’t just live a normal life now, he made a promise to his mother and he’s gonna keep it. It was time for the Deadly Wolf-Spider to return in new threads or in this case, a new symbiotic suit!
