Introduction

As all fairy tales-and some fanfiction-do, this story begins with the simplest of phrases: Once Upon a Time…  but that is where our story takes a turn. This is not the simple tale of a beautiful mare and a handsome prince-although the mare is quite lovely, and the prince can, undoubtedly, be charming.

    No, this is a tale of beauty that goes much deeper than appearances. It is the story of two ponies, brought together in the most interesting of circumstances. Two ponies who learn to see what truly matters, only after they meet each other and their tale, one as old as time, yet fresh as a rose, and more enchanting than crystals begins.

    And so, our story begins in the hidden heart of the Everfree…
