//------------------------------// // Part One // Story: Banished // by Silver Inkwell //------------------------------// Suddenly the world turned around the sirens when they were banished to another world without any magic by the great and powerful wizard Star Swirl. Suddenly they were no longer in Equestria anymore, but a new different world that was strange and unusual to them, and also quite odd as well. The three of them tumbled to the ground in a pile and Adagio struggled to get up in her new form and shape, and when she did she screamed. “WHAT AM I?” she said in shock and surprise looking at herself. “I have no idea,” Sonata said, “But you look good.” “Shut up you fool! We have to get back to Equestria now, so come on now, stand up and use the magic of the gems to return!” And with that said they all stood on their legs (even if it was a bit wobbly at first as they tried to adapt to their new form/ shape) and they tried to use the magic held inside their gems to create a portal home, but it failed instead. “Why won’t this work?” Adagio screamed in frustration and anger, “It should work.” “Yes it should unless there is the ever slightly small chance that the wizard was telling the truth to us, and if he did, do you really think that we’re without magic?” Sonata said. “Well of course not! My gem still activated, that must mean there’s some magic, even if it is weak, but come now girls, let’s see if we can cause some trouble here,” and with that said the group followed after her. Soon enough they realized that they had no idea where they were going or for that matter anything else that pertained to this world, but they could all clearly tell that it was evening time in this world now. “Do you think that anyone will be awake, or even here?” Sonata said. “Maybe,” Adagio said, “But I don’t really know now do I? I mean it’s not like any of us have ever visited a world that’s completely different and separate from our own now? Because if we did that would be both crazy and nice to know right now.” And with that said they went on until Sonata spoke up once more again. “I’m hungry,” she said, “Can we go get something to eat?” “No, we’re going to try to find some magic to get us back home!” Adagio screamed loudly, “And if anyone has an objection to that speak up now!” The group remained silent and she smiled, “Good then, let us continue on then,” and with that said they went on in search of magic. Well at least they did until Sonata finally smelled some delicious food. “WAIT, STOP!” she shouted, “I SMELL SOME FOOD!” “Sonata,” Adagio growled angrily, “Don’t get distracted away from the mission or goal, we have to find magic, food can come later.” “No,” she said, “Magic can come later, the food might not stay.” “Fine then, get some food if you can and then we’ll move on.” And with that said Sonata rushed over to the food cart in a hurry before Adagio changed her mind and could object. “Hey there,” she said, “What’s on the menu today?” “Well,” the man said, “We have some tacos here if you want to try them out.” “How much for them?” she asked (since he was alone and therefore could not use her magic to cause a fight or persuade him otherwise, and also just because she was curious about what the currency of this land could be). “Well for the first one it’s free and on the house, after that it will be five bucks for one and ten for two.” “Alright then,” Sonata said, “I’ll tale one for free then, and I also would assume that this ‘bucks’ is the currency of the land?” “Well yeah,” he said, “But they’re more of ‘Dollars’ and not real Deer if that’s what you’re thinking about, and say, you look new around here, where are you girls from exactly?” “Where from Equestria,” she said hoping he would recognize the name. “Hmmm… well I can’t say that I have ever heard of that before, but anyways here’s your free taco, I hope that you don’t just like it but love it instead.” And with that said he handed Sonata the delicious food called ‘taco’ and then she took a bite out of it as her eyes lit up. “Oh my gosh,” she said between bites, “I really do like and love it, in fact I think that I rather enjoy it, it’s just a shame that we don’t have any money.” “No money?” the man said, “Well then, I guess that’s your last taco for now, come back when and if you have any money, I’ll still be open by then.” And with that said the man closed up his shop very slowly ignoring the girls just outside of his food cart as they continued to talk quietly. “Well you have your food now; can we continue our search now?” Adagio said. “Yes,” she said still taking bites out of it, “But I don’t think that we will have any if much luck at all.” “Why is that exactly?” Adagio said. “Because my gem felt weak when we got here, and this world’s magic could be very different from our own making it impossible for us to harvest, or perhaps maybe the magic is just weaker in general.” “Perhaps,” Adagio said, “But we’ll take what we can get, come on girls, we have a long way to go if we ever want revenge on that wizard.” And so they began their quest of trying to find a way back home (with much failure and disappointment lined up along the way for them) and Sonata on the other hand began her lifelong weird crazy obsession over the food called ‘tacos’. And so their banishment was not a happy one (as most should be).
