//------------------------------// // The Only Chapter Necessary // Story: Sonata Drooled Again. . . // by PirateCattheShipper //------------------------------// Aria Blaze woke to a sticky, thick liquid sticking to her pillow. Moonlight dappled Adagio's orange face in front of Aria, and the purple girl blinked, shifting to face where Sonata Dusk would be laying. The blue Siren wasn't there. "Oh, damn you ya little dumb-nugget!" Aria cursed, reaching for the end of the bed and hooking her fingers to it. She heaved herself drowsily over the edge to look down upon Sonata, who was sprawled out on the ground with a pool of saliva masking her face and staining the purple-and-gold rug she was sprawled out on. "F****ing idiot!" Aria sat up begrudgingly and wiped the cold, fat drool from her face. I wouldn't be surprised if she licks me in my sleep! Aria tossed her pillow over the edge of the bed, not caring when it smacked Sonata's face and she let out a muffled squeak. "There's something attacking my face!" Sonata thrashed wildly, thrusting the pillow from her face and throwing her fists blindly at it. "Adagio! Adagio help me!" She yowled, scrambling to her feet and leaping on the bed. Aria growled when the blue-haired Siren hugged her tight and pressed her nose to her cheek. "Oh, Aria! There was this fluffy monster and--" "It was called a pillow, Taco-Lady!" Aria spat, pushing Sonata away savagely. Tears swelled in Sonata's eyes and she howled. "Adgiooooo! Aria's being a meany!" "Oh, for waters' sake! WOULD YOU TWO JUST SHUT UP!!!!" Adagio Dazzle snapped, her tone biting. She resisted the urge to just give in and let her anger overtake her. "J-Just. . .Go for a walk or something! I don't care! Go bother Sunset Shimmer!" "Sunnyyyyyyyyyyyy!" Sonata cheered, her tears drying on her spit-encrusted cheeks. She wiped her face with an arm before stumbling out of bed and practically falling down the stairs. "A-Adagio?" Aria stuttered, scratching her neck nervously. "Yes, idiot?" Came the careless, half asleep reply. N-Never mind. . .It's not that important. . . Aria stifled a whale of frustration. "I think I. . .Well, I know this girl. . .And she really likes Sonata, but. . .Sh-she doesn't know how to handle it. . ." "She should just. . ." Adagio held back a heavy yawn. "I don't care about your dumb friend. Who is she anyway?" "W-Well. . .Y-You wouldn't know." The lie caught in Aria's throat. She parted her jaws to stutter more out, but Sonata interrupted her. She let a sigh of relief escape her. "Aria glad I found some tacos???" Sonata yelled around a mouthful, taco seeping through her teeth and stuffing up her cheeks. Aria grunted. "Go to sleep, Sonata. I wish you weren't such a big baby!" "Oh, really? Because I wish you weren't such a gigantic baby!" "Oh, you're gonna get it!" "Get what? Your I-have-anger-issues disease? No, thanks!" Sonata waggled her head side to side. "Get some sleep! Would you two idiots just shut the f*** up for once?" Adagio bellowed, rage bubbling up inside of her. Sonata and Aria exchanged guilty glances. "We're sorry. . ." They mumbled. "Good to hear." Adagio wriggled into a comfy position and shut her eyes, her thoughts transforming into a world of black nothingness. Aria crawled into bed, refusing to use either her or Sonata's pillow. Instead, she cupped her hand under her aching head, feeling a twinge of regret as her hand fell deep asleep. Yet Sonata's snoring eased her to sleep. Something wet brushed across Aria's cheek. "Daw, stoppit!" She chuckled, squirming around. "Th-that tickles!" The wetness only pressed harder. "Tacos. . .Tacos. . .Tacos. . ." A soft voice whispered in her ear. She felt something hard and a little wet clamp down on her ear, the pain starting to throb as the teeth pressed in harder and harder. "No, no! Stoppit, stoppit!" Aria could picture tacos gnawing on her ear, stopping every so often to stroke their tongues across her cheek. Aria's eyes flew open, and she sagged with relief when she realized that what'd just happened had only been a dream. But she tensed up when something soft and wet stroked against her cheek again. . .Slowly she turned her gaze to Sonata. . . "SONATA!!!!" Aria brayed. "YOUR LICKING ME!!! AND BITING!!! GET OFF!!!!" Aria wiggled and shoved Sonata away. As the taco-loving teenager slowly rolled off of the bed, she whispered loudly; "Nooooo. . .Tacos, so tasty. . .Tacos. . .Back, come. . ." Her words were jumbled together and distorted, but finally she hit the ground with a thump and woke with a start. "Huh? What? Where'd all those delicious tacos go?!" Her voice was indignant and thick with longing. "Aria! What'd you do to my taco babies?" "You! You, you, you! You were licking me! and biting! Licking, biting! ME!" Aria's voice was dripping with dismay and anger. She sat up, her face animated with rage and her cheeks flaming a deep crimson. Adagio twitched and yawned, turning and snuggling so that she faced Aria. Aria's heart almost stopped when she thought that Adagio was awake, but luckily their leader was in a deep trance of sleep. Probably dreaming of guys and their "magic". Aria thought with a scoff. "W-Well. . ." Sonata climbed back into bed, throwing the covers (blankets) over her and cuddling into Aria, "I'm sorry for that." Aria didn't reply. Instead, she exasperated a heavy, scratchy sigh and nuzzled back into sleep, hoping somewhat desperately Sonata wouldn't dream of her being a taco again. But yet there was a small part of her that wished Sonata would. Perhaps she could fight back this time? Nah. She conceded. I just wanna sleep. "Oh, damn you Sonata. . ." Aria muttered disdainfully, wiping the drool from her face. "How do you get your drool in so many impossible places?" She turned her head to look at Sonata, who was sleeping peacefully with her arms wrapped tightly around Aria's waste and a bubble of spit expanding and shrinking on her mouth with every breath. Aria wriggled from Sonata's grip and stumbled out of bed. The morning sun cast large patches of light shining through the windows and lightening the room. Adagio was already up, tripping over her feet in attempt to get out of the light. She half fell, half walked downstairs. Curiously, Aria followed Adagio. She knew it was wrong to snoop, but what else did she have to do? "Uh, Adagio? What are you doing?" Aria asked, in her usual careless tone. "Getting breakfast." Adagio retorted, opening a wooden cabinet on the wall and pulling out a box of cereal. Hunger lagged at her belly, and it rumbled as she took out a glass bowl and started to pour the cereal into it. "Why don't you go for a walk?" The cunning Siren suggested sleepily, her sight clearing. Aria's gaze was still bleary, and she was still in PJ's, but she accepted, just getting dressed before walking out the door with a cold "goodbye". She walked out resentfully, a blast of cool air whipping her face, stinging her eyes and nose. Shivering, Aria shut the door behind her and, clutching her coat tight with her gloved hands, walked shakily along the sidewalk of town. I feel like Adagio doesn't like me nor Sonata, thought Aria with a twinge of sorrow. Deep down she knew that Adagio cared for her and Sonata, but the orange-haired teenager sure didn't act like it. Well, at least Sonata seems to care. That dumb idiot. Aria scoffed lovingly, shaking her head with a smile creeping into her face and spreading. Her teeth flashed in the morning sun and she stretched, relishing its touch on her shivering shoulders. She was starting to get used to the cold and could just feel it now. Suddenly, out of nowhere, footsteps pattered rapidly behind Aria and before she had time to turn a body slammed into her, causing her to wheeze at the force. "Heeeey, Ari~!" Sonata purred, her arms wrapped tight around her companions stomach and a warm smile on her blue face. "Watchya dooin'?" She asked enthusiastically. "None of your business!" Aria barked, shoving Sonata away and walking stiffly ahead. "Taco-Lady. . ." She muttered darkly. "But Ari!" Sonata stood frozen, as though glued to the spot, her magenta eyes big and sparkling against the gloom. Her bottom lip jutted out and she hung her arms in defeat. Aria just walked on. Just ignore her, just ignore her, just ignore her. . .the cute little dumbtart! She risked a glance back at the dejected girl, getting smaller and smaller with each step. "But I. . .I love you. . ." With a words Aria felt a jolt. It was as though Sonata was thinking the same thing. . . No! Stop being so silly! Aria chided herself. Silly is Sonata's thing. . .She thought dreamily, blinking. The sun caught in her purple eyes and they shimmered in the light. Sonata was pounding closer. . . "Wh-Why'd you leave me?" Sonata cried. "You don't love me?" She whimpered, tugging on Aria's coat sleeve with insistent hands and glistening eyes. She stared intently at Aria's face, studying it hard as though a kitten waiting to pounce. Just, in this case, waiting for a response. And what a response she got. Aria growled in pure hatred before whipping her head around to face Sonata directly. She squeezed the not-so-smart Sirens' shoulders, gripping tight, and pulled her in savagely for a kiss. Dork, thought Aria, resisting a scoff, as Sonata tensed up and froze. She pulled back just before Sonata regained her consciousness. "Your a bad kisser, ya know?" "Well, your the baddest!" Sonata shot back, jabbing her index finger to the middle of Aria's collar bone. The blue singers' touch sent static through Aria's body. She looked down at Sonata's hand, slowly dragging her gaze up to the blue teen in disbelief. "Am not!" She finally hissed back.
