I am Home

An orange girl with fiery hair stood in front of a statue on a school campus. The girls name was Sunset Shimmer the statue held the name of The Wondercolt Statue and was secretly a portal to another dimension with colorful ponies. The dimension was called Equestria and the school that the statue and the portal was belonging to was called Canterlot High School or CHS as most of students studying at the school called it.
The school - like the name hinted - was a high school in the town known under the name Canterlot. The whole town smelled of sweets, freshly baked gingerbread and winter holidays.
The portal disguised as a statue shimmered and a purple girl with long purple hair with pink streaks emerged from the portal. Everyone that visited the school in the day to day life should have been familiar with the girl. Because the girl was none other than Twilight Sparkle. But not the Twilight Sparkle that visited the school on normal basis. It was the Twilight Sparkle from the portal world that most of the students never visited.
Sunset Shimmer stepping to the side of Twilight Sparkle had a remark about how she should have brought some winter clothes but then she gave Twilight her jacket with the words that she is used to cold.
"So... Do you want to have a short tour of time of Canterlot before we go to Equestria?" Sunset asked Twilight nudging her away from portal hinting that se is voting for the tour.
"Sure why not? I never really saw the city so it would be good to get a little orientation here. Plus I want to see how similar it is to the Canterlot back in Equestria." Twilight agreed to Sunset happiness "So... Where do we start?"
"I thought we could go to the city centre and slowly end the tour at Sugarcube Corner." Sunset offered.
"Good idea as any different. Lets go then." Twilight agreed.
And the two girls went, idly chattering about their homes. What neither of them saw was a head colored so light purple that it was almost pink with a dark purple hair with a teal stripe running through it. They also didn't see the other head, this one belonging to a certain dragon turned dog.

The walk around the whole city and the following meet up with friends was enjoyable for both Twilight and Sunset. As they walked towards the portal on the school campus Twilight saw a purple and green dog. But before she could even think about what dog it was, the dog hopped into the portal.
“Hey, was that Spike?” Sunset Shimmer said apparently also noticing the dog.
“I think so but I am not sure. Well there is only one way to find out for sure.” the purple haired princess said and grabbed her friend's hand.
“Ready? Three, two, one , GO!” Sunset cried out and started running into the portal hand to hand with Twilight.
As they jumped into the portal a burst of swirling colors overtook them and all that they cold do is scream as their bodies were changed from a human form to a more equine pony looking form.
The portal finally poofed the two girls out of it on the other side that looked like a mirror. As one could avait, the library was a total mess. Piles of books laid all over the place and it seemed like a den for Discord and not a royal library like it in reality was.
As the portal popped the two ponies turned humans turned ponies back again they flew right into one of the many, many book piles. Even if it was a unpleasant landing the two of them at least got a soft landing unlike a certain grumbling dragon that had landed on the cold crystal floor using his face that now looked like it had been squished.
As the two ponies were digging themselves out of the pile of books another pony came into the room. She had a purple coat so light it verged on being pink, offset by a darker purple mane with a teal stripe running through it. The stripe matched the magical aura coming from her horn when she started cleaning up the books from the pile that Twilight and Sunset fell into.
As you could have probably guessed the ponies name was Starlight Glimmer and she was a student to a certain purple pony princess of friendship.
“Are you okay Sunset? I am sorry for the landing the library is quite an unstable place when it comes to magic.” Twilight said with a sheepish grin, getting out of the pile of the books with help of Starlight Glimmer.
“I am okay, or at least I think that I am okay, I don't feel any pain. But next time we shouldn't ran into the portal like that, it was pretty scary.” Sunset responded with a smile upon her face. When she stood up with the help of both Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer she smiled again and asked: “What should I do now that I am back?”
“Um… Sunset, you know that you are back in Equestria. Right?” Twilight said, looking a bit uncomfortable.
“Yes I know I just said it. And…?” Sunset left her sentence opened telling Twilight that she needed a bit more explaining to do.
“And you know that you are a pony, right?” Twilight made sure that her friend was aware of her species.
“Yes, yes I know. I think I am not that dumb to think that hooves and hands are the same thing and looks the same. And…?” Sunset said, still not knowing what Twilight had meant.
“And you know that well…”
“Ponies walk on four legs not two and right now you are walking on two legs.” Starlight said matter of factly cutting of Twilight and trying to end the awkward conversation that was going on between the two other ponies.
“Oh… Sorry, I am just used to human form of standing.” Sunset finally realizing her mistake finally fell back to all four legs “It seems that the human world affected me more that I thought.” she said giving a sheepish smile.
“It's okay, everypony has their own awkward moments.” Twilight said putting a hoof on her orange friends shoulder.
“So it seems that I am home, finally.”
