In the gym soon enough the students of the school were together for a party of sorts before the first part of the Friendship Games began and Peter was sitting next to Twilight as he was reading something that was being covered by his backpack. Twilight as she was fiddling with her machine looked to Peter's book and he showed her the cover which had a photograph of a man in a business suit with grey hair, glasses and goatee plus the title read MY LIFE AS HANK PYM. "I don't want to draw attention to myself by people seeing me reading an autobiography of someone who doesn't exist here..." Peter whispered in Twilight's ear and she gave a giggle.
Peter continued to read but felt uncomfortable when they heard students of CHS talking about Peter and the fact that the heard from other Shadowbolts that apparently he was staying at her house. Before they could try to ignore it however Twilight's machine went off and they looked between the seats to see portals going off. "Okay that was weird, maybe there is something weird going on in this school Twi..., Twi?!" Peter muttered but then looked concerned as Twilight's jaw opened up.
"...my machine is making these portals appear, it's probably my fault you got stuck here in the first place Peter..." Twilight muttered with tears in her eyes but Peter comforted her in his arms to much more mutterings of the students and they let go with more blushes on their faces. "If it's my fault you are stuck here, I will find a way to get you home..." Twilight muttered quiet enough to not be heard from any normal people but Peter managed to pick it up with his extra senses.
After Pinkie Pie livened up the party the staff told them it was time for the first part of the Friendship Games where the students competed for points to make it to the next round. "Okay let's start this tri-wizard tournament... no wait would that be double-no really wizard tournament..." Peter muttered as Twilight giggled out loud again finding his reference amusing despite having no clue as to what he was talking about.
Well during the various tasks that the students were taking part in to get points, Peter did impress when he was in a group that had to try and fix any of the machines giving to them. At the end Principal Celestia and Princess Luna had their mouths open as they saw that Peter had decided to use a computer with a label marked 'DUE FOR PICK UP' in a closet instead of the ones that were put out.
"Mr Parker... the technicians told us there was no hope of getting that one working again..." Principal Luna muttered to a smirk from Principal Cinch but Peter just stood proudly reminding him of the one he fixed up at home and still needs to show to Flash.
Needless to say he got extra points there which lead him to the next round plus some science tasks which involved mixing chemicals.
After Twilight managed to score the winning point for the round by solving a math problem against Sunset Shimmer, Peter ran up to congratulate Twilight but he seemed to be the only one of the Shadowbolts to do so. "So the jerks at the school won't even congratulate you even when you win them the round?" Peter asked appalled, "Wished somebody would teach them some manners..." Peter muttered not happy but Twilight told him to forget about it but Peter did not have plans to.
Later outside Peter was on a bench as Twilight was nearby talking to the girl Fluttershy and smiled when they showed eachother their pets, "Looks like Twilight might have some new friends from this school, says something when the students of the rival competing school are making her more welcome than her actual teammates..." Peter muttered deciding to take a look at his phone and once again saw the message from his Uncle Ben. He sighed as he put it to his ear and listened to it for the who knows how many time:
"Hey..." said a voice and Peter jumped when he saw it was a boy who Twilight had bumped into when they first got here. "Flash Sentry." the boy told him offering his hand to shake and Peter accepted it after putting his phone away. He could not help but laugh at the fact that the boy's first name was the star of the superhero identity of the main character of his favourite TV show right now.
"Peter Parker, professional wallflower or at least that's what the kids at my old elementary school called me." Peter told Flash who blinked but gave a laugh which Peter returned. Flash asked about him and Twilight and Peter responded "yeah I am kind of far away from home in a hard to explain way, Twilight and her brother are letting me stay at their house for the moment and she is kind of the only friend I have made since I got here in Canterlot..."
Flash gave him a smile and said "well hope you make more and listen..." Peter listened as Flash whispered to him "take care of Twilight, won't you..." Flash then left before Peter realised what he meant but he felt his Spider-Sense going off and saw Twilight and Fluttershy screaming with several portals around them and Spike went through one only to come back out again.
Peter rushed to help as a familiar elderly man with grey hair and glasses went through two himself while shouting "oh come on, I have already made my cameo..." Peter rushed as everything was clearing up and was greeted to the sound of Spike talking.
After he, Twilight and Spike shared a scream they walked away together, "okay now portals popping up and your dog can talk now, even after everything my world has had to go through this is still pretty weird. If I get home I will all probably have to dismiss all this as a dream just to keep my sanity in check!" Peter muttered putting his hands to his head as Twilight just sighed.
"Now we just have to focus on the next part of the Friendship Games, a Tricross Relay..." Twilight told him only to stare at his shocked face. "Something the matter Peter?" Twilight asked as Peter decided to explain.
"After getting my powers I decided to stay away from sports, you know how to keep my secret. I would love to play football but puny Peter Parker was never the sporting type so it would draw too much attention if I become one and it could be cheating..." Peter muttered as Twilight put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Any athletics, just try to tone it down to normal levels and I am sure you will do fine." Twilight told him and Peter smiled. They then got ready for the Tricross Relay.
Twilight and Peter were paired together for the archery but was having trouble trying to hit the targets, "This is a side effect of my senses, it's why I have the goggles as part of my costume to help me focus..." Peter whispered to Twilight who found it fascinating but then Applejack came to help them hit their targets.
However that appeared to cause Applejack to be glowing in energy which was engulfed by Twilight's machine, Peter had to use his Spider-Sense to dodge and help Twilight get to the ground. Then came more portals and out came several strange tentacle vines which made Peter think of the Batman villain Poison Ivy. Then everyone stopped in horror as a big portal in the middle of the field opened up and out came strange creatures.
"What are those things; I have never seen anything like that in Equestria..." Sunset muttered as everyone looked at the monsters that appeared. However Peter knew all too well what they were and faced Twilight.
"Twilight, I know those things, they are aliens who were responsible for what is called the 'Battle of New York'. They invaded New York and the Avengers were first revealed to the public stopping their invasion." Peter muttered and normally Twilight would be excited for the prospect of seeing ACTUAL alien life forms but now she was terrified for her life.
"I will take care of this..." Peter muttered running to the lockers where his backpack was stored as Sunset and her friends began using their energy to fight back against what they didn't know were called the Chitauri. Twilight even cried when Sunset confronted her about messing with the energy what was known as Equestrian Magic and putting her friends and everyone else in danger. Then the monsters stopped coming through but there seemed to be more than enough to do damage.
The students ran in panic from the Chitauri and Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna and Cadence were helping getting the students to saftey. "You guys are going to pay for this and for New York!" shouted a voice and Peter came slinging through in his costume and on a web and everyone gasped when they saw Peter there.
Peter swung from one web and kicked one of the Chitauri in the head knocking it out, "Can I borrow this, thanks!" Peter said taking the spear from the Chitauri and then used it to push some of the other Chitauri away. The Chitauri were weirded out being in this strange new world unexpectedly and this strange individual dressed in garb that reminded them of the six warriors that thwarted their attempted conquest of Earth.
"So you are the superhero guy?" Rainbow Dash asked as Peter looked her way and then grinned as Dash as well as the rest of her friends were using their magic to knock away the Chitauri.
"Yep, your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is here!" Peter told her with a salute using a web to catch onto one of the Chitauri and used it to throw him into several of the other Chitauri like bowling pins. "I must admit that I have never actually fought aliens before or even actual super villains before so yeah... I am kind of nervous to be honest." Peter said nervously having to use kicks to the guy and the agility from his Spider-Sense to dodge more of the Chitauri.
"Wait aliens?" Rarity asked disbelieving as some of her other friends had similar reactions but Pinkie sprouted out:
"Oh I think these aliens tried to invade another Earth for some pointy hatted sorcerer who is working with a purple alien who has a crush on Death and wants to collect six powerful stones so that they can go into his glove giving him the power to rule the universe..."
Her friends blinked but surged and continued on.
Noticing the residents of the world were running towards the entrance of the school, they turned their attention to follow them, but Peter was following him so he could protect them.
Twilight was running towards the bus but was now cornered by six Chitauri, fearful for her life she then saw Peter swing by a web and kicked some of them away. "This is my fault; I was messing with the magic and..." Twilight said but Peter caught her shoulders so she looked at him so she could see his eyes through his goggles.
"Don't worry Twilight, we will soon get all these aliens under control and I don't blame you, get to safety!" Peter told her and she nodded running away and Peter then turned his attention back to the Chitauri.
Twilight then ran into Principal Cinch, "Twilight, you have been absorbing some of that magic in your little toy, haven't you?" Principal Cinch asked and Twilight nodded nervously ready for a scolding. "It is obvious what you must do, let out the magic in your device to take care of these creatures, once you have saved everyone here I will make sure that CHS forfeits or is disqualified by the obvious acts of cheating they have done with the magic as well as endangering everyone by bringing these creatures here!" Cinch told him sternly.
"But Principal Cinch, I have no idea how this magic works..." Twilight asked but Principal Cinch gave her a stern look at but something else caught Twilight's eye, the sight of the students running away from the Chitauri in terror as well as Peter and the six magical CHS Wondercolts struggling to get people away and being overrun by the number of Chitauri that was left.
"You brought them here Twilight and Peter is stuck here because of you, you have to make this right..." Twilight thought in her head and with a serious look on her face she looked up at Principal Cinch and nodded, a grin forming on the educator's face.
She then opened right the Device and the magical shockwave (that sent Peter's Spider-Sense into overdrive) caused all the remaining Chitauri to suddenly shut down but everyone was now facing Twilight as she seemed to be engulfed by the magic causing her to scream.
Her hair and clothing transformed as well as growing wings and a horn, Peter was fearful for what was happening to his friend as Twilight's transformation was complete and she grinned at all around her. "The Magic is amazing, I can feel its power..." Twilight shouted looking at the portals with a grin "I can study the Magic where it came from and how it works..."
