"Aw man where is the spire? I can't believe I lost sight of it!" He pointed his hoof at a random bypasser. "Hey! Where is the big spire?"
"It's a few blocks straight to the left." He responded.
"Yosh! Thanks!" And Luffy ran to the right.
"Hey! The spire is that way!" The stallion shouted, pointing his hoof in the right direction.
"Oh thanks!" Luffy ran in the direction to the spire.
"What an odd pony." The stallion thought to himself.
"Gotta find the spire! Gotta find the spire! Alright! There it is! Wha?" Luffy stopped dead in his tracks, and saw an odd looking alicorn, surrounded by ice statues that Luffy recognised as his friends. Rage began curdling inside Luffy. "Bastard! Hurting my friends! Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"
The alicorn shot his head in Luffy's direction in response to Luffy's attack, and jumped out of the way. "Straw Hat! You're early!"
"I found you Ice Jerk! Now I'm gonna kick your ass!"
Back to the present. "Ah ah. Temper temper Straw Hat. You wouldn't want to hit one of your friends by accident." Black Ice chided Luffy trying to egg him on.
"Then I'll have to make sure my punches miss them! Gomu Gomu no..." Luffy began twisting his arm.
"As if you could hurt me." Bmack Ice spat, and let Luffy attack.
"RIFLE!" The attack seemingly made contact, but instead phased right through Black Ice. Luffy gave him a look of confusion. "Huh? what did you do?"
"I expected more from you, but if this is the best you can offer, I should freeze you right now!" Black Ice suddenly appeared inside the snow beneath Luffy, attempting an ambush. But Luffy's keen senses let him know what happened, and smashed Black Ice with his left hoof. Once again the attack went right through him, and Black Ice was a swirling cloud of ice. "You can't hurt me idiot! I've learned how to turn my body into pure arctic clouds! My time in Tartarus has allowed me to ponder on my powers, and discover their true abilities! How can you hurt a cloud of ice?" He asked smirking at Luffy.
Luffy gave a smirk of his own. "So you're like a logia huh?" Luffy bent his knees. "I bet I can hurt you with heat!" Luffy began pumping his legs. "Gear Second! Gomu Gomu no Firestarter!" Luffy pressed his hoofs together, and began rubbing them against each other at such speed that his legs couldn't be seen anymore.
"Huh? I don't understand, are you trying to confuse me or something? Whats up with the steam kiddo?" His face contorted in confusion, then shock at the sight. "Hm?! Um ok what am I looking at?"
"Alright you Ice Jerk let's see you phase through this! Fire Luffy!" Luffy had used Gear Second to increase his speed, and ignite his hoofs through friction. "If you're anything like a logia then you should take damage from your elemental weakness." Luffy stopped and took a look at his hoofs, realizing exactly what he just did, as the fire spread to his coat. "OH CRAP! I SET MYSELF ON FIRE!" He started screaming like a mad man, and running circles. "AAAHHH! HOT!HOT!HOT!HOT!HOT!HOT!HOT!" He ran into a building knocking snow on him.
Black Ice was just dumbfounded, even the frozen statues had somehow facehoofed at Luffy's sheer lunacy. "Are you kidding me?"
The snow rumbled and burst outward with Luffy standing without his coat. "I'm not joking around here! I'm always serious when I fight!"
Black Ice was less than amused his ears drooped, and his tail began twitching. In a completely deadpan tone asked if he was finished. "So um yeah...are you done? I have a country to freeze." Snow began piling around Luffy. "To think I actually saw you as a threat. Hey! Where did you go?!"
Luffy appeared behind him still in Gear Second. "Jet Stamp" The attack yet again passed through Black Ice. "Hey! Get back here!" Black Ice looked around searching for Luffy, and caught a glimpse of him. "How are you teleporting?! You aren't a unicorn!" He let out a breath of frozen wind, covering things in ice, but Luffy's speed let him escape. Black Ice grew annoyed, and blasted out a wave of snow. "RAAGH! KNOCK IT OFF!"
"Woah what was that?!" It was the cloaked mare Luffy met from earlier, she too had been heading for the spire, and was barely out of range of the ice wave. She attempted to use her unique magic on a few ponies, freeing them. "Oh this is bad! This is really really bad! You need to get out of here!" Some ran, but a few stopped.
"Hey thanks!" A few of them uttered. "But what about that guy? He is spreading ice and snow everywhere?" They pointed to Black Ice.
The mare was fearful. "I-I don't know!"
The blast wave was fast, and powerful, many bystander ponies were frozen solid, but Luffy was too fast, and blasted a safe hole through the wave with a Gomu Gomu no Jet Cannon. "Got any more tricks?" He asked mockingly.
"Oh I've got plenty! Ice tendrils formed around Luffy and attempted to stab at him. Luffy ran, and ran, constantly dodging the tendrils, as one after another popped up after him, before slamming into a wall of ice. While trying to dodge the tendrils luffy hadn't noticed Black Ice's trap. "Suprise suprise!" The wall grabbed Luffy and took the form of Black Ice. "Haha oh man you ice tentacles did great distracting him, now get impaled!" He crossed his hoofs together and the ice tedrils came crashing into Luffy, stabbing multible parts of his body, leaving him blood spattered. He held up Luffy with an ice tendril face to face, grinning like a sadist. "See kiddo, this is what happens when you mess with me! Once I finish you off no one will stop me from devastating these lands. After all these years I'll finally have my revenge for the way Celestia and Luna treated me! Goodb-OOF!" Luffy had punched him in the chest while he was ranting, not in cloud form.
""Grrr!" *SMASH!* While Black Ice was recoiling, Luffy used soru, and smashed Black Ice in the face, senting him flying in front of the pedestal of the Crystal Heart. Luffy crossed the distance with ease and appeared above Black Ice "Now Gomu Gomu no..." His legs stretched backwards.
Black Ice had just enough time to look up in horror. "Ah! He is too fast, I can't turn to cloud fast enough!"
"JET BAZOOKA!" The impact hit Black Ice right in the stomach, sending small cracks through the floor. "Now Gomu Gomu no..."
"Hold it!" Black Ice managed to teleport in a puff next to Twilight, allowing some of the ice to melt from her head down to her neck. "Take another step and she dies. It'll be easy, I just have to send an ice spike right through her ears, and....well....I'm sure you can figure out the rest!" Luffy stopped dead in his tracks, at his friend being threatened.
"Agh! YOU COWARD!" Twilight shrieked at him.
Black Ice had an amused look, and sneered at her. "Um yeah ok, and your point is...? Look I don't have time for this. You. Straw Hat." He pointed his hoof at Luffy. "I'm giving you an ultimatum: Drink this nifty little potion, and I won't hurt your friends." He levitated a sickly yellow bottle in front of Luffy.
"Don't do it Luffy!" Twilight called out to him. "Who knows what he put in that potion!"
"Oh it's nothing special! It'll just slowly freeze every bodily fluid you have over the course of 10 agonizing hours. Doesn't that sound fun? C'mon. Admit it. It sounds fun doesn't it?"
"And if I don't?" Luffy said fuming.
"Oh. Well then I kill all your friends, and force feed you the potion anyway. Listen kid, I'm not playing games, I'm here for revenge, and if I have to freeze over Equestria to do it then I'm gonna do just that. Now drink the potion or your friends die! I'm a phycho, but this phycho is a man of his word."
Luffy thought it over, his face crumpled into a frown, before he gripped the potion. Twilight's face went pale, and her ears dropped. "No Luffy don't do it!" But her pleas were ignored, and Luffy gulped down the potion. Tears streamed down her face, and she managed only a whisper. "Please no." Black Ice kept his smug grin the whole time. Luffy finished the bittle and dropped it.
"Wonderful!" Black Ice said with glee, and he clapped his front hoofs together sending fourth a wave of snow. Everypony was unfrozen save for Ice Yokes around their necks, and now there was a dome of ice surrounding them all.
"Hey! What gives? You promised you wouldn't hurt the-" His eyes turned to pinpricks, and the veins in his eyes turned blue. Luffy covered his ears as they rang, and his blood began to crystallize. "Cough! Cough!" Ice shards came out of his mouth as he coughed, and Luffy dropped to the frozen floor pale, and breathing heavily.
"LUFFY!" Twilight shrieked and ran to him. "Get up! Please!" Her tears kept falling on him, freezing as they made contact with his skin.
"You're right Straw Hat! I did promise not to hurt your friends, and I didn't! Those yokes are made of the same ice that is freezing their magic. All I did was give your friends accessories! That isn't 'hurting' anypony. Like I said I'm a man of my word, my EXACT word that is! Hahaha!"
"What did you do to him?" Rainbow snarled as she struggled to get up.
"I did nothing but give him a drink. This is doing something!" Black Ice sent an ice cloud at Luffy, making him freeze even more, causing ice to cover his right hoof, and half of his face.
"Hey leave him alone you jerk!" Rainbow rushed to Luffy's side and kicked it making it pop. "Lay off! You got what you wanted!"
"H-h-how'd you do that?" Luffy questioned weakly.
"Dude! I'm a pegasus, messing with the weather is what we do." Rainbow gave off a warm grin. She spoke in one of her rare soft voices. "H-hey man look it'll be alright. We'll find a way out of this. Me and my buds have gotten through worse than this."
"Have we though?" Pinky Pie asked. "I mean everyone has their magic frozen, and these things on our necks pop back on when we take them off."
"Way to kill the moment." Rainbow said with sarcasm.
"No more speaking! This farce has gone on long enough. I am tired of playing this game! You do what you want, I'm going to watch the world freeze! At long last the Princesses will suffer for their sins against me! Oh, and some friendly advice: Don't even bother trying to bust the ice dome. This stuff is so hard, it makes diamond look like wet paper.
He started to walk and made an exit hole, but was stopped by words alone. These words struck a chord in him, and made him angry. The words were from a yellow pegasus. "How could you?" Her words were full of dissapointment. "This place is your home, and you want to kill it? Why would you throw this place away? What did this place ever do to you?"
Black Ice turned around with a psychotic grin. This one was different from the others. The others were ones of sadism, but this one was absolutely freaky. This was the grin of a man so angry, that all he could do is smile. "Do you have any idea what it's like, little filly? To have a family? Imagine getting seperated from your family, and then experiencing excruciating pain. Horrific pain, like a branding iron to the brain." He looked at Celestia and Luna. His voice then became a loud snarl, and he got uncomfortably close to Fluttershy's face. "Then after finally finding said family, enduring all that pain just for them, you discover they replaced you?! AS IF I WERE SOME, SOME, SOMETHING" Fluttershy was visibly shook. "YOU!" He pointed an accusing hoof at Celestia and Luna. "YOU REPLACED ME! YOU ABANDONED ME!"
Everyone, especially the Princesses were confused. Celestia questioned him. "What are you talking about? We never even met outside of combat."
"Are you joking me?!" Black Ice shrieked, almost insulted. He teleported between the 2 princesses, wrapping his cold wings around them. "NEVER MET?! Lady! Who is the one pony you knew with ice magic?! Well go on! TELL ME!" The sister's hung their heads in sadness, unable to answer.
"Frosty Hearth. They knew Frosty Hearth." Twilight answered for them.
"Thats right! Somepony give brainiac a prize!"
"Except you killed him." Luna said with resentment. Her face churning with anger.
Black Ice started howling with laughter. "Ha! Haha! Hahahahahahaha! Just who do you think I am?" He blew a breath of frost on the ground, cauzing it to freeze forming a glass like surface, and making a mist appear. The mist began to dissapear, and began forming letters which turned to 4 words. 4 simple words that changed everything they knew about 'Black Ice.'
"I"
"No way" Rainbow whispered.
"AM"
"Can't be..." Applejack denied, dumbfounded.
"FROSTY HEARTH"
"Frosty! Y-you're alive?!" Celestia and Luna asked with tears running down their faces.
