Banished

Part Two

And so they wandered around the lands until Adagio stopped them.

“I feel like that this is a very much different time,” she said.

“What do you mean?” the others said.

“I think that we might be in the future, it feels very different.”

“What do you mean?” they said.

“I think that we didn’t come out when we should have.”

“So if that’s true then what could possibly be the reason for this?”

“Fate, I don’t really know, but come on girls, let’s go.”

And with that said they wandered around until they found a store or shop called Sugarcube Corner, and
then they went inside.

“Well hello there, girls,” Mrs. Cake said, “How are you tonight?”

“Not well, we’re very far away from home and lost,” Sonata said.

“Oh dear, well where is your home exactly?”

“Equestria, have you ever heard of it? Sonata said curiously.

“No, I’m afraid not, but you shouldn’t be out this late anyways, I mean don’t you have any parents or at least someone to look out for you?”

“No, we don’t, we have no parents or anybody,” Sonata said, “We have no one but ourselves, and that’s all that we need, right girls?”

“Yes,” they both said at once, but Mrs. Cake shook her head.

“Oh no, oh dear, this simply cannot be, you should have someone to look out after for you, I just wish that I could, but I can’t without legal legislation and law and the approval of authority, but for now I guess that you can stay here.”

“Thanks a lot,” Adagio said, “But we don’t need your help and we can’t accept it either, and besides, we don’t have anything to ever repay you with.”

“Oh don’t be silly,” she said, “I can’t leave you children all alone at night, but don’t worry, you’ll be fine now, so just stay here and rest please, and by the way, I never got your names, mine is Mrs. Cake, but what are yours?”

“Adagio,” she said, “And this is Aria and Sonata,” she said pointing at them.

“We can speak for ourselves you know,” Aria said, “And perhaps maybe just for once in your very long life you can listen to us, or rather me to be specific.”

“Aria, we’ve talked about this before, I am in charge here.”

“If by talk you mean avoided the topic, then yes, we did, but we never ‘talk’ about anything anymore ever since you took over,” Aria said.

“It seems like you girls have some issues to sort out, but just wait right here and I’ll be right back with my husband,” Mrs. Cake said as she left.

“The reason I took over is because I am the oldest here,” she said.

“And the smartest and wisest and best, yeah, we know that,” Aria said.

“Are you complaining? Because if you are then I don’t like it.”

“Oh trust me, you would know if I was complaining about anything, or rather to be more specific, something, but trust me, I haven’t even started yet.”

“Aria, so help me I will kill you if you ever try to take control again.:”

“Yeah, whatever,” she said just shrugging it off.

“Well fine then, act that way, be that way, I don’t care, whatever, but what we do need is an anatomy book so that we know what these are called,” she said moving her fingers, “I am very uncomfortable in this new
body of mind.”

“Yeah, you’re one to talk, how do you think that we feel?” Aria said.

“Those tacos were delicious…” Sonata said to herself.

“Girls! Pleas just focus! We need a home and a place to feed off of magic, and I think that Mrs. Cake will be the key and way to get what we want.”

“How so?” they said.

“This is a shop or store, and I think that if we ask we can find out if it is ‘popular’ or not, and if it is, this will be a very good place to be.”

“Oh, well then, that is a very good idea, for once at least,” Aria said.

“What do you ever mean by that exactly?” Adagio said.

“Going to Ponyville, that was a bad choice, especially when you knew that the princess was currently there, and not to mention that old wizard.”

“He was not a part of my calculations, a variable, a mistake that won’t ever be repeated again, and I’m sorry that we’re stuck here now, but there’s nothing to do except go through it and collect magic to get back
home once more again.”

“But he said that there was no magic here, what if he’s telling the truth?”

“If the wizard was telling the truth then we’ll just have to find another way back so that we can kill him,” Adagio said with a very deep low growl.

“Okay girls, I’m back,” Mrs. Cake said bringing her husband along with her, “Is everything alright and fine? I thought that I heard arguing back here.”

“Everything is just fine,” Adagio said standing up and using her magic to manipulate her memory, “You
heard nothing, and everything is just fine,”

“Alright, fine then,” Mrs. Cake said, “But would you girls like anything at all?”

“Tacos!” Sonata said blissfully ignorant that it was a candy shop or store.

“Oh sorry dear, we only have sweets here,” Mrs. Cake said smiling.

“That’s okay then, give me whatever you recommend then.”

“Alright then, I guess that I’ll give you whatever I like and love then.”

And with that said she went to the display counter and got some chocolate and then brought it to them, “Anything else that you need?”

“Yes, an anatomy book,” Adagio said, “Do you have one.”

“Oh goodness me, no, and I don’t think that I have ever gotten that request before, but there is an excellent library at Canterlot High School and also Crystal Prep, but speaking of school, are you girls in it?”

“No, do we need to be?” Adagio said.

“Oh yes, you do,” Mrs. Cake said, “Oh my, this is much worse than I thought.”

“Trust me, what you thought wouldn’t ever compare,” Adagio said.

“I’m sure that it would, but I think that I may know someone who can take you in, isn’t that so very lucky for you girls?” Mrs. Cake said very happily.

“Sure thing,” Adagio said sarcastically, she didn’t care for their new ‘home’, they all wanted to go to their real true home back in Equestria, but they couldn’t since she had detected weak magic coming from this whole entire place and possibly world, obviously it would never be enough to get back home again. And then soon enough Mrs. Cake came back to them again.

“She said yes!’ she said, “I can’t actually believe it!”

“Who said yes exactly?” they said.

“Cadence did, from Crystal Prep, she’ll look after you until you can get back on your feet again, and she’ll give you everything that you could need there.”

“Oh good,” Adagio said very sarcastically.

“I know, right?” Mrs. Cake said, and then with that said she waited for Cadence to come, and soon enough she did come and took them away.

“Bye girls! Come back soon to talk! Our store is always open to you!”

And with that said Cadence drove them over to her home and showed them around, “Now then, a few rules until the papers come in to make this legal, one, no staying out or up after ten for weekdays, and twelve for the weekends.

Number two, you are to go here to this school to determine what you need to learn and what you already have, number three, even though you can explore the city, I would highly recommend and advise you not to without me.

And that’s about it basically, but do be warned, I am a very early riser for school, and by the way, here’s the
anatomy book you requested for some reason, I mean I don’t know why, but who am I to judge?”

And with that said she left and Adagio quickly went through the book, “This is very interesting,” she said, “These humans have no horns or wings, ever at all, and no magic, they seem even weaker than the ponies back home.”

“But are they?” Aria said as Sonata read through it.

“I would guess so, their auras certainly seemed weak, but come on now girls, we have gotten through worse before, and we can do it again, together.”

“But what if we can’t? What if we’re stuck here in this miserable horrible land?” Aria said pouting to herself as she lay in bed in the room that they were given by Cadence who seemed very nice and kind and
generous as well too.

“Then we’ll just have to get through this together, and we can and will, we may be banished from Equestria, but no matter what we will always have each other, and no matter what you do, I will always still have you too.” And with that said they smiled, and then eventually went to sleep in their exile.
