be they earth pony, unicorn, or pegasi.
May the shadows ever be my cloak, and the night my ally true, as I stand against all who would wish this nation harm.
May mine be the spear that shall never break, and the shield that shall not yield; that I might never fail nor falter in my duties.
With faith and loyalty I make this vow, and so do pledge my life.
Until the day I am relieved of service, or Death takes me to join the stars.
I shall live not for myself but for those whom I hold most dear.
