How to Break a Lord's Pride

Chapter 7

A small draconequus child ran through the halls of a beautiful castle. It was on the high mountains gazing upon the land below. The castle was green and the windows reflected the beautiful sun that shone below. Draconequus guards and Phoenix Pegasi guarded the castle in armor and armed. Now the draconequus child ran through the halls as an elder draconequus, a female, chased him.

"Get back here you little runt!," she said.

"I don't wanna take a bath! I like bein in cotton candy!," said the small draconequus child as he ran from the elder draconequus. She rolled her eyes and teleported, catching the small draconequus.

"Have you forgotten about how I can teleport," she said. "Also if you're sticky, how will I be able to cuddle you?" It took a lot to resist the puppy eyes the small child gave, but he sighed and said, "fine."

The elder draconequus smiles as she hugged and nuzzled his tiny body. "That's my little cotton candy," she says.

Discord rubbed his head as he awoke. Another memory he thought. He was confused again as too what the recurring vision he had. Was it even a memory? The castle was new but, the female draconequus was there again. What was so important about her? Who wastt feel like answering these questions right now. Looking around he couldn't help but notice that, he was standing on cool ground instead of the dirt of a forest. As well as the trees and plants were, gone. Something definitely was wrong. He tried teleporting but, he snapped his fingers yet nothing happened. Thankfully, his night vision then turned on. He saw that there were, walls, steel walls. He looked around and knew something was definitely wrong. As he moved forward for he didn't hear a noise he heard a sound. Looking behind him answered his question of his current lack of magic. Around his neck, locked, were the what that Torrid called dracunaquus chains. He tried pulling at them but it was no use. His ears perked up to, voices. He listened closely to this conversation.

"Marvelous work," said a male voice. "I am sure surprised by what you have brought to me."

"Ya have ye dracunaquus," said a familiar voice, Torrid. "Give me me reward."

"Yes yes," said the male voice. "Of course Torrid. Now was he a trouble to find? I remembered having killed all of those other dracunaquuses."

"Not at all mate," said Torrid. "Critter there came along with some of th' Equestrians along. Brought ye princess I saw."

"Was this princess," started the male voice. "In any case, had a white coat, flowing mane, tall, elder looking?"

"Nope some lavender n' flowing mane," said Torrid. "Heard her and her swanees got looking for ye Reviving Seed."

"Hmm, was she lavender in this case," said the male voice.

"Eyup," said Torrid. "Now, ze reward, King Adder."

"Oh, of course," said King Adder. Discord heard bits clicking. "Thanks for the dracunaquus."

"Eh, never like the fellas anyway," said Torrid. Discord heard hoofsteps fading away.

So she brought me in for blasted money! she brought me in for blasted money! thought Discord. I knew she couldn't be trusted. Should've wiped her memory when had the chance. Or better yet, sent her to another dimension. His thoughts, however, were paused when he heard hoofsteps nearing. Soon the room lighted up with white lights as someone entered. Discord glanced at the pony, if it even was one.

This, halfling, was tall. He had a dark green coat with darker green wings that were as big as a griffon's. At the end of each feather, was a sharp, curved, long, spike. He had two small fangs and orange slit eyes. His mane was short and spiked and orange colored. And his tail was the oddest of all. Instead of a tail made of hair were, two snakes. They were sleeping now but both were a vivid green and extremely poisonous. He also had a unicorn horn.

"Hello there, dracunaquus," said King Adder. "I see not all of your kind has been extinct. You must come from Equestria am I right?"

Discord just snorted at him. He was not gonna get a word out of him. Last thing he wanted was these Outlanders in Equestria. It had enough problems already.

"What's wrong," said King Adder. "Don't you know how to talk?" Discord once again just glared.

"Oh wait a minute," said King Adder. "You can talk but don't want to. Stubborn."

"You can't and won't make me tell you anything," growled Discord.

"Oh that's where you're wrong little dracunaquus," said King Adder. "I know you have some little friends of yours you know?"

"Don't you dare hurt them!," yelled Discord. He didn't want this pesky king to hurt his friends or try to scare him as well.

"Oh why would I?," asked King Adder, smirking. "Now, I see that you are, well last of your kind. Why don't you tell me things about you and your, homeland."

Discord glared at him. "I won't tell you anything! So scamper, you ain't getting a word out of me! So you better run of before things get worse you bug."

King Adder looked angrily at Discord. "Oh and what are you gonna do about it?," he asked. "Without your magic you're worthless."

"I've been without magic before ugly," said Discord. Though it was true last time he didn't quite escape on his own plus, he didn't have chains holding him back but a bubble. But back then his magic was drained from him, making him weak. Now he had his magic only it was being blocked, so he still had his strengths.

"Oh but I'm sure back to those other times you weren't restrained," said King Adder, sneering. "So be a good boy and tell me of your homeland, the residence there, about you and your friends."

Discord just clawed King Adder's chest. He asked for it. He didn't have his magic but he did have his strengths. "There's more where that came from weakling," hissed Discord.

King Adder's anger came to its point. "Oh you just ended my patience dracunaquus."

"Oh boo-hoo so sorry," mocked Discord. King Adder's horn then lighted up, a light covered the chains but before Discord could question sent an immobilizing shock. Now normally, these things wouldn't affect him. But he felt the pain, it was deep. Soon he was blasted to a wall. He felt the pain and it hurt so much it made him wince.

"Now are you going to talk," said King Adder sternly.

"Go. To. Hell," said Discord. King Adder once again shot him to a wall, this time harder.

"Now?," asked King Adder, glaring.

"Over my dead body," said Discord.

King Adder blasted him harder to a wall. This time Discord could barely get up. King Adder glared at him. "Perhaps tomorrow you'll talk," he said. Then the lights went off and he disappeared.

Discord flopped to the floor. He didn't understand, why did it hurt so much? He felt scared, but at the same time worried. If this king could do this much damage to him, imagine what he'll do to his friends. He wouldn't talk, even if it killed him he wouldn't hand his friends over to that beast. Tears began to dwell, and he buried his face into his paw and claw. He could see the scars and wounds on his body that were made from the blast. He hoped Twilight and her friends were safe. He hoped that they realized his absent. He hoped that King Adder didn't get to them. With tears running down and face buried into his paw and claw, he tried to sleep.

This one is a strong one King Adder as he walked to his chambers. I felt his powers, his loyalty to his so called friends. He could be useful but he is too loyal. If he doesn't agree to be by my side in time, well then a spell i'll have to use.
