//------------------------------// // LTF Foundation (Intro) // Story: My Little Foundation: Love. Tolerate. Fear. // by Tropical Applejack //------------------------------// Warning: Classified Information This file, and all ones following it, are from the same confidential source. All reports and descriptions are confidential, and should information fall to an unclassified civilian, that civilian will be brought in for questioning and, if need be, their family. Threats to the individual are legal and advised; fear is control, and control must be kept on these documents. Note: Should you be among these unclassified individuals, do NOT panic. Simply turn in these documents to the nearest fully trusted leader (Your local mayor or any of the alicorn princesses will suffice). Nothing of consequence will occur to you if you haven’t shared information, so stop reading if you still have not. The Foundation: Founded shortly after the first incident [see Interview Log with LTF-173], the Foundation is devoted to keeping all strange, misunderstood, or otherwise dangerous objects away from the public eye and hoof. Here, the team sees to the protection and containment of all aforementioned things and ponies that propose at least some threat to the general populace. It is located beneath [REDACTED], with more than [REDACTED] on-site containment chambers, all with their own unique LTF item. LTF: LTF is actually just an acronym. It stands for the Love, Toleration, and Friendship of Equestria, but it’s more commonly referred to as an acronym for the classes used in identifying the level of potential danger that items have outside the facility: Love, Tolerate, Fear. Object Classification: Love, although sounding as if the LTF will not promote danger, implies that the Foundation has found a way to safely and efficiently contain it. Safe objects are believed to be completely known. Only during the event of a containment breach do they still pose a threat. Tolerate is just as the name would imply; these items can be managed, but still provide some challenge and significant danger - especially in the event of a breach. Fear is the highest classification level. Only the two highest levels of security are given to their containment chambers; they are the most dangerous, as they could possibly cause an end-of-Equestria scenario - involving both genocide and mass destruction - if not contained properly. As their classification hints, these should be feared and avoided at all costs when not being experimented on or trying to be contained. Clearance Levels: There are five levels of security in the facility. The higher the level, the higher classification it has. Safe objects require security of no higher than 3. Tolerable objects are accessible to those with Level 3 or 4 Security Clearance, depending on documented classification required. Feared objects are the most classified, with only personnel of Level 4 or 5 gaining access. Documents of every individual LTF are classified to those with both the right clearance to the actual LTF and all personnel only one level below the right clearance. In the event that a clearance level changes, so too does access to the document and employed staff placement on the respective LTF. Foundation Staff: Staff consists of four easy-to-remember Classes: A, B, C, and D, all with specific regulations and clearance levels decreasing as the list goes down. Class A consists of only the most-esteemed officials in Equestria, better known as authorized members of the royal families. Current authorization granted to: Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Discord, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Spike (only accompanied by another Class-A), Princess Cadance, Prince Shining Armor, and all Elements of Harmony (on request). This class is allowed maximum access, and they are the only ones to receive Level 5 (Maximum) Clearance keycards. Any other possession or reproduction of these cards is to be destroyed, and the user is to be questioned. The same goes for Elements of Harmony who have not requested their visit. Class B is made up of some of the smartest ponies in Equestria, conducting the research and organizing experiments that Class A isn’t always around for. Among these individuals, who have all sworn themselves to secrecy with Class A, are trusted doctors like Doctor Horse and Nurse Redheart. Doctor Whooves, too, is a part of the team, unlike his counterpart [see LTF-049]. Also among them are several former students of the royal family. This group is often led by the calculations of Princess Twilight and Princess Cadance when they have the time to spare. Researchers are provided Level 1 Clearance keycards upon employment, and they may work their way up to Level 4. Class C (Security) is sworn to secrecy, just as Class B, but their job isn’t quite as important; though, some of the staff would argue that Class C provides what neither of the two preceding groups could: subjects to experiment on and the muscle (or disciplinary action) to get those subjects where they need to go. Class C is also provided Level 1 keycards upon joining the staff; they may earn up to a Level 3 keycard as they put hours in, but they may not, under any circumstance, be given clearance above Level 3. Class D Personnel (Test Subjects): The “subjects” mentioned above are created at the start of each month. At this time, all Class C’s will congregate at the Mirror Pool [see LTF-001], using the mined cavern under [REDACTED] [see LTF-003] to get there. Once there, they will all take turns cloning exactly one copy of themselves before subduing them whether through magic or strength to prevent the clone from cloning itself, thus making it impossible to tell the clones from the original in time [see Incident LTF-001-A]. The incapacitated clones are then taken back through LTF-003 and placed into individual cells until they awake for whatever Class B or A may have in store for them. A small squad of guards then escorts the clone (most often not their own clone, to further prevent risk) to the assigned containment chamber of the LTF they have been chosen for experimenting with. Experiments often include two or three Class D’s, but the past has shown that the upper Classes have at one point or another asked for any number between one and twenty (though the latter has only happened once, and it is not recommended in future tests [see Incident LTF-1162-A]). At the end of every month, all on-site unicorns (and alicorns if any) are given the task to use magic to send all Class D personnel back into LTF-001 to be summoned again the following day. This is to decrease the chances of an uprising; the memories of the clones’ experience as a Class D have all shown to be wiped by LTF-001. Specialization: Always in the Foundation, there are many jobs to be done, and some ponies are better at certain jobs than others. For example, earth ponies work best at being Class C, and unicorns make up most of Class B. Class A, as stated before, consists mostly of alicorns. The lack of pegasi staff is currently being looked into. It is unknown at the time of writing why any and all pegasus staff have quit within a week of starting their work at the facility, but testing and theorizing has nearly confirmed that it is somehow connected to the Rainbow Dash clone found in sector-██ [see LTF-106] and/or the Fluttershy clone in sector-██ [see LTF-096]. Addendum A: From this point forward, there shall be no more unicorns occupying the facility as a Class-C [see incident LTF-001-A]. Addendum B: Cloning and Class C employment of both pegasi and unicorns is now strictly prohibited [see incident LTF-001-B]. Anypony caught of committing this offense is to be reprimanded and demoted a level if possible.
