Not a Cloud In the Sky

Well At Least The Hospital's Nice

Cloud was really not happy right now. He was slumped in a sterile, white hospital room with Pandora tucked against his side. Pandora had rushed him here and he was admitted at once. He was at no risk but the doctor had insisted he stay overnight so they could watch him, just in case. It was morning now and Cloud was hungry. He started when he felt the now unicorn Pandora stir against him. The fact that the residents of Ponyville knew her as a unicorn was definitely going to cause problems. She hugged him and rested her head on his stomach only to leap out of bed when what sounded like a manticore growl came from his stomach. Cloud winced apologetically.

"Sorry, I'm kinda hungry from getting my stomach pumped." He chuckled. That had definitely been one of the most uncomfortable experiences of his life. Upon realizing he still had the cupcake inside him, the doctor had ordered it be removed to prevent further complications. Pandora perked up before smiling.

"Well, since you're not allowed to leave yet, I'll go get some donuts from Sugar Cube Corner! You want sour cream, right?" She chirped, not literally because she was in disguise. He'd heard her chirp before and it was adorable, but before his mind could wander even more, she jumped out the window.

"You could have used the door!" He shouted after her. He sighed before slumping against the headboard of his hospital bed. The door to his room opened to reveal the six mares from last night.

Celestia help me!

He stared blankly as they shuffled inside. The purple unicorn he remembered as Twilight nudged the pink menace from before. She looked... different, he mane was straight and her coat colors looked...muted.

"I *sniff* I'm s-sooooooooooo *sniff* sorry I *sniff* force-feed you coconut. Like w-with a c-capital 'S' and a capital 'ORRY.'" She sniffed while looking miserable. Cloud sighed,

"I forgive you, you didn't know." He said. Pinkie shivered,

"I-Is there any way I can make it up to you so w-we can still be friends?" She whimpered.

Since when have I been their friend?

He sighed,"Just... stop doing that." He said while gesturing to the begging Pinkie. She nodded before slinking back over to her friends. The orange one, Applejack maybe?, patted her on the back. The egotistical blue pegasus from the interrogation at the party sighed,

"Great, she apologized, can we just go already I skipped breakfast for this." She moaned. A blue aura grabbed her tail.

"Ahem, you still haven't apologized for your deplorable behavior during the game last night yet." Rarity said.

"Why do I have to apologize! I didn't do anything!" Rainbow cried. Applejack cocked an eyebrow at her.

"Ya darn near pulled ah bad cop on him ta get a silly little autograph! It just ain't right ta go askin questions ahbout somepony's privit life like that and dahmand they anser." She growled. Rainbow sighed before mumbling out a "I'm sorry" and flying out the window. Fluttershy went to close the window while Rarity walked right up to Cloud.

"I'm so terribly sorry about that whole fiasco at the party. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know." She said with a smile. Cloud smiled back before nodding,

"That's very nice of you, thanks. Though I don't know how much you could do given I don't live here yet." Cloud stated. Suddenly, unbeknownst to all, Pinkie had an idea of how to cheer Cloud up and make Rarity happy all at the same time.

(Earlier)

"Alright girls, we ready to head out?" Twilight asked as she approached the group sitting around her table. With a nod the six friends headed towards the hospital. Pinkie was walking beside Rarity and asked,

"Hey Rarity, what do you think about Cloud? He seems quiet right?" Rarity thought for a moment before wistfully saying.

"I don't know yet. For all we know, he could be some lost rouge disavowed by his family who became a Canterlot noble. He probably holds all his emotions inside, just waiting for a beautiful mare to come and make his life complete. Oh he's something like out of a romantic story!" She squealed, forgetting that none of that was confirmed in the slightest. Pinkie snickered,

"Sounds like you've got a cruuuuuuush." She singsonged. Rarity blushed,

"What, n-no! Although I do admit the strong silent type is definitely an attractive prospect. And he is a little bit handsome, even more so when he smiles... ok, I'll admit I wouldn't mind getting to know him better." She said with a light giggle.

----------------------------

Before Rarity could move away, Pinkie was suddenly pushing both of their heads together. Rarity yelped as she was pulled towards Cloud, who flailed before widening his eyes as their lips connected. Pinkie cheered,

"Yay! I knew we needed more smoochies!" Before moving away, leaving the startled duo without their support. They toppled back, lips still locked together as Cloud tried to pull away bringing Rarity closer accidentally. A box could be heard falling to the floor and a gasp rang out. Cloud barely caught sight of a honey yellow tail running off before he managed to move away and shot Pinkie a venomous glare, which was followed by Raritie's a moment later.

"What the hell!" Cloud shouted as Rarity as lept off the bed. Pinkie looked confused,

"W-what's wrong? You guys were totally into each other so I just gave you a bump!" Rarity coughed to try to dispel the blush on her cheeks.

"You can't just make two ponies kiss like that! It defeats the purpose!" Rarity cried. Pinkie pouted,

"Well I just saved you time to try to make you happy. It's not the end of the world. I mean, duh! You wear sooo going to ask her out, right Cloud?" She said with a smile. Cloud's glare intensified,

"No I wasn't! I had no intention of ever asking any of you out given the fact that I'M ENGAGED!" He snarled.

Pinkie gulped," Um, at least she didn't see it!" She shakily said. Twilight spoke up,

"She wouldn't happen to be the unicorn who dropped the donuts, is she? Off white coat, yellow mane by any chance?" Cloud nodded before turning to Pinkie and growling out,

"You're fixing this. If you cause her to run away and me never be able to find her, there'll be hell to pay. So if you could please find her then you could be so kind as to explain everything!" He asked in a falsely sweat tone of voice. There was no question though, he wasn't asking.

-------------------------

"A-and he was j-just sitting there kissing her. I-I mean I know I'm ugly b-but to have an affair before we even get married! I just--" Pandora devolved into sobs, the nurse closest to her pulling her into a hug. One nurse stormed over and said,

"Honey, you didn't do anything wrong, and you jus stop that 'I'm ugly' talk right now. Now stand up! And all us gonna go up and show that two timein', no good dog and his little hussy marefriend what happenes to their type round here. Gurl he betta be glad we in a hospital cause Imma bout to make him wish he was never born!" The rest if the nurses cheared, fire in their eyes. Pandora was led along the middle of the group by a mare with a white coat and pink mane.

"T-their not going to actually hurt him, are they?" She shakily said. She still loved him, even if he was bored of her, and didn't want him to get hurt.

"Oh no, we're nurses! We swore an oath not to harm." The nurse said while rubbing Pandora's shoulder. She cracked her neck and narrowed her eyes,

"But I have some choice words for you fiancé."
