"I must thank you again Ms. Dash for allowing me to stay." Obsidian Blaze stated setting his armor down.
"Yea well just don't try anything, and I've got family coming over tomorrow so stay out of sight don't need them freaking out about a changeling ok." Rainbow Dash retorted flying to her kitchen.
"You know I could just turn into a pony." Blaze stated matter of factly.
"What that unicorn you turned into, how you going to explain how you got up here or how you're walking on clouds?" Dash snorted.
"You'll see." Blaze stated shifting into his pony form, a grin adorning his lips.
"Hey mom, hey dad here let me take that for you." Dash stated excitedly. Grunting she picked up the bags nearly dropping them as a few were enveloped in a red aura.
"I know you think you can carry all of that but you're nor that good." Blaze pointed out floating the bags to the coach.
"Oh Rianbow you didn't tell us you had a colt friend." Dash's mom remarked.
"I-it's not what you think!" Rainbow Dash screeched in panic.
"Your daughter is merely allowing me to stay here until I can finish building my own home here in Ponyville." Blaze stated calmly rolling his eyes at Dash's reaction.
"Well none of my friends had a place for him to stay so..." Dash trailed off.
Looking at him Dash's father spoke up "Don't you try anything with her." he stated sternly.
"No need to worry sir about that my experience with mares are pretty much nonexistent." Blaze replied calmly. Sitting at the table Dash spoke with her parents while Blaze spoke in silence.
"Um are you alright, you seem a bit quiet." Dash's mother spoke up.
"Yes mame I'm fine just didn't want to intrude on your conversation.
"Oh it's alright, anyways where are you from?" Dash's mother asked.
"My family lived just inside the badlands." Blaze stated earning a gasp from the three Pegasi. "We sold tools made of minerals found only in the badlands to travelers so we had a decent food source, basically we gave travelers high grade tools in extange for food." he continued. "There was one filly I meet, Red Hope I think her name was, her family was killed by timber wolves so she came back to us." he finished. Looking around Blaze noticed Dash's mother crying and Rainbow Dash herself about to burst into tears. Noticing that everypony was finished he levitated the dishes over to the kitchen beginning to wash them as Dash's parents went to the guest room.
"Did her parents really get killed by..." Dash began before beginning to cry.
"No under the orders of Queen Chrysalis I took the filly to my chambers to feed off her arcane essence, but instead knowing her parents would die I put her in a cacoon and over time she became a changeling herself." Blaze stated, sadness crossing his voice. "When I became general of the hive I made her my lieutenant, but she never seemed happy..." he trailed off feeling an odd sensation in his horn. Lighting his horn an image of a taller than average drone appeared. "Queen Hope!" he nearly screamed.
"Hello general." Queen Hope stated with a smile.
"Wait is that the filly?" Dash asked. Nodding Blaze smiled. "So you are Queen Red Hope?" she asked earning a nod lined with a giggle. The image faded as Blaze let the spell fall as he returned to washing the dishes. "Well night Blaze, see you tomorrow." Dash stated heading for her room. Nodding Blaze finished and headed to sleep on the coach.
"Well who are you?" Discord asked as Obsidian Blaze hammered a final nail into the frame of his home.
"Huh what, oh sorry caught in thought there sorry." Blaze apologized. "Name's Obsidian Blaze." he continued.
"And I'm Discord." Discord stated glee flowing freely in his voice.
"Oh here's these are from Rarity." Spike stated gasping for breath.
"Thank you Spike." Blaze stated taking the clothes in his magic. Lining boards and nails along his house Blaze hammered each nail into the planks of wood. "And done." he stated happily. Looking around he noticed Applejack and Big Mac with a wagon of furniture.
"Well I'll be when you say you're gonna do somethen you do it." Applejack remarked looking at the two story home.
"Eyep." Big Mac stated looking over the house.
"Thanks for making all this." Blaze thanked levitating the furniture off the wagon.
"Well with all the extra wood from rebilding the barn it's the least we could do." Applejack explained fanning herself with her hat.
"One of the few seasons I hate having a dark coat." Blaze grumbled floating the furniture though the open for door and up the stairs. Coming back outside he noticed Pinkie Pie bouncing with a cart of fine cut stones behind her.
"Hia!" she shouted as she came to a stop.
"Thank you Ms. Pie." Blaze stated smiling. "Come on in." he continued gesturing for the ponies to enter. "It'll take time but I should be able to open in a moon or two." he stated.
"So I can get nails cheaper here?" Applejack asked looking around.
"Well considering you can just come by and pick them up cutting out transportation coast yes." Blaze remarked.
"Wow, hey this mean you don't have to live with me right?" Rainbow Dash asked coming in.
"Yes I'll move my stuff here today." Blaze replied. "Hey Ms. Dash you think we could meet up somewhere tonight?" he asked timidly.
"You mean like a date?" Dash asked.
"Um yes." Blaze replied stuttering.
"Um shure, the Hayburgar tonight six o'clock." Dash replied. Flying off she blushed she wondered why she just accepted a date that night.
