Bonding

Chapter 1: A nice weekend alone(?)

Ice was having a pretty good start to his weekend. It was a beautiful day, breakfast was ready, and his brothers were crowded in front of the TV. 'Some things never change.', he thought with a smile as he sat down to eat with them. "So what's today's program."

"Power Rangers.", Ace stated. "Hey, I got an idea!"

"What is it?", Shadow asked.

"What if they made a power rangers series based on Duel Monsters? It'd be so cool!" Ace's brothers let out a chuckle.

"It'd be a good story.", Ice said. His phone then buzzed. "Huh. A text from Indigo. Wanna meet up later? I've got no plans! Sorry guys, but I've got a date waiting."

"Have fun!", Ace and Shadow shouted as Ice went out the door. Ice then summoned Red Dragon Archfiend for a lift.

"You're off to see Zap aren't you?", Red Dragon asked with a smirk.

"How'd you guess?"

"You usually bring me out for pizza night, hanging out, or seeing Zap. And/or giving her a lift too." Ice let out a chuckle as he climbed on.

"You really know me well partner. WAY better than Dark Mist. Let's fly!"

"Sweet. I've got a date with D.D. Warrior Lady too!" Ice and Red Dragon arrived at Indigo's location.

"Hey there Ice! Glad you could make it!", Indigo greeted as she shared a kiss with him. "And it looks like our monster partners are ready for their date too." Red Dragon handed D.D. Warrior Lady a bunch of flowers. His scales turning bright pink as he handed them over to her.

"Uh, these are for you...hope you like them.", Red Dragon said. D.D. Warrior Lady smiled as she accepted the flowers.

"They're wonderful Red. Thank You." Warrior Lady then kissed Red Dragon on his cheek! "I think we'd better head out on our own date. Have fun Indigo!" Indigo waved goodbye to Warrior Lady as she took Red Dragon Archfiend to their date location.

"So where are we headed first?"

"We could always hit up the comic store first. I hear they've got new E-Hero issues.", Ice suggested.

"Sounds fun!" The two of them headed for the comic book store, but Ice caught something out of the corner of his eye.

"Wait...nah! It couldn't be." As soon as Ice and Indigo were out of sight, the rest of the Crystal Prep Five breathed a sigh of relief.

"Girls? Why are we stalking their date?", Lemon Zest asked.

"We need to bond more with Ice so we can further develop our friendship.", Sugar Coat said flatly.

"Again. How does this justify us stalking them? Shouldn't we let them have their time?", Sunny Flare asked.

"Because we're Zap's friends! AND IF ICE BREAKS HER HEART HE'LL WIND UP IN THE HOSPITAL!", Soursweet replied.

"Point taken." The girls then followed Ice and Indigo to see how their date was going. "Looks like they're having a good time at the comic shop." Ice and Indigo were just leaving the shop when Ice sensed something.

"Indigo, wait here. There's something I gotta check." Ice then made his way over to where the girls were hiding!

"He's coming this way! What do we do?!", Sunny Flare panicked!

"We can make a break for it before he gets here!", Lemon Zest suggested.

"Good plan. Except I'd see you running away.", Ice said as he looked down on them with a smirk. "So would any of you care to explain why you're stalking Indigo and I?"

"We wish to develop our friendship with you.", Sugar Coat replied.

Ice sighed. "So much for a day alone with Indigo. Come on." Ice led them to Zap. "Guess who decided to tag along?" indigo face-palmed.

"Well they're determined. I'll give 'em that.", Indigo said with a small smile.

"We since we're all here, we might as well go over how we all first met!", Lemon Zest suggested.

'And cue the flashbacks...', Ice thought with a smile.
