The next day went by fairly normal for the rangers. But if their past battles were any indication, it was times like this that a new fight was just around the corner. And as per usual, their instincts were correct. However, they hadn't expected WHERE the next attack would occur! A huge blast rocked the school! Burst and the rangers looked out a window, and saw Gandora the Dragon of Destruction attacking their school! "Blitz. Looks like you've decided to hit us where it hurts!" Gandora unleashed another destructive volley of energy blasts! "We'll have to split up and morph!" Burst and the rangers split up, and morphed! Each of them then went to separate locations to help get students and staff evacuated. Burst made a break for Celestia's office! Fortunately, he found her unharmed. "Good. You're safe."
"Glad you could come to my rescue.", Celestia said with a smile. "I've already given the order to evacuate the school."
"Me and the others are helping people get out now. I'll make another few sweeps and see if there's anyone stuck." Burst ran off into the hallways, and saw smoke coming from the chemistry room. "Not good!" Burst rushed to the door, and kicked it down! When he went inside the room, he saw what looked like a twisted version of his ranger form. It had black armor, tattered wings, and a greyed-out blue visor. Burst then saw three boys trapped by a wall of flames. From the looks of things, they were more scared of Burst than the fire. "Easy..." Burst removed his helmet and smiled. "See? Just a regular guy. Come on. Let's get out of here before we're roasted." Burst stepped through the flames and left the room with the CMCB in tow. "Hold tight!" Burst flew towards the exit, and re-attached his helmet. As soon as he set the CMCB down, Burst contacted the other rangers. "Guys? How's the evacuation going?"
"We're almost finished!", Inferno replied. "The girls are helping out, but something's gotta be done about that dragon!"
"I'll hold it off. Blue-Eyes Zord!" Burst summoned his duel zord, and engaged Gandora! "You made a BIG mistake pal! You tried to waste my school!" Blue-Eyes Zord fired a powerful laser from its mouth! Striking Gandora full force! "Now you're learning a painful lesson." Burst then piloted his zord to ram into Gandora! Knocking the dragon of destruction to the ground! "White Lightning Cannon! Full Power!" Burst charged up the cannon in his zord's mouth! Firing a concentrated blast of energy! Destroying Gandora with a massive explosion! "That shoud do-" Burst was knocked aside by something! "What the-?" Burst looked to his right, and saw what looked like an evil version of his zord! "I think I know who's piloting that thing. Let's go Blue-Eyes!" Burst charged with his zord and grappled with the dark twin that hovered in the sky! Both zords were evenly matched! Burst had enough at this point, and opened a communication channel to the other zord. "I know you're in there Blitz! What's your game?"
Blitz chuckled from the inside of his dark zord. "Well, well. Aren't you clever? Isn't it obvious? I came to take you down!" Blitz rammed his zord into Burst's! Causing both zords to crash on the ground! Burst and Blitz made it in one piece, and engaged in combat after breaking free of their respective zord's cockpits. "Much better. Now I can truly make you pay!" Blitz charged at Burst and took a swing at him! Burst dodged and countered with a punch of his own! Blitz caught Burst's fist with his hand, and threw him into the air! Burst used the wings of his armor to recover and delivered a powerful kick to Blitz's stomach! Blitz was winded but charged at Burst while he was in pain! Burst rolled out of the way and pulled off a series of punches before finishing his combo with a kick to Blitz's face! While Blitz was still reeling, Burst charged his fist full of energy and executed a devastating uppercut! Knocking Blitz to the ground! As Blitz lay on his back, he began to laugh. "Heh. Heh heh heh! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
"What's so funny?"
"This new armor rewards my pain...BY UNLEASHING DEVASTATING FURY!" Blitz stood up and an aura of darkness exploded around him! Blitz then chraged at Burst who struggled to block against the onslaught of blows! But the frequency of Blitz's punches proved to much for Burst to handle, and his defenses crumbled! The other rangers had arrived on the scene, but they were to late! Blitz sneered under his helmet as he threw Burst into the air and fired a massive energy blast! A huge explosion took up the air, and Burst fell to the ground seriously hurt and de-morphed!
"BURST!", Moon and the other rangers rushed to Burst's side.
"This is your first and only warning.", Blitz said with a smirk under his helmet. "Lock away your morphers and melt down your zords. There's a new ranger in town. And I will spare any in my way no mercy!" Blitz then vanished in a swirl of darkness. Leaving the rangers to contemplate thier uncertain. Celestia noticed the rangers huddled around Burst and helped Moon stand him up.
"Let's get him to the command center." Celestia said with a worried look on her face. "Burst. Hang on. Please."
