==========SPIKE POV==========
"Spike, be a dear and pass the cucumber sandwiches please?" The mane 6, Discord, and I were having a picnic in Twi's south garden. A.J. and Rainbow were sitting up on the hill, Twi and Pinkie were sitting down by the river. Rarity and I were sitting under a willow tree. Fluttershy and Discord were sitting facing away from me.
I picked up the platter with my tail, then passed them over to her. I noticed now she didn't use her levitation. She reached for it with her hoof, and touched my tail. We both blushed, and looked away.
"How has your Las Pegasus branch been? I heard it has been doing very well since Twi talked about it at the last summit."
She brightend instantly. "Why, yes! It has been just a rage, and according to a recent poll..."
I couldn't listen anymore. That dazzling smile, those dazzling lazuli eyes, I could sit there for hours. And I think I did.
"Well, I must be off. I have a massive load of work due next week. Goodbye Spikie-wikey!"
I smiled.
I stood up and looked around. Dear Celestia! it was past sunset! I picked up the blanket we were sitting on, and folded it up. As I started to walk away, I noticed that Rarity's glasses were sitting on the ground. I picked them up and brushed them off. They must have fallen out of her bag. I decided to return them tonight, so she can finish her work.

I knocked on the door, hoping she hadn't gone to sleep yet. It was way past sunset, after all.
==========RARITY POV==========
Who in the name of Celestia could that be? I had heard a knock at my door. It was past sunset! I walked past the marequinn holding my work -- a absolutely amazing saddle, if i do say so myself, -- and walked downstairs to answer the door. It was Spike!
"Why Spike! what are you doing here at such a late hour?
"Oh, well, you left your glasses at Twi's. I thought I would bring them by now, just in case you needed them."
He looked at me as he handed me my glasses. His beautiful peridot eyes, those amazing magenta scales...
Rarity!
"Why thank you spike!" I took them and set them on the table, shaking my head mentally. "Come in, it looks like it's about to rain."
I turned and walked further into my shop.
"I do hope you would be able to make it home okay." I heard no reply. I turned and found Spike staring at me. I looked again into those beautiful eyes. I do believe we stood there for quite a bit, until a clap of thunder woke us from our trance.
"Oh, um, well I guess I should get going back home then."
"Um, yes. I guess."
But he didn't move. And i'm glad. I almost subconsciously took a step toward him. I was only a couple hooves from his face...
He shook his head and walked out the door.
