//------------------------------// // Tales, Presents and a Hearth's Warming Eve // Story: Sunset's Possible Returns, by Princess Celestia // by Marwile //------------------------------// Scenario CS-CC#24: Twas the night of Hearth's Warming Eve. Celestia spent the late hours still doing work in the throne room. Work usually helped to distract her. In this case from realizing that she was spending this holiday of families and friends alone. Again. It didn’t help much. Just when she was about to call it a day, she noticed something happening with the portal. And then a familiar mare walked out of it. “Sunset? Is that you?” Celestia said while tears welled up in her eyes. “Princess!” Sunset shouted joyfully and ran up to the alicorn with tears in her eyes to embrace her in a tight hug. “I’m so sorry for everything I did, princess. I was dumb and selfish. Can you forgive me?” “Of course, my little Sunset. But if I may ask, what caused your change of heart?” “You probably won’t believe me, but I met three ghosts of Hearth’s Warming and they showed me past, present and future, so I could learn from my mistakes. Sounds silly, I know.” “If you say that you saw them, I’ll believe you.” The two then celebrated the holidays together and lived happily ever after. “I would actually like to put on the cloak again.” Luna thought for a moment. “I think the last one was Snowfall Frost.” Scenario CS-WB#26: Again Celestia was celebrating Hearth's Warming Eve alone. She stood before the mirror, staring at the portal Sunset had disappeared in. Then the princess suddenly got an idea. She summoned a scroll alongside feather and ink, wrote something in it and threw it through the mirror. After a few minutes a yellow unicorn ran out of the mirror and hugged Celestia’s forelegs. “Princess Celestia, I’m so glad to see you again. Of course I will celebrate the holidays with you. I’ll go ahead and already prepare everything, alright?” Sunset said in an overly-sweet voice. After Sunset went a guard that saw everything approached Celestia. “If I may ask, what did you write into that letter?” “I promised Sunset her own throne if she makes it here before six.” Celestia answered smiling. “Of course she would get her own throne. If I don’t get my own soon, I will start eating nachos while sitting here again.” Luna said grumpily. Scenario CS-SP#25: Celestia saw a present coming out of the mirror portal on Hearth's Warming Eve. She carefully eyed the mysterious package from all sides. And yes, it looked like an ordinary present. When Celestia got closer the present suddenly started to move. She tried to back away, but it was too late. The present opened and something jumped out and… hugged Celestia. When she looked down she realized that this something was actually a yellow unicorn mare. “Happy Hearth's Warming, Princess Celestia! I missed you so much.” The unicorn said. “Oh Sunset, you made me the best Hearth's Warming-present ever.” Celestia responded while nuzzling Sunset. Luna d’awwed. Scenario CS-WU#23: Celestia heard some strange sounds behind her. When she turned around she saw a mysterious present sitting before the portal. She approached the package despite being sure that it moved a bit. The alicorn read the little card hanging on it. “For Princess Celestia. Now she’s your problem again.” She read out loud. Confused Celestia opened the present and was surprised by what she found in it. Her former student, Sunset Shimmer, sat in it. But probably not voluntary, as she was bound in wrapping paper from head to hoof and visibly struggling to get out of it. She even had a little bow on her horn. Celestia couldn’t stop chuckling. “Do you need help. Seems like you are a bit short-bound.” Sunset only glared at her and managed a low grumble. Luna visibly winced at the end. Scenario CS-NN#31: Sunset stepped out of the mirror. She wore a red full-body spymare-suit with a metallic belt with a heart on it. “Happy Nightmare Night, Princess Celestia!” Sunset shouted happily. “Ehh… It’s Hearth’s Warming Eve, Sunset.” Celestia cleared up. “Buck!” Sunset turned around and disappeared through the mirror again. “What’s wrong with my favourite holiday?” Luna asked herself confused.
