In an alternate universe...

UniqueTKO was a hero.  He had saved the lives of hundreds and done his best to defeat the villains of the world.  No one could ever not recognize the Pegasus.  The primaries on his wings were burning red color as well as a strange crest that was on his chest.  His eye's were baby blue much to everypony's surprise.  One would have expected red eyes.  He also walked on two legs due to a birth defect.
Where was I?  Oh yes.  He lived in a desolate land that was once called Equestria before 'they' came.  'They' were known as the Brutos, a creature made of slime and muck bent on destroying life.  They had no minds of their own and they had no souls.  They were like inanimate objects used to the advantage of an evil force: Queen Chrysalis.
The story was said to be that Queen Chrysalis had found a way to take the life force of a changeling and to put a life source of her own into the body of the victim.  After finding out how to do this she took over Equestria, overthrowing the Princesses and even the elements of harmony.  Discord was unable to defeat her and was once again turned to stone.  Soon the land became filled with death and destruction.  All was not lost, however.  A small group of ponies gathered relics across the land and used them to enhance their abilities.  Some gained speed, some gained strength, some gained powers beyond their belief.  
Unique had found a relic known as the Final Flame and was given a strength beyond ones imagination.  With a one punch he could defeat any foe.  The only problem was he had to stay in control.  If the power of a relic is misused or the bearer was weak then it would either cause terrible destruction or simply destroy the one bearing it.
At the moment, Unique was walking down a dusty path in a city once known as Manehatten.  He was on his way to see his wife twidashloverxxx, or TwiDash for short.  They had known each other for years and he had told her about his love for her a few months afterwards.  They got married on the same day that Canterlot had been overthrown.  They were separated in a great battle but were now in contact with each other.
While Unique was walking past an old train-station that had long been unused he noticed a single car that seemed to be intact and could be used to make his trip shorter.  He cleaned off the metal contraption and climbed inside.  One of the room in the in it were still usable so he decided to lie down.  He found sleep quickly due to his long travel.



A wonderful feeling came to the side of Unique.  It was the feeling of sunlight.  It warmed his skin to the bone.  He opened his eyes and was met with a beautiful sight.  He was inside the same room as before but it was polished and well taken care of.  The seats were unstained and window was still intact.  He stood up and headed for the door.  As he opened it he saw the rest of the train in perfect condition.  He would have walked further but something slammed into his hooves, taking away his balance and causing him to land headfirst on the doorknob on the door straight across from his room.  Normally it wouldn't effect him but at the moment he was hazy from waking up and was still quite tired.



Unique opened his eyes once again, only to find himself back on the train car.  He shook his head and walked back inside his room.
He mumbled under his breath, "Hmm.  Must have been a dream.  Either that or I'm going crazy."  Unique hoped it was the former and lied down once more.  He found out, however, that sleep eluded him.
A few hours later he came upon the town once known as Ponyville.  Using his hoof he stopped the wheels of the train car, bringing it to a slow but sudden stop near the entrance to the town.  He climbed out and walked through the desolate village.
As Unique walked he saw something that never ceased to amaze him: house completely shaped as a tree.  It looked almost as if it had grown like that.
"Wish I had a house like that."  He mumbled to himself, "Wish I had a house, period."
Unique hadn't lived in one place for years.  If he ever did come across a nice place he wouldn't remain there.  He would eventually have to change locations at some point.
"Well hello there good looking." , and all to familiar voice rang behind Unique, "What brings you to my humble town?"
Unique turned around to the sight of his wife, "Just searching for some treasure milady."  When they were close enough Unique held her in a loving embrace and kissed her.  When the kiss ended, he added, "I think I just found it."
After a few minutes of talking the two lovers walked inside a half destroyed building.  Due to an accidental remark on TwiDashs weight, Unique had to sleep on the couch.  Unique didn't argue, a couch would be much better than where he had been sleeping.  He put his head down and fell into the land of the unconscious.



He only was like this for a few seconds before he woke up again.  For some reason he felt as though the room looked a little different: The couch was more comfortable, it was darker than before, and the house was without any blemishes or damage of any kind.
"What in Tartarus?"  Unique stood up and noticed a blanket over him.  He hadn't gone to sleep with a blanket on.  How did that get there?  He decided the best course of action would be to ask TwiDash what was going on.  He walked up the stairs to her bedroom and knocked on the door.
A voice rang from the other side, "One second."
The door opened to reveal the purple pegasu... wait.  Pegasus?  Unique looked at TwiDash in amazement.  She didn't have a horn or an eyepatch.  That couldn't be possible.
"Twi!  What in Celestias name happened?  Where is your horn?!  How did your eye come back?"
TwiDash looked at Unique puzzled, "What do you mean?  You know I hide my wings so nopony knows I'm Alicorn, and what do you mean by my eye growing back?  Plus why are your wings and crest red?"
Unique was speechless.  He thought hard for a few seconds before he thought up the most obvious answer.  She's a changeling.  There was only one way to find out for sure.  Unique grabbed TwiDash by the waist and pulled her in close.
"Unique!  What are you dohmph..."  Her question was interrupted as their lips connected.  Unique felt her lips through his own and felt how she kissed.  It was definitely the pony he knew to be his wife but she kissed as if this her first time.  Finally, Unique released her and she stumbled back a few steps in a daze with a very visible blush.
Unique began to speak again, "Sorry for that, I just had to make sure you weren't a changeling."  Before he could say another word, TwiDash smacked him in the face, the impact almost shattering his skull.
"What the freaking buck Unique!"
