@all: Well, I have a few announcements to make, and not all of them good :( As some of you know I have been struggling with some issues for quite some time. Without going into details, there are some things between me and my parents. Apparently, things that can't be settled as easily as I hoped.
Yesterday's scare got me thinking about someone dear to me who I'd been avoiding lately (if you read this, you were right all along). Everything changes and maybe it's time I did as well, instead of waiting for a disaster to do it for me.
Midnight Castle has been my life for ever since I could remember, and I'm not quitting anytime soon. I just need a while to figure out my next steps. With that, I won't be logging on for a while after this post. If you send any replies or PMs I'll not look at them until I return.
Most of you know me in real life, some quite well, so I ask please give me some space the next week, okay? I know you are there for me, but this is one thing you can't help.
CodeFilly will be in charge of the site while I'm gone. She's a wonderful pony, even if a bit shy, and will take great care of things. Please be nice to her, okay? Tech will keep on being as magnificent as he's always been and deal with features in a professional fashion. I'm also making MixaMax a Mod. She'll be dealing with community issues and make sure the site remains organized.
Sorry I have to do this :( These last few weeks have been the best of my life. I'd have wanted to make the site look a bit better, but I'm sure that you girls will make it shine in my place.

@RRBB: I feel you. :( Well, for now just make the announcement here. I'll be adding a few new sections: Discussions (for anything related to the new books) and Fiction (for anything fanfic related, including story and help discussions). This will become General and Rumors will remain as it is.
New rule: discussions of new MC stories are considered rumors until one week after store release. (Special Events don't count as a store release).

Okay. So we have our new series. Technically the announcement will be made sometime today, but at this point I might as well share what I know.
The new series (volume 7) will be called Midnight Castle: Everhere and will have the following cast: Danny, Eric, Bellucio, Omni, Blazen, Karl, Megan (no surprises), Molly (argh! Kill me now!), and Euryala ("an unorthodox character, who's been an undercover operative of the Corporate Overview Bureau as part of the Warlockwings mage squadron.")
It's not mentioned, but I think events are likely to take place a few years after the end of Mistmount Chronicles.

@RRBB: O!M!G! Warlockwings mage squadron? That sounds so cool! Do you think they'll be flying and all? So far only Danny was given flight, but we know Megan can fly with Firefly, and Bellucio has his secret aether wings (I think Eric knows about them, though). Do you think the others will get fly powers as well?
Omni also has a few scenes flying, but that was mostly him mixing potions and drinks.

Megan and Molly get a role increase? Are you kidding? Are you bucking kidding me?!? Girls in an all boys cast? I get it they want to broaden the audience, but seriously? No offense, but what do colts that young know about romance? Looks pretty much like wish fulfillment to me! As much as I like to think it's pandering to us, I doubt it.
And this new character. Argh! Mysterious character, blah blah bla! I could go on about this, but Tech will probably ban me from the site (sorry bby *nuzzles*). They could have at least bothered to check the name :/ It's the same as one of Bellucio's maids. She was even referred to in 4 stories! She even had interaction in one of them, claiming to have been with the family since before he was born. :/
I don't know, but I don't see this as a positive thing. They should just have gone with the a new setting. Maybe the age gap thing with the gr8 making appearances from time to time. Plus it would have been great to see their kids. (As much as I and everypony else hate Mellucio, I could see them having a cute kid: vane and daring.)
Guess all I can do is wait and see.

Now you understand how I felt with Mistmount Chronicles. To be perfectly honest, I was very skeptical when that version came out. Back at the time I even went so far as to say that S.Child was only doing it for the money. I never expected the series to amount to anything. Volume four, though, thoroughly changed my mind.
What I'm trying to say is, be skeptical as much as you want, but keep an open mind. This new direction might surprise us in a positive way.

She is female.
Her model and character are modeled after an existing top ranking Wonderbolt.
I can get you autographs of said top ranking Wonderbolt, but only to a small group.
You might not have to wait till Nightmare Night to learn more of the series.
