After their laugh and a good night sleep, Twi grabbed a book, one of her favorites, went outside to greet the new day, her scales shined in the light as she went to her relaxing space. Her relaxing space turned out to be a huge smooth rock, it was just the right shade of gray to absorb enough sunlight to be warm and it was in the right place to have just enough shade to be cooling and relaxing. She claimed it as her own as soon as she found it, it was a dragon thing, she relaxed on the rock and pulled out the book.
She was enjoying her peace and quiet long into the afternoon until Pinkie appeared, "Hey Twilight did you see Rainbow Dash with her amazing stunts this morning? It was hoof-biting action overload! She was a stunt superstar, flying higher and higher, and then Rainbow Dash swooped down--swoosh--and right before she hit the ground--shoom-she pulled up--vroom!"
Pinkie said acting it out on the ground, Twi simply continued to read her book but replayed with a, "Uh-huh." Hoping Pinkie will be done soon.
"And then she looped around and around like whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo!"
Pinkie continued landing on the ground face up, Twi just responded with another, "Uh-huh." Dash flew over them and Pinkie jumped after her Twi let out a "Phew." Glad something else has Pinkie's attention.
"Rainbow Dash!"
Dash grunted as she spotted Pinkie, "Pinkie Pie? Not again." She flew faster.
"Rainbow Dash." Pinkie said running faster.
"Not now, Pinkie Pie."
"But, but Rainbow Dash–"
"I'm in the middle of something."
"But–"
"I said not now--" Dash slammed into a cliff then slid down.
"I was gonna tell you to look out for that mountain."
Dash grumbled, and Twi looked up from her book, "Ouch that had to hurt, isn't that right Daring Do?" She asked her book, finishing the last page, once she finished her book she put it away and simply enjoyed her relaxing until Spike came looking at her with a begging look, she sighed moving aside and allowed him to join her.
The next day Pinkie was humming through town, "Hi, I'm looking for Rainbow Dash. Have you seen her?" Pinkie asked a pony but they shook their head no. "Hi there, have you seen Rainbow Dash?" Another head shaking no, "Okay, thanks anyway." Pinkie hopped to Twi, "Twilight, have you seen Rainbow Dash anywhere?"
"Isn't she right up there?"
Twi asked looking up, Pinkie looked too, "Rainbow Dash." Dash flew off and before Twi could stop her, Pinkie hopped after Dash.
Dash flew towards sweet apple acres and hid behind the barn, she looked out to see nothing, "Phew. That was close."
She turned thinking she lost Pinkie when "Hi!"
"Aah!" Dash said shocked to see Pinkie and flew off again, she hid in Twi's tree, she panted looking out, she started to relax when
"Hi again."
"Aah!" Dash said again flying over hills, Pinkie simply hopped after the rainbow streak, Dash watched this and silently tip-toed in the air towards a lake, she landed thinking she finally lost Pinkie.
"Pfeh. I need a favor, Rainbow Dash." Pinkie said coming out of the lake.
"Waaa--" Dash said preparing to fly off again but she simply plopped back down, "Oh, forget it."
"I totally promise it'll be totally fun."
Dash sighed, "Okay."
Dash held on to a cloud as Pinkie looked at it from the ground, "Over to the right. No no, a little to the left. Oh, wait, back to the right. Now a little leftish while staying rightly. Stop. Hmm. Maybe a few inches to the south. Now a couple centimeters north."
Dash was moving the cloud following Pinkie's orders but she was starting to get annoyed. "Okay. One more smidgimeter to the--"
Dash growled a bit, she couldn't take this anymore, "Pinkie Pie!"
"Uh, I mean, perfect. Now, wait for my signal."
Pinkie looked inside town hall to see Spike humming and carrying a bunch of scrolls, once Spike came outside Pinkie signaled Dash and she kicked the cloud making thunder, "D-aah!" Spike said shocked then started hiccuping.
Pinkie laughed, "Oh Rainbow Dash, we startled Spike into getting the hiccups."
Dash chuckled. "Good one, Pinkie Pie. You're always pulling a fast one on me." Spike said through his hiccups, he held up one scroll but then a hiccup made his fire send it, "Nnaa--"
Pinkie looked a bit worried, "Oh no, you're not hurt are you?"
"Nah, don't be silly, dragons are fire-proof." Spike said still hiccuping.
"Oh, okay, good." Pinkie said then both her and Dash laughed some more.
Spike gathered all the scrolls but another flame hiccup sent them away, "I wish the same thing were true with the scrolls." They continue to laugh as Spike tried to pick up the scrolls but each time a flame hiccup would send them off.
"Have you ever seen anything more hilarious?" Pinkie asked.
"I can think of one thing." Dash said kicking the cloud again thunder boomed startling Pinkie with her own hiccups, she didn't seem to mind though as she laughed between her hiccups.
"I didn't take you for a prankster, Pinkie Pie."
"Are you kidding? I love to pull pranks. It's all in good fun, and Pinkie Pie loves to have fun!" She said between hiccups.
"You know Pinkie Pie, you're not as annoying as I thought." Pinkie hiccuped. "You wanna hang out?"
"That'd be... I'd really... When do... I mean... When would you..." Pinkie tried to ask between her hiccups, but Dash stopped her by sticking her hoof in Pinkie's mouth.
"A simple nod would do." Pinkie nodded.
Pinkie and Dash got a bunch of joke stuff from the joke store, they started with Rarity, placing a vase full of roses on her doorstep then ringing the bell before hiding, "Is she even home?" Dash asked.
"I don't know. This is gonna be gold."
They both chuckled. "There she is." Rarity spotted the roses and stuck her nose in it sniffing them. Then she got pink powder on her nose and started sneezing, both Pinkie and Dash laughed showing the sneezing powder.
Dash dropped it and Pinkie sneezed when some got on her, Rarity simply shook her head, next was Twilight who was spreading out a scroll, she quickly wrote down what she was doing with the potions but as soon as she turned away it disappeared. She turned back and saw the blank scroll, "Hmm?" She looked at it then the potion then back again before her potion exploded lightly, she looked at her ink pot before she heard laughter, she looked out her window to see Dash holding a fading ink bottle.
She smiled lightly as she went to go get some more ink, next was AJ who walked outside her barn to see a bunch of her apples all kinds of colors and patterns, she gasped, "Land sakes!" She heard chuckling and looked over to see Pinkie and Dash holding easels and paintbrushes, they chuckled some more but ran away when AJ started to throw the miscolored apples at them, one landed in a water barrel and the paint washed off, she chuckled when she realized it was washable paint.
Fluttershy was feeding animals and more came, one squeaked, at the end of the squeaky toy's water tube was Pinkie holding the ball to squirt and Dash looking through a telescope. "Is someone over there? Who're we gonna squirt? Who're we gonna squirt?"
Pinkie asked a bit muffled, and Dash chuckled, "Fluttershy."
"WHAT?" Pinkie said spitting the ball out, "No nono no nono, we can't prank Fluttershy, I mean, she's so sensitive. It'll hurt her feelings, even our most harmless prank."
"Yeah, you're right." Dash said, "Huh. We need another victim who's made of tougher stuff. So, who's it gonna be?" Dash asked looking around with a black ring around her left eye.
"Oh, I've got someone in mind. The toughest around." Pinkie said chuckling.
"Oh, awesome. Who? Who? Do I know them?"
Pinkie chuckled pointing in the lake, "Oh, yes. You're very close."
Dash looked in and chuckled, "Good one, Pinkie Pie." She held out her hoof but kept pulling it back whenever Pinkie tried to hit it.
They both laughed as the sun set, "Ridiculous."
Meanwhile Shy looked at the toy and poked it, the head sprung as it squeaked, the next day Pinkie was blowing a party hooter wearing spiral glasses and an arrow headband, "Rise and shine Rainbow Dash! It's a brand new day and we got a lot of pranking to--" An eagle head came out and looked at her. "Ooh."
"Mornin', Pinks." Dash said flying down to her, "Gilda, this is my gal pal, Pinkie Pie."
Gilda flew down and Pinkie's stuff fell off. "Hey. What's up?"
"Pinkie, this is my griffon friend, Gilda."
"What's a griffon?"
"She's half-eagle, half-lion." Dash said as Gilda flew over to Dash.
"And all awesome." Gilda finished hugging Dash, "Raa. Heh-haha. Yeah, that's right." She said as they did some kind of handshake.
"Gilda's my best friend from my days at Junior Speedster flight camp. Hey, remember the chant?"
"Sha, they made us recite it every morning, I'll never get that lame thing out of my head."
"Sooo..." Dash said looking at her.
"Ugh. Only for you, Dash."
They both flew up and chanted, "Junior Speedsters are our lives, sky-bound soars and daring dives, junior Speedsters, it's our quest, to someday be the very best!"
They finished landing, and Pinkie laughed, "Oh that was awesome, and it gave me a great idea for a prank." She said putting her stuff back on, "Gilda, you game?"
"Huh. Well, I groove on a good prank as much as the next griffon."
"But Dash, you promised me we'd get a flying session in this morning." Gilda said flying up.
"Yeah, uh, well, Pinkie Pie, you don't mind, do you? Gilda just got here. We'll catch up with you later."
"Oh. Um, well sure, no problem. Have fun you guys, I'll, uh, just catch up with you--" They flew off, and Pinkie sighed, "Later." She blows party hooter very sadly, later on, Dash and Gilda were flying in the sky, then they landed on a cloud laughing.
"Whoa, that was sweet. Just like old times." Gilda said.
"Yeah, only faster." They hoof bumped, "So now what?"
Pinkie's head popped up, "Hey there." She said before going back down.
"Huh?" They both responded.
"It's later." Pinkie said popping up then back down. "And I caught up." She said doing it again, and looking down you could see a giant trampling Pinkie was using.
"Pinkie Pie, you are so random." Dash said watching Pinkie pop in and out, Gilda didn't look so happy.
"Hey Dash, think you got enough gas left to beat me to that cloud?"
"A race? You are so on."
"One, two, three, go."
They both flew off leaving Pinkie behind, "Hey!" She said watching them go.
"I win." Dash said.
"As if. I won, dude."
"No way."
"Yes, way." Balloons started to float behind them without them noticing.
"Oh, come on, I was way ahead of you."
"Uh, I don't think so."
"Oh Geez, dream on."
"Remember back in camp? I–"
"There is no way you beat me."
"Whatever."
"Wow, guys." Pinkie said startling them both, "That was really close, but I think Rainbow Dash beat you by a teeny weeny itty bitty hair, or a teeny weeny itty bitty feather."
"Hah, see? Good thing Pinkie Pie's here to keep you honest, G."
"Okay... Dash, last one to that cloud up there is a gnarly dragon egg. Go!" Dash flew off leaving a cloud of smoke but Gilda stayed behind, " I think the high altitude is making you dizzy." She said to Pinkie popping her balloons then flying off.
"Wait, guys!" Pinkie said floating down.
The two landed on another cloud when, "Oh wow, you guys almost got away from me that time." Pinkie appeared peddling in some kind of contraption, Gilda looked upset again,
"So, Dash, got any new moves in your tricktionary, or are you 100% old school?"
"New moves? Heh, sit back G, this is gonna take a while." Dash said flying off.
"Hey Pinkie, c'mere."
"Yeah?"
"Don't you know how to take get lost for an answer? Dash doesn't need to hang with a dweeb like you now that I'm around."
"You're dorkin' up the skies, Stinkie Pie, so make like a bee and BUZZ OFF." Gilda said grabbing onto Pinkie's contraption blades making Pinkie spin around instead, then she let go making Pinkie spin around out of control and fall to the ground.
"Try matching that. Hey, where's Pinkie Pie and her crazy contraption?" Dash asked coming back.
"Eh, she left. Something about being as busy as a bee."
Pinkie crashed on the ground but seemed fine, she slowly got up and let out a "Hmph!"
