Tai was chilling outside of the Carousel Boutique, watching the clouds pass by. He could see shapes in the clouds, pointing them out to himself and laughing at what he saw-Agumon, Demidevimon, and so much more. But just then, he could feel the ground shake, and suddenly, a green-eyed, purple shadow burst through the ground. At the same time, various digimon also jumped out of the crack in the ground. As Tai went off to chase them, he heard TK shout out his name. So he stopped, and TK caught up to him.
"Where are you going, Tai?" He asked. At that, Tai realized he had no idea where he was going. But he gave chase to the digimon anyway. TK followed close.

Mimi had tried to summon more digimon for aids, but none had come. She was starting to doubt that she hadn't summoned them, when the now beautifully pink doors burst open, and digimon came flowing in. She spotted some she recognized, even Palmon, but then she also saw some digimon that she had never expected to see again in a million years-Devimon, Leomon, and so much more. But a few seconds later, following them was none other than Tai and TK. Izzy stepped out from behind the curtain for a second to see that It was indeed them. Mimi crossed her arms and smiled. The digimon in sight suddenly tuned to them, and when Mimi pointed a claw at Tai and TK, the digimon attacked them, or at least tried to. Izzy had rushed out from the curtain to lead them out. Tai led the group back to Ponyville.

Celestia had been needing to talk to Luna and had been waiting for her in the chambers. Just then, the doors behind her opened, and one of the palace guards rushed in, panting heavily.
"Yes, Flash?" She said.
"We have reports of Nightmare Moon in the palace!" He said. Celestia's eyes went wide. She rushed towards the room, and when she arrived the door had been blown up. Shining blue particles were left over the remains of the door. Suddenly the particles launched at Celestia and and surrounded her. When they stopped, in Celestia's place was a huge crater in the floor. The guards in the palace all listened to Nightmare Moon cackle evily.

Tai had led TK and Izzy back to the Castle of Friendship to tell Twilight and their friends about what they had seen. But when they arrived at the center of Ponyville, they saw a black pony with turquoise mane and tail, and a small scraggly crown on her head. Tai could see TK's eyes go wide. When Tai asked TK what was up, he said he had recognized them, from one of Twilight's history books. He said her name was Queen Chrysalis, the queen of the changelings. He said changelings could turn into whatever they wanted. When Tai looked at her further, though he realized that behind her was none other than Kari. When Queen Chrysalis spotted them, she smiled and cackled. Then she took off, taking her pod of changelings with her.
